Did GH's Lante Sex Scene Live up to the Hype?

Wow!  I loved this love scene!  They were fantastic.  I thought I saw a blur at one point where Lulu's girls were showing.  Other than that it was a sensitive and sexy scene.  They looked comfortable together and did a great job.

I just can't get over Dante's tramp stamp.  I can't.

I just don't see why a man would get one there unless HE was getting bent over.

I know a few guys with a tatoo in that spot. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Some people like it but I just can't get over it.

I still think that Dante and Lulu are HAWT, with a capital ICE WATER, and I found these scenes to be sweet and charming, despite the fact that I usually have the attention span of a fruitfly when it comes to love scenes. The producers usually try too hard, and they usually end up looking and sounding schmaltzy (with all those silly fade ins and fade outs, the cheesy pans up and down their bodies as they lie on the bed , close ups and that dreadful soapy music that they usually play in the background.) These scenes worked because the actors have MAD chemistry, and it translates well onto the screen. I also loved Lucky walking in and asking Dante if he was gonna "take care of his sister." Lucky, you need to get some loving of your OWN (but not from Elizabeth!) and start concentrating on your OWN love life, as opposed to Lulu's!! There's nothing worse than a meddling big brother (or sister) sticking their nose into your love life. I give these scenes a A. Dominic is just so damned tall, dark and handsome!! Swoon!!! LOL!!!

Thought it looked forced and too rehearsed and Julie Berman couldn't help look at the camera ...

And sorry but having to blur Julie's boobs ? And twice ? That was the contrary of romantic ... That was really gross. What is next for the summer ? Do we will have full frontal nudity of DZ and they will blur his manhood ? Anything to promote this failing couple ? So lame ...

And this pimping of the Lante sex is becoming really ridiculous ... As if nobody had sex before on that show !!! Sorry but if you do a Top 20 of my favorite sex scenes of GH, they won't even be on it ...

I appreciated that even Perkie who is a Lante fan, has said that she was disappointed ... She is honest and I really appreciate.

And globally, if you go to the main soap boards, people are more speaking of JMB potential boob job since Lulu was dumped by Johnny (personnally I don't remember how her boobs were at the time as I ma not a Lulu fan) and laughing at the blurring thing than of the sex scene itself so I guess I would call it a miss ...

And BigDede, I really don't like DZ's tattoos too ...

Some people like it but I just can't get over it.

strato - I didn't notice the blurring of anyone boobs because frankly I wasn't paying any attention to JMB's boobs.  But if GH is desperate enough to show full frontal nudity of DZ I hope they don't blur a darn thing!  LOL!!!

I still like Lante, but I didn't care about the love scene because I think the writers wrote it in too late. Actually, I had trouble watching it because I was constantly focused on the fireplace. Who has their fireplace running in the month of May?

I have noticed the "blurring" too ... And as everyone was talking about it ... More than of the scene itself ...

Didn't like the sex scene either. Looked really forced to me and the boops part really bothered me (as well as DZ mecanically trying to cover it with the sheet...).

It looked so "not natural" and what bothered me the most was all that happened before ... Was happy to see that Dante didn't have enough time to find Michael but had some to go buy some groceries ....
And the cooking thing was such a JoLu redo ... Can they try to be a little bit creative ?

And of course, as with any man, Lulu has to say that it was the best ... everything ....

The problem with GH is that they never acknowledge history of the character ... Like when Liz had to say that Nic was her best sex ever .... This is stupid. That's what I like with Y&R and DOOL : they do not forget that characters have history, they interact ... they remember what happened to them before.

But to come back to the sex scene it itself, as the great Shakespeare said "Much ado about nothing" ...

And Sassy, don't know if GH will be "desperate" enough to do the full monty thing but in this case I will definitively don't put DZ on top of my GH secret list

The scene itself was awesome! However the timing was off in a big way. This should have happened monthes ago!  I think people would've been able to appreciate the love scene more if it wasn't juxtaposed w/ the neverending lame trial and betrayal bla bla bla.

Out of context, just watching the scene on it's own and in context w/ the rest of their scenes up to now, it was a great pay-off and they did a fantastic job.
Poor JMB's boobs were everywhere though. I wish the director or camera, editor whoever protected her modesty slightly more, but I'm not complaining. It was great. So funny they didn't put a gun shot scar on Dante's chest. Where's the continuity in that lol? Their chemistry is off the charts, and very believable. Lante ftw. The rest of the show bums me out. I would just watch all the happy scenes in a perfect world, but I wouldn't know what the hell was going on

What a noise for what ? What was supposed to be romantic  and such a big deal for the snoozefest that Lante is just turned into a big buzz about JMB boobs .... And a big laugh ...

I don't think it's what GH wanted ... But they should have thought about it before ...

I am not a Lulu fan .... But I think JMB is a very talented actress and I feel sad for her.

And after having started as a Dante fan, I now can't stand him. So I was happy to read that in her last interview yesterday JMB let people know that BL is going to be major angst for Lante and that she is not sure that Dante will really be THE guy for Lulu. Just an interview but as long they stop this huge boredom that Lante is I am all for it !

Well, I love Lulu and Dante and I thought their part in the whole episode was adorable!  They were sweet, loving, playful and sexy.  They have more chemistry than I've seen in a very long time on any soap.  Those of you that didn't like it probably LOVE the mob and the violence of almost every other SL on the show.

And in the parallel universe...Olivia and Johnny...like mother, like son!  Their scenes were pretty hot too.

Hey Sallyv, sorry to disagree but a lot of people who don't like Lante also do not like the mob. read a few of the comments of this board (and the daily comments on Perkie's page)

I am a die hard Lulu fan and I am really not a fan of Sonny (was so happy wen I heard an undercover cop was coming to try to take him down ...). But I hate how Dante behaves as if he is so far superior than anybody else and he alone knows what's right from wrong (considering that he is the same guy that did commit perjury on the stand, I think he should learn humility). And I hate what Dante has done to Lulu. Since she is with him she has betrayed all the people who have been there for her when she needed Luke and Laura the most and they were not there ...

I can't believe that she doubted Ethan (because of "genes" even if Luke didn't raise Ethan) but does not doubt Dante (who has a strong paternity speaking against him ...). Lulu has lost all consistency. She is now reduced to being a prop of Dante and cannot speak without throwing up Dante every two words ... Lulu deserves better ... And I hope it is not true that Dante is keeping a picture of Brook Lynn in his wallet because it would be worse than anything after all his promises ... But he keeps lying to everybody so why not to Lulu ? I can't wait for Lante to break up and for Lulu to be freed of this selfish jerk.

And as far as the sex scenes, if what TPTB wanted was comments on blurred boobs that's a hit .. If not, I would certainly call it a miss ...

Madithusa you are right. I hate Lante and I don't like the mob. But the Dante fans are playing the guilt trip "If you blame Dante it must be because you like the evil people when us Dante fans we are supporting the good side of the law (like what committing perjury ?" Let them say what they want. The Dante hate is growing everywhere and it is more than time !

And regarding the overpromoted Lante sex scene I thought this love scene was not romantic at all, JMB was glancing at the camera and the blurred boobies ? What a joke.

Please break up this boredom of a couple already ...
