David Hasselhoff Heads Back To Y&R

This could be interesting and has potential to be good, but given the way things have been going in the last year, I am not very confident in their ability to do this well.

I can't stand David Hasselhoff. I'm sure Chelsea Handler will enjoy this news.

I only hope that this is not a part of another SHAMELESS rewriting of history!!! Been there, done that, got the headaches prove it!!

I am also not a HUGE Hasselhoff fan, but I will reserve my comments until I see what happens.

 LOL GossipGirl, Chelsea Handler loves ripping on The Hoff! I can't wait either!

 I'm sorry, but why is he coming back, to Y&R? Is that his only option lately? And why would Y&R bring him back, is his character connected to anyone on the show anymore?

 The show is pretty bad these days, hopefully David won't make it any worse.

I suppose, if done well, this could be interesting.

I tend to think of a 3-ring circus these days when I hear Hasselhoff's name (which, of course, would mean he'll fit right in with all the insanity on our screens right now) but he was good as Snapper back in the day.

And Wings Hauser--all I ever see him play these days are villains but he was great as Greg.

Dare I even hope that this could turn the ship around?

Snapper was Jill's brother when Brenda Dickson was still in the role.  After the Jill/Kay mother daughter s/l I have no idea if Jill and Snapper are still related. 

I don't have much faith in the current regime to do a good job with Hoff's return.  It's been so many years does anyone really care about Snapper or Greg anymore? The Hoff is always good for some camp but not sure this show needs any more cheese at this point.

Well those idiots finely got it right bringing back Snapper, just hope someone doesn't have to die to bring him back.

 I'm guessing Jill's gonna turn out to be a real Foster after all, or Ma Foster must have croaked...

I love having Wings Hauser back as Greg, but The Hoff as Snapper ... isn't really what this show needs right now or at all. William Gray Espy would have been the better choice with all the drama that Hasselhoff is having in his life.
Excited to see Julianna McCarthy back as Liz. I just hope that Liz isn't dying and that's the reason for this family reunion.

I hope it is revealed that Jill is really a Foster.  After my initial shock has worn off I think this could be good.  I was obviously not born when the Foster family was prominent on Y&R but I have always enjoyed when Julianna McCarthy has come back as Liz.

Is Julianna McCarthy coming back as Liz also? I did not read anywhere that she was coming back with Snapper and Greg? Do you have any info on the subject. I truly hope so I always LOVED the character. Thanks

If you read the EW article on this it says that she is returning along with the other guy.

Sounds great to me!  I loved the first 10 years of Y&R with its focus on the Brooks and Foster families.  That was good writing and superb acting without need of any outlandish plastic surgery induced twins or ridiculous plot twists.  Wish we could go back & do it again!  It's funny because just yesterday someone on another web site asked who people would most like to return & I responed Lorie, Leslie & Chris Brooks &, Snapper , Greg & Liz Foster.  At least part of my wish has been granted!
I hope that Liz comes back with Snapper & Greg ... & why not bring along Chris (she is Snapper's wife after all), Lorie & Leslie?  Hey, I can dream, can't I?

That's all I have to say. I never thought this would happen.

I would rather seen James Houghton back as Greg instead of this one but as Grandma used to say: I'll take it.

I hope everyone is seeing the "BRIEFLY reprise his role" part.  Apparently this is so he has something to pimp in his new reality show.

I keep hoping they are bringing them all back to resolve Jill's parentage and have Jill still be a Foster. They could do this so easily. Obviously she can't be Liz' daughter because Liz has already been on the show and explained she couldn't have any more kids. But why didn't she question Bill Foster more when he came home one day with a baby? What hospital would just hand over a baby to a middle aged man like that?

I think he cheated on Liz and had the baby out of wedlock. Either the woman died or told Bill she didn't want it. He brought the baby home to Liz and made up the bogus story hoping she wouldn't ask any questions (since he knew she wanted a daughter anyway). Than flash forward to 2010 where *something* happens with Jill and she needs some bone marrow or something. Bill Sr. confessed at some point to his sons that Jill was their half-sister and made them promise never to tell their mother because it would destroy her. The whole thing would have remained a secret were it not for this "emergency" with Jill hence they all show up.

Just my guess. It has to be something big for all of them showing up like this. And I don't think it will be for a wedding or a funeral. There's been plenty of those in Genoa City over the years and the Fosters have stayed away.

Ok this would have been a good move for Y&R 10 years ago but the magic has gone on this one I loved Snapper it was his break through role as an actor! Loved Jess Walton on Capitol but she never did the role of Jill Foster any justice the way Brenda Dickson did miss you Bren!
