By Luke Kerr on April 12, 2010

One Life to Live's original Dorian Lord, Nancy Pinkerton Peabody, passed away on March 4 at the age of 69, according to the East Hampton Star. Peabody also appeared on The Edge of Night, On Somerset, The Doctors, As the World Turns and Guiding Light. Our thoughts are with her family.

I am old enough to remember all of Nancy Pinkerton's daytime roles and she was one incredible actress ... from the sweet, naive Beth Moon Anderson on THE EDGE OF NIGHT to the calculating, manipulative Dorian Lord on ONE LIFE TO LIVE to the strong, quiet Dorothy Connors on AS THE WORLD TURNS ... she never turned in less that a brilliant performance
and she will be sorely missed by her fans and co-workers alike! Thank you for sharing your talent, wonderful lady!

Nancy was Dorian when I first started watching OLTL and will always be my personal favorite. She was also on The Doctors as hospital administrator Vivieca, a far cry from Dorian. I remember when she left that show. Her character said, "I think I'll go away for a while" and she never came back. I hadn't seen her on anything after that, but I never forgot her.
What superb talent. She will be missed.
