"Nasty, Sexy Bastard" Jeff Branson IN for Season Two of Venice

Michael Fairman
recently interviewed two of the internet's most buzzed about soap personalities, Crystal Chappell and Kim Turrisi about all things Venice. One of the things the chat reveals is that Daytime Emmy winner Jeff Branson will be joining the web series after all. The All My Children and Guiding Light hearttrob will be playing Gina's "nasty, sexy bastard" cousin! Okay...Crystal you SO have a title for a Venice spinoff featuring Branson's character—Nasty, Sexy Bastard!

Crystal Chappell: In regards to season two, we are going to see that Gina is going to start her healing process, and a lot of stuff is going to happen between she and the Colonel. We are going to discover some not so attractive things about Lara, and Ani is going to figure a few things out. There is a beautiful story being played by Galen and Gina, and then Van is coming back to town, who is Guya’s son. And…. he is a nasty sexy bastard!

(Later in interview)

Michael Fairman: Have you cast anybody? Can you let one out of the bag for us?

CC
: Yup! Jeff Branson is coming on board as Van! So it will be Gina and Jeff and Galen, in a story, and that is going to be messy.

This was an amazing article. One of the best i have read with Crystal and Kimmy. I loved their honesty about the ups and downs of bringing us Venice. It is clear that everything they have done has been a labor of love. Season 2 is sure to be great. Jeff Branson, Susan Flannery as director, 12 min episodes and some more surprise guests. I can't wait to witness the second part of this journey. Glad it may be free but I would have paid. I just bought some more merch over at their site too. Glad to support this in any way I can.

I'm kinda bummed about Lara being turned into basically the "bad guy" I kinda liked her and Ani plus all that pretty on my screen was good stuff. But if they actually make me like Gina (I do love CC and Otalia) then I guess I can get past that looking forward to season 2.
