Rosie O'Donnell Planning a Return to Daytime
By Luke Kerr on March 21, 2010

Rosie O'Donnell is planning a return to daytime and has landed a syndication deal to make it possible. She is looking to fill the gap that will be left by Oprah in 2011, according Showbiz 411. Meanwhile, according to The Hollywood Reporter, broadcast network stations may be gun-shy at airing the talk show.
Secondly, the ABC stations carried "Rosie" and, while initially very happy with it and with O'Donnell's "queen of nice" persona, grew increasingly uncomfortable towards the end of the show's run as it became more controversial and political. The fact that O'Donnell is doing the show outside of the studio system indicates her intention to stay true to herself, which could mean more of the strong political views and attacking style that got her in hot water on the syndicated show and on "The View."

I'd much rather see her five days a week than that BOBBLEHEAD doll, Wendy Williams, or all of those silly, monotonous courtroom shows!!!! I like Rosie O'Donnell!! She should have stayed on "The View", and that sad excuse for a human being Elizabeth "Hasslebitch" should have stayed on maternity leave PERMANENTLY!! She only seems to be good for popping out babies!!!!! How many more years before she becomes the next "OctoMom"???

Thanks for the Warning !!
Well one thing will be different with this version of her talk show versus her last one: She WONT be fawning all over Tom Cruise !
As you may recall, before she came OUT, she would FAWN all over Tom Cruise in order to keep the ladies in the Midwest and southeast tuning in....... You see, that was Rosie's way of saying "im straight"...........
Now that she is OUT, she won't be doing that anymore....

Rosie Was Ga-Ga Over Tom Cruise while on the view and she was out then
I actually like this and would rather watch her than that insipid Aisha Tyler pilot floating around out there

I agree, I loved the Rosie show and enjoyed her on the view, I'd rather watch her talk show than Aisha Tyler, or another judge show. But this is coming from a girl that enjoyed Roseanne's show for however long it lasted.

I think I just threw up in my mouth.
I hate Rosie . . . and I'm pretty liberal.

Um, no words here. You can be gay and fawn all over anyone you want. You like who you like, Rosie is still a fan of Tom Cruise, she still fawns all over hm. There is no law saying if your gay you can't fawn over anyone your not attractive to.

Rosie should do a Jerry Springer political show where the show guests fight with each other with fisticus.

What the hell is a fisticus???
Also,
ladyofthelake, thanks for addressing that. I could only shake my head at the idiocy of that post, and I could even begin to respond to it.

I worship Rosie. Her politics are about this shocking thing called equality for all.
Without her and Meredith at the View, it is like all the hallway monitors you hated during school running the show, kissing Barbara's butt.
She is just too real and honest for a lot of right wing haters who use that book to harass others.
Love you, Rosie!

I hope that this never gets off the ground. I don't have a problem with liberals having their own shows. I watch Olbermann and Maddow everyday. However, when it comes to entertainment shows like you watch during daytime, leave the politics behind.

Dear Rosie --
Sweetie, we're over you. We watched your talk show and you walked away from it like you had good sense -- which I'm really not sure you have. Oh, yeah, you also walked away from The View and there was a collective sigh of relief. So, listen, Rosie, you keep up with your blog and the 16 people who still give a shit can keep up with you there. Sorry, Rosie, you're just too 1997, so give it up.
Best,
Scout

I am not really sure why folks had a problem with Rosie expressing her point of view on a show that is called "The View"".

Love Rosie, The View was not her ideal format though... She needs to have show like she used to have.

I have never hated a person more than this woman, I just signed up for more channels, I now have 500 channels and the movie channels, her and Howard Stern are my most hated people. I even started watching the Tonight Show because of these clowns.
