Kreizman and Swajeski to Reignite The Chandlers vs. The Cortlandts on All My Children

What Cortlandt's will go toe to toe with the Chandler's??? 
Will they recast Ross Chandler & have him running the Cortlants company???  Or is Bobby coming home --- ie Brian Gasskill???

There is talk that the show wanted an older business man on canvas to fill the void left by Adam-- Ross could fill that perfectly.  Maybe Scott Holmes would exit ATWT to head over to Pine Valley as Ross????? If they really wanna strech it -- they could recast Cliff.  Maybe Bradley Cole could play Cliff????  Wasnt Cliff & Angie once an item?? 

I mean there arent many Cortlandts to pick from???  Will Nina take on JR or Annie... DOUBT IT!  Petey is still a kid & Opal or Daisy... well Opal & Daisy arent gonna run a multi million dollar company!   So it's most likely a return of Bobby, Ross or Cliff. 

I called it in the past, and I am calling it again.  The Chandlers will turn into a giant joke, and within a year Erica Kane will have a deadly cancer storyline.    I just know Kller Kriezman is ready and waiting to give Erica a cancer storyline.  Someone will die on the show and they will just rehash the death over and and over for 3+ years.  I just hope Fronz can control him.

I am cautiously optimistic, I will give them a chance.
The only thing I didn't like was that they said that Ryan and Greenlee are popular, oh well, I love their ideas:

They are actually giving Marissa a backbone, giving Angie and Jessie a frontburner storyline (it's about time), bringing in the teen scene (as long as they bring back Reggie, Sean, Dani, Cassie, Pete, and  one of the Santos kids I will be happy).

I think bringing back Ross would be great, Bobby as well. Also, maybe have Nina-Jessie-Angie-Cliff quad, that would be interesting we will see what happens.

I will say this however-- I put NO FAITH into the interviews new HW's give when they first start!  I remeber reading Chuck Pratt's interview of his vision of the show- and how ERICA KANE would be his Scarlett O'Hara- and I was excited.  WHAT A HUGE LET DOWN THAT WAS!!!!!!!!! 

That's why we should be cautious about this and play it by ear.

Killer Kreizman's young.  He's got plenty of shows to kill.  Slaying 2 of the longest running programs on television is going to be kids stuff.   But I do want to be positive about AMC's future on the air.  Any reports on what my love Ellen Wheeler is doing after ATWT wraps?

It's a shame how the show treated Palmer (and James Mitchell) over the last decade, giving him practically no storyline, and little table scraps here and there..........Of course, the new writers aren't to blame, but it's just so sad!!!

After Chuck Pratt, I see nowhere to go but UP!!! Practically ANY writer would be a huge improvement over that incompetent boob!!!!

Of course, he came on to the show, as I remember, with a lot of promises and talking about "revitalizing" the show, and of course, he did the COMPLETE OPPOSITE!! He ran the show practically into the ground!!

I have faith in Kreizman and Swajeski. I watched the last few months of "Guiding Light," and they are definitely capable of telling powerful stories and creating great characters!!! I just hope they don't screw it up!!!

I was hoping to hear that he's gonna get rid of Marissa and give JR a wife who isn't some weird pod-person with no personality, but (groan!)-----I agree, Jamie Luner is a great actress who was simply cast in the wrong part!! (ANOTHER OF PRATT'S STUPID MOVES!!!)-----Erica Kane does need a new man in her life, and a fresh new love triangle between her, Jack and a third man will be fun to watch. Putting Erica and Jack back together without conflict will be boring, and the audience will probably end up getting bored as well!!!

I'm just crossing my fingers and waiting for this show to get back to being FANTASTIC again!! Right now, it's FAR from it!!!

It's too bad these two can't be unleashed on prime time reality!  There are plenty of those gawdawful shows that need to be killed.

I love Rebecca Budig, but I'm not watching the show again until I can be assured there will be no Greenlee-Ryan reunion.  I don't trust anything I read in this interview. 

I think that the old Petey, Daniel Kennedy, was a great actor who could have done an even BETTER job if there had been decent writers around at that time!!! It was hard for EVERYONE to make Pratt's garbage work!! Hell, that's what drove Eden Riegel over to Y&R!!!!!!!

I just feel that Pratt threw away Petey's character, and that is the real mistake!!! I say they should bring back Kennedy to play Petey, and give him an interesting female character to "play with".....And by interesting, I mean NOT COLBY AGAIN (unless they do a much needed recast!!!!)

Yeah, I wonder where these people are getting their "figures" at concerning the popularity of Greenlee and Ryan. Does Agnes Nixon like them as a couple?? She is a creative consultant!! Or maybe there is some SECRET demographic out there flooding the ABC studios with "WE (heart) Rylee!!" memorabilia??? Stranger things have happened. I am torn because I always have thought that Cameron Mathison and Rebecca Budig had great chemistry together, and played well off of each other both comedically and dramatically, but I can't forget all the plot-driven garbage that the past writing regimes have put the CHARACTERS through!!!

I agree with an above poster. I just can't watch this show again if I'm going to have to sit through another rehash of Ryan/Greenlee. My stomach can't handle it. Plus they don't call him killer Kreizman for nothing I'm dreading what he'll do to the Chandlers (JR and Scott, current blonde playing Colby) and the non existant Cortlands. Hey at least we might not have a Erica cloning storyline.

 I think Petey should be soras-ed again, as should Colby - and they should go toe to toe. In the past they tried to make Petey like Spinelli (GH), but that just doesn't fit the overall classiness of AMC. On the other hand if Petey came back as Peter a suave business man, and had Colby struggling to keep the Chandlers afloat, I think that could be interesting - and lead to a fun, more mature office romance. 
OMG. And I vote for Martha Madison as Colby and Daniel Cosgrove (when ATWT is done) as Peter.

David Kreizman and Donna Swajeski were not responsible for the cloning of Reva Shayne. That was done by Barbara Esensten and James Harmon Brown, who wrote for the show before Pratt replaced them, but I think that writers have learned their lesson, and it's safe to say that no future daytime writers will resort to CLONING as a storyline possibility...........I hope!!!

Aging Petey and Colby is a tempting proposition, but again with Jamie Luner playing the mother, they I don't think they can realistically age Colby all THAT much!!! I mean, Jamie is 39 years old, so having some 30 year old actress (or 30-year old LOOKING actress) would be kinda' ridiculous. It seems unlikely that they will recast Jamie now----but I could be wrong. I am weary of recasts on AMC, because Judy Blye Wilson is so freaking INCOMPETENT!! She couldn't find the right actor if he or she bit her in her old ass!!!!!

Killer Kreizman is at it again !!

Chandler versus Cortland is Kreitzman's answer for AMC.  When he wrote Guiding Light, he came up with the absolutely ASININE Spauldings versus Coopers clan.

Any story centering around the Spauldings versus the Coopers clan was an absolute bore and drove me to reach for the remote in order to fast forward.

 Jamie Luner is 39? Don't get me wrong, she's attractive; but I thought she was in her late 40's. 

I loved AMC so much up until Leo left. Even McTavish had good Kane women moments. Pratt has destroyed this show, and that show-killer Kreizman will finish the job.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but how is a Chandler vs Cortlandt rivalry going to work without Palmer and Adam? Considering David Canary is leaving and James Mitchell recently passed away (not that they gave him any respectable storylines this past decade. Sigh). Jacob Young and MC Egan and Adam Mayfield are the only passable actors who will remain in either of those families.

Ryan makes me sick. NOBODY LIKES THE RYAN AND GREENLEE PAIRING. Zero chemistry!! It didn't work the first 300 times -- why would it work now? Let's not forget that Ryan screwed Kendall so quick, I bet Greenlees "corpse" was still warm.

These hacks will kill this show. I give them two years max.

Well I will say this I have been checking out AMC again and it aint that bad.

DK was really good at Gl when he first started and DS was really good at AW during her time.

I wonder what these two will do at AMC. From March 2007- Sept 2009 these two ruined GL for me. It was awful stories and the show was nothing.

Rylee isn't a "hugely popular" supercouple; they're a STUPORCOUPLE!  Give me my Dalee! :)

I'm excited for some of the storylines, but I'm cautious too. We'll have to see how everything turns out. I'm quite excited for the Angie/Jesse storyline as well as the Erica/Greenlee fights. The Chandler/Cotlandt feud however gives me pause. It's not that it couldn't be a good storyline, but there are hardly any Codtlandts on the show. They're gonna have to do some major scrambling to try and get some to return or be recast.
Another thing I don't like is all this talk aboy Rylee getting back together. I was *huge* Ryan and Greenlee fand and wanted her  to come back to Ryan *right up* until the creation of the David/Greenlee. pairing. Rylee's had their day David/Greenlee is what it's all about.

New H/Ws always try to make their new approach seem sparkly and everything that the audience wants so I'll believe it when I see it.

So they are reigniting the Chandler/Cortlandt feud without the driving fo0rces behind it (Adam and Palmer) and no one of note on the Cortlandt side currently on the show.
Well at least they can't go the same route as the Spaulding/Cooper feud since there is no class difference between the two families that would automatically make the rich family the bad guy while the poor family is the salt of the Earth.

I wouldn't be upset to see Ross back...Palmer's son that was raised by Adam is too rich of a character to remain in limbo indefinately. Besides his birth is what started the Chandler/Cortlandt feud to begin with. They would have to de-age the character a bit with a recast since Robert Gentry is only 2 years younger thsan David Canary and looks it. Robert Newman (Josh, GL) or Roscoe Borne (Mitch, OLTL) would be great in the role.

I am all for SORASing Petey to his 20's and they can even bring Dixie back.

My biggest wish is for them to recast Liza...Fronz can ship Jamie Luner off to General Hospital if he loves her so much because she just does not work in this role. They screwed the poch by not getting Beth Chamberlin (Beth, GL) when they decided to recast Liza.

Anyway, if they are going to bring the Chandlers back, they need to do it right.

NINA - Bring back Taylor Miller to help oversee Palmer's affairs and assets. She agrees to take over Courtlandt family business and tries to bring the company back.

CLIFF - BRADLEY COLE AS CLIFF WARNER. He played Prince Richard on Bold and the Beautiful. Since there is ZERO chance of Peter Bergman coming back, Bradley Cole looks a little like PB, AND he is a great actor to boot! He can come back and take residence at the hospital.

PETER - Bring back Daniel Kennedy. Palmer's death hits Petey HARD. He comes back and just changes into a morbid, wreckless guy. His life spins out of control and will need Colby to help reign him in.

WILL  - Wouldn't it be so awesome if Will Cortlandt showed up at Palmer's funeral out of nowhere? Isn't he supposed to be dead? How is he even alive? I'm sure the writers would be able to come up with some good story. I know the whole Back from the dead thing is played out, but after PRATT, I will accept anything that helps bring back good characters. Will could try to take control of Palmer's assets. He could be the new Cortland alpha male.

^That would be my plan to bring the Cortlandt's back to PV.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them bring Ross back.  That way, every ABC soap would have a rapist as part of the regular cast.  ;-\
