Jillian's Y&R Spoilers

Emily: Dr. P tries her best to get Paul to realize she's not his psycho sister Patty. When Emily attempts to get him to perform a DNA test, he shuts her down. Paul thinks "Patty" has lost her grip on reality and is still trying to pass herself off as Emily. Em tries not to blow her stack with him since she will wind up wearing a straitjacket. Meanwhile, Paul heads to court to ask for "Emily" to be taken off "Patty's" case. When Patty finds out, she starts to freak a little since she won't be able to keep tabs on Emily. Later, Patty goes by the mental hospital and drugs Em.

A scared Emily starts to become very jumpy and wired after the drug kicks in. She keeps fighting the effects in order to reach her goal of proving who she is. Patty attempts to convince the judge to allow her to stay on as the doctor for "Patty." While this is taking place, Emily pretends to be sick in order to bust into the courtroom to see Jack. She thinks if he hears from her he will realize Patty's back to her antics. Em barges in and shouts out to Jack and while she's being dragged off, she yells out to Jack about ice skating. A stunned Jack looks on and starts to think about why "Patty" would yell out such a thing...

Billy/Victoria: Sworn enemies start getting closer.

Chance/Chloe: The Detective pops the question and Chloe gives her decision (don't do it girl!).

Patty: Someone figures out she's pretending to be Emily.

The good folks of Genoa City have a masquerade ball.

Hmmm.......could it be Adam who figures it out??? And could he use that to blackmail her to keep him out of prison???? Could this story be any more predictable????? Could I be getting any sleepier just THINKING about it????

I will get off the "I hate Patty/Emily" bandwagon, because it doesn't look like they're going anywhere anytime soon!! I will just continue to fast-forward through the lion's share of this foolishness until it gets REMOTELY interesting......if and when that miracle occurs!!!

This story is turning Jack Abbott into a moron, and they say that any story that involves turning smart chracters into stupid characters is nothing more than PLOT-DRIVEN garbage, and I don't believe that Jack could possibly be THIS stupid!!!

This show needs fewer psychos and more BELIEVABLE stories that make sense and don't compromise long-term characters and long-time viewers!!! They need to go back in the time machine to 2008 when the show was damn near perfect!!!

I'm a Y&R fan, but this has to be one of the worst storylines ever. It's worse than the dumbing down of Rex on OLTL.  It's worse because you have two really smart men, Paul and Jack being turned into the "village idiots"   How is it on God's green earth that they can't tell difference between those two, especially Jack. He's been been places on both women. Even Stevie Wonder would catch the difference in a millisecond.

As you may know I love old clips This is the first opening of Y&R opening theme 1973. Sure do miss those old days. They use to start playing the music while the scene was still going on. I know that no one likes theme music anymore, I like it for nostalgic reasons.
Let me know what you think.

Yeah, have to agree the Patty storyline has gone off the rails (as if it were ever really on the tracks); the writers are telegraphing every move this story's making with little to no suspense and they are indeed writing both Jack and Paul as complete imbeciles.  And it's obvious Adam's going to figure out the ruse and use it to his advantage which means he's probably gonna exit the scene with nary a scratch(well, relatively speaking that is).  That said,  Stacy Haiduk is nothing short of brilliant and if she doesn't win an Emmy come awards' time it will indeed be highway robbery.

Billy and Victoria.....hmm....have to say I kinda like them together.  I actually enjoy watching Billy Miller do something other than mug and grin for the camera and he seems to dial it down a hundred or so notches when he's working with AH; maybe he's just giving her the opportunity to catch up.  Still, I like it.

Chance/Chloe.......zzzzzzzzz.....short story about that--no.

I've got to agree with you guys about the Patti/Emily storyline making Jack and Paul both look like imbeciles.
Cris Ga-  I totally agree with you about Sracey Haiduk deserving an Emmy for her performance.

Don't know if you guys were reading about the popular daytime actress who is getting thrown out, part of a long term triangle, and finally knowing who _____ will end up with.  I really hope that it's not Michelle Stafford.  If it is, I think we need to boycott the show, or something.   That would be a total injustice as she's probably the best actress on daytime.

all these spoiler sound as boring. what the hell are the writers doing to the show

the patty storyline should have ended when she was revealed last year.and it is very predictable that adam to be the one to figure out patty is emily.

billy and vicky are just

chance and chole are as boring as beastmaster and his child bride

I have a question what in the hell are the writers doing to nikki and where is she?  was MTS only took back to prop up the abusive old goat. nikki with her abusive is sick and degrading to women and totally gives out the wrong message about abuse in relationships.

Well I still think the blind item about the actress involved in a long-term triangle is in regards to OLTL's Florencia Lozano (also brilliant and Emmy-worthy) but if it was Michelle Stafford, who's probably my absolute favorite actress working in daytime?  Let's just say I would definitely join that boycott.

Say no Chloe! Say no, break his heart and maybe he will get drunk and lose his virginity with somebody else, be burden with guilt and actually be more interesting for once.

I actually kinda love that Jack can't tell Emily and Patty apart. I mean is stupid without a doubt but it just shows that he doesn't know Emily and Patty can play him however she wants. Laughing out loud Hey, I have to get some fun out of this silliness!

so we all know Adam will find out about Patty/Emily...blackmail her to keep him out of prison and instead in an institution (where of course one day he will escape and in 5 yrs that's how they will bring this character back to the show)...what i'm wondering is if he will also blackmail her into switching the DNA tests so it looks like Ashley is a match.  of course with all the wrong DNA tests lately on this show you think the newmans/abbots would have 3 independant tests done...but of course not...that would be too smart.

I will give Jack a pass, somewhat, that he is so focused on Ashley's potential meltdown that he is not paying attention to his new wife. But he should have been able to tell weeks ago when, at the honeymoon, Patty's sex was more aggressive and guttural, versus Emily's, which was more tender and loving. (What a maroon!)

I disagree about Paul being made to be an idiot.... How exactly was he supposed to tell that the switch occurred? I think it will look bad when Adam figures it out in five seconds and a detective, who is supposed to read body language and motivation, cannot figure it out.

I'm still disappointed by Vail Bloom being switched with Eden Riegel.

Paul is being made out to look dumb exactly for the reason you just stated.  When Emily stated her credentials then said take a DNA test, that should have at least piqued Paul's curisoity. Even if he didn't believe it, as a detective, you would think that he would have tested her DNA just to totally exclude the possiblity.

I'm one of those who has no trouble suspending belief because after all it is a TV show, but come on,  to have Adam figure it out in five seconds flat and Paul completly oblivious just makes it seriously bad storytelling.

I'm still trying to figure out why Adam is in Custody. What is he being "charged" with?

Certainly The "Purple Piece of Cloth" Caper can't hold up in court.

Intriqued about the Masquerade Ball, however...

I'm  thinking the same about the Adam being in custody bit goyankees. He was basically kidnapped and held against his will by a bunch of vigilante thugs. All of them, and especially Heather, should suffer some sort of consequences for their part there. Yes he did do all that they think he did but they do not know that for sure. He admitted nothing and all they have to go on legally is a possibility that he knew what the now dead doctor had done. Even so, with the dead doctor's sordid past, it was not illegal for Adam to covort with him nor to bring him in to "help" Ashley.

So it is another segment that is not quite rational.

I want Adam to STAY and nick do LEAVE.  Nick is the stupidest character in the history of daytime.   ...IMO.

Well ... I don't know if Nick is the most stupid character in daytime history but he is rather dense when it comes to keeping his fly shut when it needs to be. Also, in real life even the children of tycoons who enter the family business tend to have a rather sophisicated education. When and where did Nick get his education between stays in the jail house on usually trumped up charges?

Had Adam been written better rather than the way he eventually was he would have been the perfect foil for Nictoria. He actually is a near carbon copy of Victor when you take away his more extreme faults. They could have been quite the team.

Wouldn't say Nick is one of the most stupid characters in daytime--just one of the most boring.  Frankly, he's only remotely interesting when being propped up by Phyllis (probably because she's the only one who actually reminds him he's a MAN and needs to start acting like it when he starts that little Newman woe-is-me routine; Victoria is also a pro at the Newman poor, pitiful me act).

As for Adam, the sooner he leaves the better; I realize he's been written into a corner and his behavior is all Victor's fault--after all, at no point in time should an individual actually take responsibility for their actions when they can just lay the blame at the absentee father's feet--but I'm ready for him to go.   The every-word-out-of-his-mouth-is-a-lie routine is tiresome and frankly more insulting than compelling.

semprasectum I Agree! Nick could make good $ as a Geico Caveman. When he appears on screen my hubby and I make monkey noises ... (sorry, I know a lot of women love him but not me - give me a smart guy like Adam anyday)
