Julianne Moore on ATWT Return: "Happy To Go Back"

Oscar-nominated actress Julianne Moore reveals to WENN what to expect when one of her characters, Frannie Hughes, returns to her former stopming grounds on As The World Turns.

Says Moore,

"There is no time continuum in soaps, so I just came back as one of the sisters. The other one was stuck somewhere else! "As The World Turns was my first big job and everyone was wonderful and incredibly professional and very supportive and loving. It was a great job for me, so when they said the show was ending it was incredibly sad because you don't want to see anything end like that.

"I was happy to go back and glad to be there near the end of it. I was glad to see the people who played my parents and the woman who played my sister and to see a couple of the crew members who were still there. It was cool to be able to have that opportunity and to thank people."

What a great lady, her and Sandra Bullock are about the only ones I can stand in Hollywood, down to earth women. I can't wait for the scenes with Nancy. It hasn't struck me yet that ATWT is over. The '80s were a great time for the soaps, when I started watching it. Now with the NCAA on been watching other soaps, I just can't get into them not knowing the characters and their history, don't know what I'm going to do, I won't be watching CBS. I have watched it with my mom and Grandma they would talk about it over the phone for about a half an hour and GL. It's like a death in the family.

I didn't know her when she was on ATWT, but love her work on film. Julianne in 'The Hours' and 'Far From Heaven' still give me chills. What a classy lady- love her even more now.

This is why I've always thought Julianne Moore was such a wonderful actress. She has never made negative comments about her early work in show business. When so many actors and actresses put down working in daytime, she has always been proud of her accomplishments.

I'm just waiting for the day that Hollywood finally rewards her with the Oscar she deserves. Maybe next year. She's definitely a very classy lady.

I would love to see the ratings the day after she comes on. They will be huge. ATWT is getting positive feedback from all over the internet. To bad it's only one day.

Julianne Moore is love . It's interesting how a critically acclaimed thespian like Julianne Moore doesn't shy away from her soap roots, while a mediocre actress like Demi Moore thinks she's so good that she refuses to even acknowledge the fact that she got her start on daytime.
