General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
Look how quickly a lie can lead to someone’s death. Within minutes of Kristina pointing the finger at Ethan, Sonny is at the Haunted Star, with a gun at Ethan’s head. I was glad Lucky had the forethought to call Dante and have him go over there ahead of him. If he hadn’t, Ethan would have been dead by the time Lucky got to the Star. And why does Sonny have a gun while out on bail for killing his wife?
Kristina describes everything that happened, exactly as it happened, just substituting Kiefer’s name with Ethan’s. So the question now is, does she hate Ethan enough to blame him for something so heinous? Does she feel that if he hadn’t turned her down at the Star, than she wouldn’t have been home for Kiefer to beat her? I didn’t feel at any time that she was necessarily protecting Kiefer. To me, it felt more like she was punishing Ethan. And if that’s the case, I’m not sure how I feel about her.
I’m glad Ethan pointed out to Lucky that if he had hit Kristina, his fists would be bloodied. But Lucky just sort of swept that under the carpet, like evidence doesn’t really matter with the PCPD.
Does Ronnie work for the PCPD now? Why else would he be hanging around and interrogating Johnny? Then Lucky shows up and asks to talk to him, like he’s a part of the gang. Of course, that was more plot point, to have Johnny go in and talk to Ethan.
I love that Johnny believed Ethan didn’t do it. And had the stones to go over to Jason’s to tell him he that he thought Ethan was innocent. Johnny is also the one who pointed out that this isn’t the first time that Kristina has lied, since she also was responsible for Claudia’s accident. I think Ethan may owe him his life.
It was good to see Sam come clean with Alexis about the birth control and Kristina being sexually active. I just wish that scene would have happened a few months ago. And Sam should have finished that conversation by pointing out that she thinks Keifer is a little off, so that whenever the truth comes out, no one is shocked at the possibility.
Color me shocked that Keifer actually returned to the scene of the crime. Was he looking to find Kristina on the floor? And was it just me, or did he seem a little bit angry when Molly told him Kristina had pointed the finger at Ethan? It's almost like he doesn’t want another man to be given credit for his handywork.
I loved the Alexis/Tracy scene – Alexis ready to rip a strip off of someone and Tracy defending Ethan.
Also loved the Dante/Kristina scene. I’ve been waiting for those two to have one since the truth came out about Dante, and it didn’t disappoint. Dante was so gentle and sweet with her.
Line of the day:
Dante to Kristina: “I think you’re as gorgeous as ever. It’s what was done to you that was ugly.”
I hated the final Sonny/Kristina scene – Kristina, battered, sleeping in the hospital and Sonny, slobbering all over her, making it all about him.

Just to repeat the question I posted on the previous GH thread:
I don't get WHY Kristina is identifying Ethan as her attacker. But I do agree that it looks like she is doing it to punish him for jilting her. There havent introduced a reason for it other than that yet (unlike the story of Marty Saybrook on OLTL where she also misidentified her attacker)
I can appreciate the performances but how will the character of Kristina be salvageable in the future. As someone else said, this is the second time she's making someone innocent take the blame for a guilty party.

I freaking FLOVE Johnny, and his scenes with Jason were so good.
I was so hoping that there was a good reason for Krissy naming Ethan but once she had her flashback I knew she wasn't just shocked she put the blame on an innocent man. That was malicious and completely takes away from her being a victim.
I liked this Sam (there I said it call the presses) but that will change when she attacks Ethan because I don't like mix messages

Kristina is probably blaming Ethan because he hurt her feelings when he rejected her!! Before the attack, she told Molly that Ethan was "way hotter than Keifer," which means that she was probably on the verge of dumping Keifer already. So, her decision to blame Ethan probably had very little to do with Keifer.
The character already lied about Claudia's accident and got LESS than a slap on the wrist for that. Sonny Corinthos AND HIS KIDS seem to get free passes in this town to do as they please. First Michael, then Kristina........Morgan and Dante could probably kill everyone in town and they'd just bring on new characters and pretend like it never happened.

Lucky (yeah him), told Ethan that he was under arrest because ALL the evidence pointed to him.
WHAT EVIDENCE!?!?
did they check his hands for obvious signs of bruising, even gloves leave marks, sratches, etc! did they do a full sweep of her house?
the only thing between a known criminal and the interogation room is a coffee table!?

I didnt think Sonny was making it about himself at all. He was saying how it breaks his heart that someone did this to her and that he understands how she must have felt because he's been there. Thats called relating to someone. And I know when I'm going through something (never been through abuse luckily) that having someone who can relate helps more than anything else.
Now you want to talk about someone who did make it all about themself.....how about Sam? Kristina is nothing like her. She isn't following in Sam's footsteps. Maybe if Sam wasnt so self-involved she'd see that and I don't know maybe let Kristinas's mother handle it. Instead she tries to act like Kristina is her daughter. Its pathetic and a little creepy.

Sonny, again, tells Jason to kill someone TONIGHT w/o evidence or thinking it through. How many people in this town would be dead if Sonny killed them all when he wanted to? There wouldn't be anybody left.
Then again, Sonny can do no wrong and get's away w/ pointing a gun at an unarmed man while out on bail for murder in front of 2 cops. That's why I never invested in the Claudia murder trial because we know Sonny will walk away clean.

I was talking to my mother while watching this today. Alstonboy you stated exactly what I was thinking. The whole family is filled with murderers, with the exception being the kids raised by "bad" Jax and "bad" Rick. Sonny's children can maim and murder at will, but woe to those who touch his sainted family.

Pspencer618--- I am glad you agree with me, however I don't think I can say anything even REMOTELY positive about the character of Jax (other than the fact that he has nice eyes and a nice smile). I HAAATTTEEEE Jax with a PASSION!!! I have always said that Brenda needs to come back to town so that they can ride off into the sunset together. I stopped caring about him a long time ago. Despite my comments, I am still a HUGE Sonny fan. I hope my comments don't portray me as a hypocrite.

I don't get why Lucky didn't look at Ethan's hands either even when Ethan pointed it out. STUPID. Why not make the PCPD look even dumber than they are. Kristina is a spoiled brat, like Michael, and the two of them are loose cannons. You have indulgent Carly and over protective Alexis and a murderer for a father -enough said. Now if all this was done so that all three of these people opened there eyes to see what they're doing to their children it might actually be worthwhile. Sonny goes around with his gun wanting to kill people and yet no one cares. What I wish Sonny would do with his gun is shoot Helena, she is getting so old with this same crap. Love Dante with Kristina. DZ has chemistry with everyone but I too wish they had gotten together before this.

How are we supposed to feel sorry for Kristina when she's being portrayed as a spoiled rotten selfish lying bitch? The only one I feel sorry for is Ethan! Way to go GH writers.

Perkie, Keifer didn't look angry to me at Molly's news. He looked shocked. And he kept his hands in his coat pockets the entire time so we couldn't see if they were bruised or not. And is Molly home alone when her sister was just attacked in their living room?
I thought it was odd that Lucky didn't even look at Ethan's hands. Isn't he supposed to be one of the smart cops now?
I thought the Dante/Kristina scene and the Sonny/Kristina scene were well done.
I found the Helena and Liz/Nik scenes just plain boring. I had already guessed what Helena was going to do. Wasn't it obvious? The only thing is that Nik had Lisa send the test out to a separate lab as well which Helena doesn't know and we haven't seen those results yet. They're going to say Lucky is the father and then I'm guessing Nik is going to go along with Helena's lie because he wants Liz even though she doesn't want him. BORING!!!

I really wanted to feel sorry for Kristina today but every time she opened her mouth and blamed an innocent man for what that punk Kiefer did to her, I just could not feel sorry for her. I just kept thinking, "you little lying brat". The only person I felt sorry for was Ethan.
Is Kristina just going to get a pass for falsely accusing Ethan of brutally beating her, like she got away with running Claudia off the road?!

FFIT, weren't Krissy's bruises on her right? I thought her right eye was swollen shut? Wouldn't that make him a righty? I'm confused...
Whhhhhyyyy are they making Krissy lie about something so serious? I swear the girl has no conscience and is going to get Ethan killed if she doesn't start telling the truth soon. She knows what her dad is capable of. Again, I am pissed as hell at all the adults on the show. Knowing that Krissy has lied about serious things, they just believe her without doing any investigating and almost kill Ethan. I can't believe Johnny is the only one making any sense. I love Johnny. And he barely knows Ethan, meanwhile Lucky who's supposed to have the instincts of a cop dismisses his own brother's claims. Ethan's family doesn't believe him while Krissy's family believes every word out of her lying mouth. Nice. I wish Sonny had shot Ethan (but not killed him) and he was in critical condition so that Krissy would feel like crap and confess to lying and everyone would see what a lying biatch she can be. Then all the adults could feel like crap for blaming and shooting an innocent man when they had no hard evidence to do so. Just the word of a 16 year old liar. How could she put someone's life in danger like that, knowing full well that Keifer did this to her and if it wasn't for Ethan, she'd still be lying there on her living room floor. She's not even showing any guilt or remorse or struggling with blaming the wrong person. She's so matter of fact about it that it's so hard to feel sorry for her. Instead, she's worried about what her face looks like. What about what Ethan's face will look like when he gets beat for her lies. I felt so bad for her up until she blamed Ethan out of spite. It'd be different if she was just confused and really thought it was him, but she is having flashbacks clearly seeing Keifer's face. I hate this story. I hate how the writers feel justified in taking away any sympathy for Kristina by making her a liar. What happened to her is disgusting and serious. She deserves everyone's sympathy, but leave it to GH to make sure she doesn't get it all. And I can't believe Keifer actually had the nerve to go back to her house. I can't wait til the truth comes out and that abusive little prick gets what's coming to him. Like another poster said, I hope this storyline wakes up everyone and they realize how messed up Kristina really is, and how messed up it is to take matters (and other people's lives) into their own hands without giving them a chance to clear their name.
