I would like this story more and feel sympathetic if she hadn't blamed Ethan.

This just makes her a liar.

I agree, she should have just said that she didn't know who it was, this does make her look like a liar, Ethan doesn't deserve that.

Leave it to Fruza to turn a victim into an unsympathetic character.  Bad Fruza!

Makes sense that she would balme Ethan. I mean she let her brother take the blame for running Claudia off the road and killing there unborn brother. She only feshed up how much later? It's a patern for her, these big lies. She's one messed up teen.

I agree, I don't like that she is blaming Ethan.  I too hope it isn't long before it comes out that Kiefer is the one who really did it.  He has had it coming for a long time now.

In this day and age and all the information out there, why lie about the attacker.  I would have rather have her tell the truth and try to see Keifer worm his way out of it with his rich parents not believing Kristina.  I don't like someone innocent being blamed for something so horrendous.  Lazy writing if you ask me.

i feel so bad for her but she should have not said it was ethan she should have said kiefer or be quiet dont say ethan after he brought u to the hospital WOW. how funny that sam was talking about ethan accusing him when she didnt know the facts and she didnt even go to see kristina after and of course ethan found her so the accusation and semi add up WELL NO because while the terrible beating happened ethan was talking to sam and now sonny will go after ethan causing a rift between luke and sonny what annoys me is molly these GH kids r in everones businese they know too much and i  cant belive michael confeesed infront of the kids so stupid but kristina left kiefer and had courage and ignored him untill molly opened the door and said was home inviting him to say im sorry again and into her life. molly is talking about love and the heart but if she listened to her sister she should have respected her wishes left it alone and never ansered the door or say kristinas not home its me and my mom.

I really liked Ethan and Kristina but this is too much for me to support them.

I just hope she does not lie about this for as long as she kept the truth about her driving the car that hit her step mom and killing her unborn sibling.

  1. it is common for the victim to throw someone else under the bus to protect their abuser. Especially, becaus they loooooove them.(gag me with a spoon.)
  2. Kristina has already been peoven to lie in dire situations.
  3. Look at the examples the adults in her life set. her mom covering for her. sonny covering for michael.

this s/l is completly believable.

Your explanation makes sense. People don't understand the mindset that someone being abused is in. Their natural reaction would be to lie about it because they're fearful of what might happen to them if the truth comes out. I totally understand this.

Oh and GH's make up department did a helluva job on that girl. It looks like someone really did beat the sh*t out of her. It's pretty brutal.

Kristina is a spoiled brat who is used to lying and getting her own way.  I knew she would blame Ethan out of revenge.  The girl has no conscious and her mother is totally at fault.  Perhaps if she had been punished for stealing the nanny's car, causing a car accident which killed her step brother or sister, blaming her brother for the accident, running away to Mexico and then letting her mother take the blame and the punishment for her crimes, she might have learned a lesson about lying.  But instead her mother showed her that lying was ok to do.  So she lied to Keifer about breaking their date but went out in the dress he bought for her.  She had Molly commit a crime by breaking in to 2 people's email accounts.  Then she had Molly lie to their mother for her.  So what's another lie?  Who cares if your father is a mobster and the lie could get the wrong person killed?  This girl did not deserve to be beaten by that creep Kiefer and hopefully Keifer will be properly punished when the truth comes out but it is really hard to feel sorry for someone who may be responsible for yet another innocent persons death!

As difficult as this storyline is gonna be to watch, considering the fact that it is basically a slap in the face to many abused women, I can completely understand why the writers are doing it.

This is a GREAT umbrella story---not perfect, but great!! It pits the Corinthos family against the Spencers:

Luke vs. Sonny
Lulu vs. Dante
Alexis vs. Luke
Lucky vs. Sonny

Also, it might possible get Jane Elliott (whom I LOVE) more airtime!! Unfortunately, it's gonna get Sam (who I am starting to LOATHE) more airtime as well!!Oh well, you take the good with the bad, I guess!!!

I never understood why Michael wasn't even a little mad at Kristina for letting him believe that he killed Claudia's baby, i get that he's all about family and loyalty but still. HE felt terrible and confessed while she couldn't care less. Now the Police believe that Michael just likes confessing things he didn't do.

They storyline is getting off to a great start. The acting from Lexi and co and the writing has been good. The only negative is that stupid promo.

I don't agree that it is a slap in the face to abused women.  The storyline is excellent and the scenes today were actually were tasteful and extremely powerful.  However like you wrote I also understand why they are doing it.  It is great soap, pure and simple.  Is it making Kristina look less sympathetic maybe but still think that the majority of viewers still sympathize wth her and I think we all know that in the end the truth will come out and everyone will get what they deserve.

Great job GH, this storyline is simpy amazing and the acting has been top notch.

I hate this s/l. My biggest pet peeve is when people are blamed for things they didn't do (current best example: Kish getting blamed for OLTL's low ratings).

I realize there is another GH storyline that has someone getting the blame for something they didn't do, but I'm ok with that one. Sonny is taking the blame for something he didn't do (killing Claudia), but since that whole situation was mostly his fault, it doesn't hit my peeve button. This abuse storyline, however, is just awful. I agree with the previous posters who say that this would have been an excellent storyline without this plot point.

As for it being a great "umbrella" storyline, I agree that may be the goal with this, but don't we already have enough of those? I was really looking forward to seeing these young kids act the heck out of this, but now I will have to look away during these scenes. So disappointing!

Troymcclure----

Perhaps I didn't articulate myself properly. I agree that the story of her being abused is being written well, but the character of Kristina lost A LOT of her credibility the moment she lied about Ethan attacking her. Regardless of what her reasoning is---feeling like he rejected her or wanting to protect Kiefer----when a woman lies about something that is such a hot-button topic, or tries to use the fact that she was abused to hurt someone else, her behavior becomes disgraceful. That's just my opinion.

With that being said, I agree that this story has the potential to be a great umbrella story, and the acting is wonderful by everyone involved.

alstonboy, I'm sure you articulated it well.  I had just been on the boards where loads of people were saying how Kristina deserves what she is getting so I think I brought some of that in to my reply to you which was unfair.

All I can hope is that they will give a good explanation for what is going on.  If Kristina is doing it out of spite then I'm sorely dissapointed but my personal opinion is that she truly blames herself for what happened and her slly infatuation with Ethan and she wan'ts to protect Kiefer (why I don't know but lord knows this happens in real life9

It's such a hot button issue, I hope they won't let me down but who knows?  I'm gonna feel really bad for Ethan though.  Today the show is set it up really well, even I thought for a second he did it.

Bullet one is my only sticking point - Yes a majority of abuse victims will never name their abuser because  of hte lover they feel for them or because they feel like they deserved what happened to them.  But how many name someone just because, I've worked with abuse victims and most will just say "They can't remember" or "an intruder"

If the writers made Krissy not name a attacker and some people blamed Ethan because of the scratches and others thought Keifer I think it would have maintained Krissy's sympathy and it would still have pitted families into this umbrella story some have mentioned

Krissy will suffer from short term memory loss   Alexis asked her who hurt her and she said Ethan, to her meaning Ethan hurt her heart.    And thats the last thing she remembers.  When she sees Keifer she will remember who beat her ass.

I HOPE!!
