DC #526: Performer of the Week

I only REALLY watch AMC, GH and Y&R (with some ATWT sprinkled in there occasionally), but here are my picks:

HONORABLE MENTIONS:
 
AMC's Rebecca Budig----she continues to make up for lost time by making Greenlee the best bitch she can be!!! This character had lost her sassiness and diva qualities, but THE REAL GREENLEE is finally back!! Now, they just need to bring back Kendall!!!

Y&R's Eric Braeden----aside from slapping the sh** out of Adam (which alone would have merited an honorable mention) he also gave one of the most kick ass performance I have seen from him since Sabrina's death!!!!!!
 
Y&R's Eileen Davidson-----WONDERFULLY gripping and emotionally-charged performances last week!!! Y&R is probably kicking themselves for not pre-nominating this woman for an Emmy!!!!

GH's Lexi Ainsworth-----do I really need to explain WHY???? I do not like where her abuse storyline is heading---with her blaming Ethan----but I do agree she is giving a wonderful performance!!!
 
GH's Christian Alexander----again, no explanation needed!! It's not easy playing a character who abuses a female on soaps, and the male actors who portray these characters rarely get the critical acclaim they deserve.

GH--That lawyer chick on---Yeah, I don't like her, and I STILL wish she would fall down an elevator shaft, but the actress---Dahlia Salem---is obviously doing a good job, otherwise I wouldn't be quite as annoyed at the character!!!

DISHONORABLE MENTION:
 
AMC's writers-----Yes, the show has improved, but why are they writing the character of JR as such a wimpy, whiny CRYBABY???? Aside from calling Annie a bitch once this week, this character seems to have completely lost every ounce of testosterone that has ever coursed through his body. Yes, I get it, he has cancer, but why can't they manage to keep JR's strength and virility, instead of turning him into a------(whatever he is now)???????
 
Brian Frons and all applicable OLTL executives who ended the "Kish" storyline------ Can you say "cowards"???? The ABC daytime executives can end THIS storyline, but where were they when Charles Pratt was DRAGGING AMC into the ground for TWO years??? Why did it take them so long to fire him??? Or where were they when GH was firing/killing off all of those beloved characters over the past ten years??? Alan, AJ, Tony, Courtney, Zander, Emily???? Why didn't they jump in then to stop THAT madness????? They only jump in to cause MORE trouble, not to right injustices or actually make moves that HELP soaps!!!!
 
All the actors who I have deemed BAD ACTORS in the past CONTINUED to live up to their titles, so I will not keep beating those dead horses!!! I will simply say that certain actors need to be REPLACED, and that Judy Blye Wilson still needs to RETIRE!!!!!

POW: Eileen Davidson...she was FANTASTIC this past week! 

Here is something interesting starting next year they are going to start counting online viewing but it's going to suck because their has to be an equal amount of commercials that networks have, no one going to sit and watch commercials, I will continue to use my beloved DVR. They do count DVR and TIVO but it has to be watched with in 24 hrs. So I suggest people that have that to start recording ATWT even if you have watched it and to save the other soaps. Thought I'd post it hear too. They won't pyre my DVR out of my cold dead hands.

POW: Mostly every actor on Y&R that was in the cabin. Especially Eileen Davidson and Michael Muhney. I say mostly because my dishonorable mention goes to...

Joshua Morrow. I'm sorry, but in the cabin scenes he was sticking out like a sore thumb. Well, Vail Bloom and Yani Gellman weren't too great either. It's amazing how easily you can pick out the not-too-great actors when they're in scenes with multiple amazing talents.

I only watch ABC Soaps, (watched them for nearly 35 years) so I can only comment on ABC.

Sometimes I wish there were two Podcasts for POW mainly because I can't relate to the other soaps.

But here are my pics for now ( I say now because sometimes I change my mind)

Jacob Young (JR - AMC) his acting has been spot on. I end up feeling sorry for him and feeling so bad. His only weakness is that counter of a wife. I am sorry I cannot get into her. Bring Alexa back get rid of this chick please.

A close 2nd Annie Chandlor's lips...It is just funny to see how her lips grow and grow and grow when Brooke is around.

Mike, have always been a big supporter of ATWT, not to sure about the new faith too. I would love to see Lisa in a romance and even get married again for the 9th time. I'm enjoying it more now that the Mick storyline is over. And I like Daniel Cogrove Chris Hughes. Like seeing Barbra and Lisa used more. Great to have Nancy back too when Juliane Moore returns. Maybe their finally listing to fans, bring back more vets.

POW: Robin Strasser: Not much stuck out for me this week, but I loved Dorian's conversation telling Viki what a great man Charlie is and that she *has* to take him back.
HM's: Amanda Setton: She kickicked butt at the wedding, Cady McClain: This one is biased, but I love her so I have to give her Honourable Mention one last time.
DM: Molly Burrnett: Seriously dear, just stop.
