Scott Clifton "Open" to Reprising Dillon on General Hospital!
By Jamey Giddens on March 09, 2010

Take heart General Hospital lovers. In the wake of his being released from One Life to Live, your boy Scott Clifton has tweeted that he would be up for reprising the role of quirky, aspiring filmmaker Dillon Quartermaine!

So, a lot of questions about returning to GH as "Dillon". I honestly think that's up to them, but I'd be open to it. They're like family.

Good idea!! Would love to see him mixing it up with Ethan on GH!!! Since OLTL doesn't seem to know a good thing when they see it!! Such a shame!!! It's lame casting decisions like this that make it hard for me to sympathize with OLTL's plight, or the fact that they have such low ratings!!!!

I wouldnt mind if SC went back to GH ... as long as he has a job I will be happy !
I hope GH asks him to come back
IF not then maybe DOOL or BATB or AMC can find use for him

I'd take Dillon over Spinelli any day.
If I can't have Lucky/Maxie, then I'd gladly take Maxie/Dillon.

SC to GH... Dillon comes back and bounce a rejected Lisa his way... she now has a strapping young buck and Dillon works on a documentary about Port Charles, funded by Jax (which pisses off Edward).

I totally agree! It seems like just when OLTL finds a groove for new characters like Sky, Rachel and Kim, they either lose the talent or just plain throw it away. And it's sad that they gave Jessica this goofy high school SL. Does anyone recognize just how sick this woman really is?
When the cancellation notice comes down on OLTL, and it will, it will sadden me but certainly not surprise me. This show is just treading water until it finally gets pulled under like a certain stripper turned ghost! Carlivati and Valentini claim to love this show, but their love often seems more like Münchausen syndrome by proxy...

If he can bring Georgie back with him that would be great.
I dont care how its done, call Tabitha from the late 'Passions' and have her do some voodoo magic to bring her back. I don't care. Just bring her back!

"open to returning to GH" is code for "No one has called & I'm desperate for work!"
that's exactly how it is.

I do want him to come back as Dillon , and than I want Ned to come back, I want to see Tracy give love for her boys like she does Luke's kids.....
I want Dillon to come back and be Michael's cousin , to have more Q's connection to Michael and Jason..
I also like to add that Scott Steve and Drew look really like family.. ..

Please, we all know he'll be on Y&R as the new Noah by summer.

I don't think that GH will make the offer, and even if they did I don't think it would be to Scott's advantage to take the role again. For all of Guza's lip service about how there's a hole in his "heart" where the Qs used to be, the fact remains that he's the one responsible for marginalizing them and killing most of them off. Scott would be better off going to a show where he would actually be appreciated.

I too prefer Dillon over Spinelli. Spinelli has always, always been the 'poor man's Dillon' to me. Which only pisses me off more because he and Jason are best friends and when Dillon was on the canvas I always thought that they could explore a lot between the two cousins, but they rarely did and that was unfortunate.
Though Spinelli did get massive points for calling Dillon almost incestuous one. That was fun. Pity then went and ruined his character at the altar of Lulu.

How true! But, still, better than SC going back to GH. They didn't do all that much with him the first time around. What would he do anyway? Help create a Lulu-Dillion-Dante triangle? I'm bored just typing it!

At the risk of sticking my nose into another group's "argument",---which I try to avoid doing on this website---- I don't really see any relevance between comparing GH's Dillon to GH's Spinelli!! The characters were VASTLY different, so it's kinda like comparing oranges to melons in my opinion!! Furthermore, aside from both being comedically talented, Bradford Anderson and Scott Clifton are totally different actors with their own quirks and idiosyncrasies!!!
With that being said, I don't think that GH needs any more 20-something male actors, or any more male characters under the age of 30!! We have Lucky, Ethan, Spinelli, that doctor guy (keep forgetting his name!!!), Morgan, Michael, Johnny and Dominic (whom I assume are both under 30!)....
There seems to be an overabundance of testosterone in Port Charles, so I don't see the need of adding Dillon to the mix.
I agree that he should go over to Y&R, but only if they can make him into a male version of Chloe and use Scott Clifton's comedic talents to make him into an interesting character.
If he does go on as Noah, I hope they give the character a sense of humor and a BRAIN.....and have him play something other than the male whore of Genoa City!! We already have Billy Miller......

I'm all for SOAR, but for him to be playing Noah on Y&R is a HUGE stretch.

No more of a stretch than Abby growing up so fast. Actually Clifton would be a good Noah -- and he'd have that chin scruff just like his old man Nick, LOL!

But Abby's parents look old enough to be her parents. Scott Clfiton looks like the younger brother of Joshua Morrow...doesn't work.

tml: I agree. I'm just going by the logic that Y&R is using in casting these days. Stephen Nichols, Eden Riegel and Marcy Rylan were cast because they are talents known to the soap audience, not neccesarily because they are appropriate for the role. Scott Clifton falls into this category with two soaps under his belt. I'm just sayin' I won't be surprised when I read the news here on DC.

yeah, true
wouldn't it be nice if these actors could just find great, appropriate roles instead of these shows trying to force a character to grow up before it's time? I mean, not everyone needs to be related to each other....

I think those days are over. It is now a matter of survival over story and substance for the soaps. And I think these hirings are dictated by CBS and Sony in order to "save the show." After all, MAB had not yet recast the whole show with actors from ABC's old TGIF schedule, which I think was her original intent, LOL!
