Why isn't he on contract yet?

Yeah, he should've been on contract months ago. I think him and Brett Claywell are one of the most believable couples on daytime and I'd hate to see him go the way of Amanda Setton

Maybe he doesn't want a contract and prefers recurring? Doesn't Cady McClain usually work as recurring?

THERE IS A SOAP GOD...
my heart skipped a few beats when i read Scott's first tweet but was greatly relieved when he clarified it later......I adore kish and life just wouldnt be the same without them.;;;;
.....
I hope ABC realizes how important Scott is to the fans and offers him that contract if that is what he wants.....he and Brett Claywell are the best reasons for watching the show and they would be crazy to let him get away......

Come on People! He tested for a pilot on CBS. If it is picked-up, he is bouncing.
And why shouldn't he, he knows the days are numbered for OLTL. no matter how much the DC crew drinks the kool-aid.
He is a hot breakout star of that show and why would he waist his talents on a soap that is rumored to get the ax next.

He Only Tested For A Pilot he Hasnt Booked The role yet

The pilot is the reason for the "it's not really in my hands", he means he can't control whether or not it's picked up or if he'll get the role, lots of shows recast after the pilot is picked up.

I hope OLTL doesn't give him the boot!
