The whole "Cane deportation" thing is stupid beyond belief.  It doesn't matter whose social security number he used on the license, he married her using his own real name of Ethan Cane Ashby.  Regardless of what's on the certificate NO ONE is disputing the fact that he is married to an American woman using his given name.  He may have tried to pass himself off as Phillip Chancellor but he married Lily under his real name and has been wed to her for awhile now.  He could simply say there is an error in SS numbers on the form and that would be that!  It doesn't matter whether he calls himself Cane Ashby, Phillip Chancellor, John Abbott, or Dora the Explorer he is married to an American...end of the story!

Do you know if Michael Muhney is getting canned?  He keeps hinting at it on twitter, and says he has breaking news coming up.  Then there is that campaign to keep him on Y&R.  Is the writing on the wall and I have just missed it??

ZZZZZZZZ....boring.   The whole Cane/deportation plotline is a bust(and did you catch those jail(?) scenes earlier in the week between Billy and Cane? Seems Daniel Goddard was trying to catch up with Billy Miller, mugging and throwing his hands all over the place...it was painful).  I wish they'd write Cane and Lily off.  And poor Lauren; I mean how many people are gonna continue to be snowed by a wannabe bitch who can't act?  Frankly, I wish someone would kill that little twit(and her spineless--though hot--brother Ryder too).  At least the Adam plotline looks to wrapping up but looks like Ashley is gonna flip a script again.  Yay--more bad, overripe acting.

The character of Cane Ashby has become nothing more than a "babysitter" to Lily, coddling her constantly and playing "doting husband"!!! BORING!!! YAWN!!! Wake me when it's over. I am NOT emotionally invested in this storyline, so maybe they SHOULD deport Cane. Then they can bring back DRUCILLA (played by Vicki Rowell), RECAST the character of Lily (if Christel can't play nice with Victoria!!) and restructure the Winters family. Maybe they can bring back Nate (Olivia's son) and start writing decent stories for the BLACK characters on the canvas again!!!

Furthermore, since they went through all that time and energy to cast Darius McCrary as Malcolm, and since they "claim" that his audition tape was one of the best they had seen in 20 years (a claim that I SERIOUSLY question!!!) why not give him a REAL storyline?????

Darius has not been given anything to do. The writers need to give him a strong week to show off what he's got.

The___Moustache, I agree!!! All of the shallow comparisons that I have seen on this website between Shemar Moore and Darius McCrary's physical appearances are absolutely DISGUSTING, not to mention RUDE, TASTELESS and UNNECESSARY!!
 
I am sure that there are MANY people who don't think that Shemar Moore is the FINEST male specimen to ever walk the face of the Earth..........and the same could be said about the other "male gods" in daytime such as Brandon Beemer, Galen Gerig, James Scott and all these other "HUNKS". Besides, if we saw some of these men on the street, our jaws would probably drop from astonishment. The right makeup, lighting and costuming can do a LOT people......let's not forget that!!!

However, we do live in a SHALLOW society, and I have learned to accept that!!!

As far as McCrary's acting talents, the writers haven't given him anything to sink his teeth into, dramatically or comedically!! I do think he has good comedic instincts based on the little that I have seen so far. I have seen his work in movies, like "Kingdom Come" and been fairly pleased. Time will tell whether he is a good recast or not, but I am not willing to just arbitrarily throw someone away or label them as a "bad actor" based on a handful of appearances.

We shall see, and a few people may end up eating their own words in a few months.

The whole Daisy chain is really starting to be a drag and it has been going on for too long now (all the way back to Daniel and the painting). Like I said earlier; Daisy can't be that talented and able to carry out all she has so far without anyone wondering about her a bit more than they have. Since Paul is such a purported super sleuth then I hope he gets with it soon and exposes that group and (unfortunately for him) Patty right smartly.

The whole Cane and your INS gambit kind of looked fishy right from the start. I wonder what that really is all about?

I hope that Jill's childish revenge on Kay this week is just temporary. I'd like to see those two back on friendly soil together and happy again. The two of them could be a dynamic team but they always waste the opportunities with their petty jealousy and bitterness.

You guys were right about why Jack and Victor would work together again. But why was Adam limping around this week? Maybe something happened to him while he was away "visiting his mother's grave in Kansas"?

The Darius McCrary comments this week above are finally sensible and apropo! I also like the Billy Miller comments.

I do hope we get some exciting action and completions done here soon.

Huge loss if Michael Muhney is leaving. Not his fault for how the character and surrounding stories were set up or executed. Funny how everyone whines even when they get their wishes: Heather recast, return of Malcolm character, Billy and Mac breakup, Nicki and Victor back, Karen/Tyra Neil breakup, original Philip gone, Tucker recast, Eden gone, and now Adam getting his - LOTS has gone your way of late!

I've gotta agree about Cane. I wanted to poke my f'ing eyes out watching him click-clack his teeth and wink . What an idiot. They can get rid of both him and Lily and bring her back later on.  Since they don't seem to have the sense to write for their black characters, maybe they should recast Nate and bring back Olivia.

As much as I don't like Cane I have to give MAB and them credit.  This story makes sense about him getting deported. 

I saw Michael Muhney's tweet earlier about breaking news he will post on Tuesday.  I think it is either he's leaving the show or he's staying.   I guess we will find out then.

Am I the only one amused that Daisy is drugging Lauren with Ecstacy...LOL!

I not dogging Darius on looks, but the recast choice the show have chosen him to play Malcolm was a bit jarring to me because he is too young to play Malcolm.  I could of buy him as Nate jr, but not Malcolm and I do agree that dissing him on looks is not ok by me.  Y&R has been a bust on FEb sweeps and again MAB and Co. needs to be fired, STAT.

Thanks for the posts on Michael Muhney.  My take on that video is him seeing the walls closing in on him from all angles.  I personally am hoping for total resolution of that storyline, and the return of Faith to her real parents. I don't want to see her identity left as a "misnomer" going on until Faith grows up.  I really hope the writers don't go in that direction.  I didn't realize that John Abbott didn't realize that Ashley wasn't his, I guess I missed that part of the s/l.
I have to agree with Ken concerning the deportation s/l.  You made a very good arguement based on fact.  Too bad the writers wouldn't research these things a bit better before they start writing these s/ls, and they'd have come to the same conclusions.  Are they trying to get rid of these two characters?  I know Chrystal Khalil is going to have a baby, and that won't mesh in with how her s/l is now written.  A bit difficult to get preggers when all your reproductive organs have been removed.  So, maybe they're going to write these two out for now.  Just my speculation.  
I too am wondering about why Adam is limping around.  I guess it'll bring us back next week, wondering how (and if) he'll get away with his crimes.  
As for the Daisy s/l, I can't figure out how Lauren can't realize she's having her water spiked.  She gets stoned as anything, then comes to her senses, then gets suddenly stoned again.  She's too smart a character to fall for this.  As she said to Ryder months ago, "You don't have a clue what I've been through".  Its why she had such bad instincts about Ryder.  And while we're asking where is her BFF Phyllis?  Phyllis is sticking her nose into the Sharon baby thing (again I hope I'm wrong that she's the one who figures the whole thing out, but think that's why she's injected into that s/l): however Phyllis should be  helping out Lauren, perhaps figuring out the poisoning, and even that Jana didn't leave of her own will.   JMHO

As soon as MAB had him head up several major companies and appear on magazine covers, the story could never make any sense.

Agree with Goldgirl, Lauren is way too smart for this mess and Phyllis should be there helping her out.  That said, I am enjoying Phyllis sticking it to Adam and poor pitiful Sharon---I know she has her detractors, but I could watch Michelle Stafford all day and be more than content; she's that good.  Of course, poor thing will probably end up alone once Nick saves Sharon for the MILLIONTH time.  Who knows, maybe she'll hook up with Michael again since that crazy b---- Daisy is obvs going to clue Michael in somehow to the Lauren/Paul kiss, which will prob send him in search for "comfort".  Do we know if the "actress" who plays Daisy is on contract and, if she is, what can we do to get Y&R to excercise that  "out" clause they put in all they're paperwork?  It's time she rode off into the sunset; maybe she can take Cane, Lily, Amber, Daniel, Abby, Gloria, and Gary Ewing along with her. 

I hope you're right, Goldgirl, about Cane and Lily.   I've grown so tired of these characters, and that would be the perfect out for them to take a vacation.  I want Lily to stay because she's part of a core family, but Cane can take a hike! Eh, we're stuck with him, I guess.

I'm thinking that Adam is toast. I heard Jack say that he found out Adam did anything to hurt either Ashley or Sharon he would kill him.  I'm thinking we will hear those words again very soon from a few other people.

That's why I don't watch this show that often anymore. I really only watch it to see Stefan.

Why must Jack team up with Victor? That man took his family's company.  Jack should turn Victor down and let him deal with his own problems. I know Victor will use Ashley to get Jack to help him.   I hate Victor.  Let Adam help jack get his company back first.

Why can't Lauren memory get lost and she thinks she's with Paul again? I would love to see them together.

And PLEASE PLEASE get Diane back on this show. I know the actress is on Vampire Dairies but she's isn't a star and isn't shown all the time.  Please get her back on so I can see more Diane v Phyllis. That was the highlight of the week.

They tried Lauren and Paul again in early 2004 and it went nowhere. They didn't have the same spark as a romantic pairing as they did in the 80s. That was just before they put Lauren and Michael together and they became a popular pairing right away.  I think Lauren and Paul work as friends but no longer lovers. 

This plot between Lauren and Paul is very contrived.  No way would Lauren come on to him given how solid her marriage has been for years.  Sure you have to add drama for married couples but drugging an otherwise happily married woman just so you can have her possibly betray her husband is cheap writing.  Lauren and Paul have barely had any scenes in the last couple years so this comes out of left field. 

I feel for Ashley because she has been so tortured and victimized by Adam, but I hope she doesn't run with Faith if she finds out she is Sharon's.

I am sorry this Cane/Lily story is a snooze.  They have three stories going (cancer, surrogate, deportation) and not one of them hold my interest.  I know I should feel for this couple, but for whatever reason I don't.  Maybe this whole thing is to facilitate CK's maternity leave because I don't think I can handle yet more story for this couple right now, especially if it involves the cattle mafia.

I read on another website that Monday's show (Canadian viewers) so Tues for American's viewer's is a must see in regards to Sharon baby switcheroo deal so let's see if its true.  Nice to see Sharon stand up for herself finally in Friday's episode (Canadian episode).   I'm also thinking Adam might fake his own death - thereby creating a "murder" mystery for the next few months....if his contract is up in May then that's still a few more months to go and they are speeding up this Adam s/l big time now so there has to be more of it for the next 2 months. 

Also i usually just FF through the Daisy s/l b/c its stupid..but can someone please explain to me how on earth this girl goes to school, works all the time at Lauren's store but still manages to sneak around town doing all she does?  Doesn't she sleep???  And how on earth is it that no one notices that she had  vial of something slipped into her belt when she was posioning Lauren at the store (hello..isn't there security cameras in the store??!)  or did she do an intense study of the store layout and know the exact second the camera would pan around so she would not be in the view??   The vial was so obvious.......but like i said i genreally just FF through her parts so maybe it was explained...lol.

And what happened to Malcolm?  All the fuss to bring him back and he's probably had a grand total of 5 lines since he's been back.  Unless they want to pair him up with Big Red when Nick dumps her.  He needs to be alone for a bit...he's slept with Sharon, Big Red...Sharon's best friend..- what was her name again?....he needs to be tested for stds. 

I'm enjoying many aspects of the show so I don't have much to complain about

however it was odd that LiLy was ready to leave Genoa city with no thought to her babies.  When Cane said something about Mac carrying their children a light bulb moment..."Oops forgot about that"

I am sick of Daisy I don't find her cunning, intriguing or smart enough and for Lauren not to realize she's being spiked (especially after her years of being terrorized by Sheila) is a bit odd for me Lauren is a sophisticated lady how this character (who needs an acting coach) can "continue" this this long is weird...Michael is one of the smartest guys on the show...why can't he figure this out. I'm glad he's investigating the "pretty pink pills" that has altered his wife's personality.

Still, I would have realized that this girl is always making my drinks, giving me drinks she was suspicious of her and now "nada"  the storyline is odd.

So Jack is made to look like a dunce again, by teaming up with Victor again after Victor just played him for Jabot?  

Ashely and Jack are close to the Faith reveal right church wrong pew.  I'm beginning to feel bad for Ashely and Sharon its going to be heartbreaking when its figured out what Adam did.

 God, I hate Cane & Lily. What's the appeal with this couple?

I am like the rest of the most of you,  I detest the Cane and Lily storyline,  but think it has to do with the fact that she is pregnant in real life and due in April.  So they are probaly sending them out of country for awhile.  The Mop,  OOPS,  I mean Mac can handle the pregnancy by herself for awhile I think.  The Lauren/Daisy thing is stupid,  but of course what else can you expect from this hack M. Bell.

Oh boy...what's Ash's plan? I seriously hope that it doesn't involve keeping Faith as "her own"...

it's just so wrong on so many levels. And once again, Ashley's competence and mental well-being are thrown under the bus.

As devastating as the news will be...Ashley has Abby to think of also. She has another child and a responsibility to her, after all.
