The Young and the Restless blurred Sharon (Sharon Case) and Ashley's (Eileen Davidson) realities with some dreams on today's episode. Personally, I liked it. It pieced together things that they have been suppressing and tied their storylines together. I've been waiting for Ashley to remember that Adam (Michael Muhney) was at the top of the stairs dressed like Sabrina before she took her fall. How funny was Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) needling Sharon? Highlights and lowlights, the question is,
Did you love or hate today's Y&R?

At first it started off a good episode but when Sharon got that huge pregnant belly while sitting down. It went to hell in the hand basket from then on. They should of had Beyonce's Sweet dreams, Beautiful Nightmare song playing in the background while the writers were at it lol !

I thought today show was excellent. All the performers knocked it out. Particularly Eileen and Sharon

Can you say "contrived nonsense"??? Eileen Davidson must be SOOOOO tired of crying, screaming, histrionics and going "crazy" every five minutes like clockwork!!! I don't understand WHY the producers thought it was so important to subject me to this GARBAGE. A "special" episode such as this should be A.) entertaining B.) well-written and C.) inspiring...........qualities that this episode clearly did NOT have!!! Disappointing!!!!!!!!

and he responded to rumors of him leaving the show:
"Whoa tweeps! Don't count your chickens before they hatch! My typical pilot season? Meet on 30 projects. Test for 3 pilots. Lucky if u get 1."

Style over substance, and not even that stylish! It was an hour of nothing. Why is Sharon wailing screaming NOW when she didn't care after her child's actual death? The worst part was all the forced scenes of a bored looking Nick gazing longingly at Sharon as they browbeat us with the idea that Nick is a saint and is Sharon's soulmate. Am I supposed to forget the way he treated her last year, or that he told her she had killed or nearly killed all of their children?
I'm sick of these pretentious and poorly produced, gimmicky Emmy bait episodes. They drag some stories out, others are over in the blink of an eye, and they hope they can cover it up with lame stunts.

Loved Eileen Davidson. She gave a great performance. This wasn't about histrionics, the episode reflected Ashley's coming to grips with the horror that she experienced last summer.

First, I love Eileen Davidson's new haircut. I knew after weeks of Betty Boop Curls something had to give. Having said that, this "purple cloth" crap has grated on my very last nerve.
Screaming for Faith -"where are youuuuu!". UGH! She's 6 months old! She's not gonna reply!
Sharon & Nick - Soooooo torn on this. It was Sharon and Nick as high schoolers that pulled me into this show, so for that, I feel like I owe them my cheers....but I dunno. I don't care if or when they end up back together, just give the baby to Sharon. Phylis's reaction to that is what I'm most looking forward too.
I didn't mind the Dream/Nightmare episode. Wednesday's are always So/So with Y&R. Loved "The B's" on this day though - Eric and Peter....
I'm giving it 8 out of 10 cups of Crimson Light's Coffee. Graded on the high side, I know, but I added another point b/c there were no Daisy Sightings.
Daisy is my New Sabrina. I just....want....her (The Actress moreso than the Character) GONE!!

I thought it was a stellar episode. Imaginative, scary, thrilling and at times humorous, just like real nightmares. Eileen, Sharon, Michelle and the actress who played Sky were all amazing, as were Peter and Eric.

I agree with Jamey and i love that you didn't mention Joshua Morrow, he was just terrible. Both Sharon Case and Michelle Stafford deserve better than what he's giving!!

It was just a mess. Didn't like it. The acting was good, but the episode was a big YAWN fest for me! I wish I could get that hour back of my life. I could have done without the episode.

I would have liked it if Doc Adam wrote a prescription for Sharon that read, "Your baby is alive."

I absolutely Hated it! I think it proved nothing, it also showed lack of imagination. It proved they had no idea how to end this story line. Eileen can't act. I muted the sound after so many false cries. Sorry but it is MHO.

I guess I am in a minority here. I loved every second of the show. It's a throw back to 1970s soaps when people used to do these surreal nightmare scenes. True, they didn't usually last an entire episode. These two women have stored in their minds things that will bring Adam down. They both have demons that he used to manipulate them and dreams are a great place to work through ones demons. I have had many dreams that were just as surreal and weird as this. As far as acting is concerned, the people in these dreams were figments of these two womens imaginations and not really the characters themselves. We get to see what Victor and Adam and Nick and Phylis represent to the psychy of Sharon and Ashley.
As far as acting is concerned, in a nightmare dreamworld, ones actions and acting choices should be different than what one would give on a daily basis. if Nick seemed stiff, and inadiquate, that is what he has been to sharon in the last few years. She has felt the need to be strong for him and make decisions without talking it over with him. Mostly because she doesnt see him as a strong man. Maybe that is why she is attracted to Adam. Adam is the strong (if evil) Nick. Someone she sees as an equal or even someone who can take on some of the load and help her out.
I think that after Adam is out of the picture, Sharon will look for a strong man who can be there for her. (TUCKER?) As for Ashley, the girl genuinely needs some psychiatric help. Maybe she gets a chemical imbalance when she gets pregnant.
Thanks Y&R for thinking outside the box and giving us an occasional episode that isn't just the same ole same ole.... Reminds me of late great soaps such as Santa Barbara. and Another World.

I liked the first 45 minutes, but started to drag. I think these one offs are good every now and then. I only wish Sharon had remembered the note Adam wrote her. That would have been a good reveal, but I know they are saving it. Anyway, Phyllis was the best part. Thought SC and ED did a great job.

I guess I'm in the minority because I loved it! It kept me rivited the entire hour. I just hope Ashley remembers Adam in Sabrina's dress when she wakes up. And yes, the acting all around was fantastic!

Honestly it reminded me of watching a Inside the Light eppy of Guiding Light. I think it moved story somewhat, but for none of these women to ry to piece together the the dreams to real life is not cutting it with me.
I thought both were on the top of their game though. It was really good acting.

I thought it was an absolute disgusting story line. Of course Y and R has lost so much of its dignity anyhow. The writers we have now have to be relatives or working for near nothing or they could not possible be writing for what was once a fabulous show. Poor Bill Bell, he must be rolling over in his grave with these sad excuses for story lines they are putting out. He would never have authorized anything this poorly written. What a shame to let such a good show go so far down hill.
