Betty White "ThisClose" to Hosting SNL
By Luke Kerr on February 22, 2010

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello is reporting Saturday Night Live is "thisclose" to landing Betty White as host, but with a catch.
White would not be hosting alone. Rather, I hear SNL is putting together a “Women of Comedy” episode that would team the former Rose Nylund with several of her younger contemporaries. Ex-SNL MVP Molly Shannon is on board, I hear, and feelers have also been put out to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. (An NBC spokesperson insists no one has been confirmed at this time.)

I can't stand SNL, she doesn't need to go on there; she is one busy lady. Glad that she is getting so much attention. I would like to see her in another TV show, she was a blast in Boston Legal.

Not hosting alone??? WTF? Is that because of her age? SNL should be happy that they are getting some attention lately since their cast is now mediocre and don't get attention lately. Then Facebook fans got them attention with asking for Betty to come on there and they'd have the nerve to not have her host? Idiots.

She should be given a shot to host the show, she's a comedienne they have cast ensemble to support her what's the big deal, geeze its just one night...they've had stinkers and who knows she just might rock it..I say give her a shot why the ensemble hosting?
It doesn't make sense some kind of discrimination going down here could it be age?
