Anti-Gay Family Research Council Loves Them Some Procter and Gamble
By Jamey Giddens on February 18, 2010

Advocate.com is reporting Procter and Gamble and their new production partner Wal-Mart will be guests at a Value Voters Summit sponsored by the anti-gay Family Research Council. The meeting will be held at the late Jerry Falwell's Liberty University. You might remember, Falwell once thought one of the Teletubbies was gay, and encouraged parents to stop their children from watching the kid's show.

Reportedly, the Family Research Council— which was a vocal supporter of Proposition 8— is just so gosh darned excited about P&G and Wal-Mart's upcoming remake of Deliverance NBC TV movie, Gays Are Wrong, Cousins Are Right Secrets of the Mountain, they invited them up for a discussion on "family values". Something tells me Guiding Light's last big supercouple, Otalia's (Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia) invitation got lost in the mail.

Oh, please, they are the biggest hypocrites on the planet. They just need to shut up and NBC will be the biggest loser for signing up for this mess.

So, can people now stop blaming Ellen Wheeler for the lack of physical intimacy between Olivia and Natalia?

Well I don't understand why they allowed the boys from ATWT to kiss and have a not showed sex scene but wouldnt allow Otalia to barely touch. It might of been because on ATWT the fans had more time to protest. Either way it's ironic for P&G to be loved by Anti-Gay family research when imo they had the best gay family I've seen ever portrayed on TV.

I would think that the Family Research Council would love Otalia. No sex, no kissing, oly good wholesome headbutting.

I've been wondering if anyone ever heard in anything definitive about which entity was responsible for mandating the physical intimacy ban on Otalia. I go back and forth assuming it was either CBS or P&G. This latest bit of news sure makes the pendulum swing back to P&G. I hope someday someone tells us the whole inside story.

syworld82 looks like we'll just have to agree about disagreeing lol (which its amazing that we actually can disagree about homosexual couples on daytime tv) I just havent been able to get into Kish, I am trying though, it might have something to do with me not having knowledge on the background of the characters for instance I prefered Otalia because I knew the characters for at least a year before anything happened between them. I do agree that they hate ABC but it has to be because of Kish and Callie/Arizona on Greys because the storyline for Reese/Bianca was just blah and lets not forget poor little Lucas on GH.

Procter & Gamble may not be involved with the Council, but they still don't treat their gay characters well.
