Well, rumor is that Farah Fath hates Crystal Hunt...which is a big part of why Stacy is getting axed. Supposedly, FF complained that the strippers were hurting her storyline and making her character hated.  She wanted to work more with Erika Slezak. Frank Valentini is hell bent on keeping Farah Fath on OLTL.

As for JPL...I have no clue why he is not there.

i know crystal hunt had fans on GL, but i am SO READY for her to be off my screen on OLTL.  i'm tired of her sleepwalking through her scenes.  yesterday was really awful... "oh i'm so tired"... *gag* she put absolutely no feeling into it at all.

I know I am in the minority here and I've only consistently watched OLTL since September 09 but I've liked Stacy.  I hate that she is leaving.  She's a clever schemer.  Stacy and Kim are a breathe of fresh air on this show.  If I had to get rid of anyone it would have been that JPL and FF.  They have definitely been stinking up the screens from the time that I have watched.  That's just my opinion.

Yes, daytime fan....supposedly Hunt was cut, which has been out for a couple of months now.  I guess, people didn't like her or the character which is a shame, cause I'm of the philosophy that if nobody likes you and you're a villianious character, it means you are doing a great job!!!....but alas, I think her time is winding up.

I think it would be great though and we were all tricked and it is really Gigi who is leaving, which would open up a ton of drama and storylines I would say, but again...who knows?

Smitty, I have to agree with you. JPL is a horrible actor. He overacts so much that it's jarring. Sometimes, I wonder why the directors haven't pulled him aside and said, "Tone it down a bit." He must come from the Kin Shriner School of Acting. JPL's scene telegraph, "LOOK! I'M ACTING!"

And I started watching OLTL around the same time as you. I ditched Y&R. I don't mind Stacy at all. I like her, actually. Love to hate her. I guess my opinion would be different if I had been watching all along.

 To the newer viewers. JPL has not always been this bad. I don't know what happened, who told him to continue this over the top stuff, but it's horrible. Rex was a fun, entertaining character. He changed right after Gigi came to town & has only gotten worse after they brought on Stacy. 

I like JPL. He's not a bad actor. The problem is Rex. Rex is the type of character that should be a supporting player, not a leading man.

Crystal Hunt has really grown on me.  I still believe that if Crystal was the rumored 'Sarah Roberts' recast, she would still be working.

To be honest I watched OLTL during a couple summers when home from college during 03, 04 and 05 so I had seen JPL as Rex before and I don't remember him being this bad.  His acting choices now are glaring!  He sticks out like a sore thumb.  It's beyond ridiculous.  That mess he does with his face is like maybe he needs some botox so we can stop him from doing all these crazy facial expressions.

FF as Gigi has been up and down for me.  When she is around Rex I find her acting much worse.  When she is with Schuyler she is much more tolerable.  I remember her from DAYS and I don't remember her being this inconsistent and bad.  She just needs to get it together.  I'm tired of these hit or miss performances from her.

Whether either FF or JPL like the storyline the thing is they are paid to ACT!  POINT! BLANK! PERIOD!

I registered today just to say that agree so much with Smithy's comment. As a long time OLTL viewer since the 90's, I can safely say that Kim and Stacy have been such a treat to see on OLTL, both as individual characters and as a duo. Aside from Kish, they are two of my favorite characters to come along in A LONG TIME. So sad that we'll be losing Stacy so soon.

I think that the s/l was bad from the start. Stacy was Brian Frons' pet and he "supposedly" shoved her down our throats and made the other characters dumb to make the s/l make sense also didn't go well with viewers. But I kinda like Stacy now and don't want her to go, LOL. I feel that if they have her have some sympathy for Shane it would of made be much better for the character of Stacy.

It seems like FF and JPL have been "acting up" rather than acting for the past year.  They're better actors than what we've been seeing since February 09.  But, they hate their storyline (and seemingly their co-star) so they haven't been turning in good performances.  It's ridiculous because they should have just done their jobs.  Only yesterday when Gigi was going off on Stacey did I see the old Gigi from when Farah first came on the show (probably b/c she knew Krystal would be gone soon). 

I disagree with you guys about Krystal/Stacey.  Krystal has been sleep walking (as txriotgrrl said) through her entire time on OLTL.  It's like she just showed up, mumbled a few lines, and went home.  No energy.  Like she didn't want to be there.  And Stacey could have been a good villain if they hadn't taken the character so far.  Once she bartered with Gigi for Shane's life it was over.  She couldn't come back from that.  She could have been a fun bitch, but they made her an evil psycho bitch instead.  Kim made her a bit more tolerable, but not by much.  I think this whole Stacey thing has been a combination of bad acting and poor storytelling. 

The OLTL cast knows how to have a good time. I'm gonna miss Crystal on OLTL. Her & Kim cracked me the hell up. If that FF fued is true then that really is cold. I could care less about Gigi & Rex right now.

I'll pick them up when I come by the studio this weekend!

Dear Smitty, I'm always imitated NEVER duplicated. You can't fill my cup with water let alone my shoes!  The blueprints (ME) ALWAYS better than the carbon-copy (YOU!).

Before people start bugging out, Smitty and I ALWAYS rip each other. Its our relationship..

Have to agree about JPL--he's nice to look at on occasion(preferably without a shirt), but his acting is scattershot at best; one minute, he's toned down, the next he's doing a bad Ryan Reynolds parody(yes I know, some may see that last little bit as an oxymoron).  As for Farrah Fath, I enjoy Gigi when she's being a smart ass or going off on Stacy, but she's a one-trick pony---when a scene requires actual ACTING and not just snappy one-liners,  there's a definite vacancy in the space where a decent actress should be.  On that note, she's no better than the much maligned Crystal Hunt ,who I know they've been trying to make a little sympathetic in the last couple of weeks but too little too late; the only thing good to come from Stacy Fiasco was the intro of Amanda Setton, who frankly could teach Fath and Hunt a thing or three about acting.  At this point they could dispense with not only Hunt, but Fath and JPL as well and I wouldn't lose an ounce when nightime rolled around.

Casting aside all the negative comments, the party looked like fun and good luck to Crystal Hunt!
