Y&R's Stephen Nichols on Tucker vs. Kay: "I Am Going to Get Her"
MICHAEL: So we can safely assume that the conflict and confrontations between Katherine Chancellor and her son, Tucker, will continue? He is out for revenge on his mother!
STEPHEN: Yes, he is out for revenge on his mother. I mean any kid that was put in an orphanage at birth, and whose mother put him there and never looked back, would feel resentful of that. So yeah, I am going to get her.
Nichols also mentions if Tucker's truly smitten with Genoa City's own badgirl, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).
MICHAEL: Is Tucker a ‘playa’?
STEPHEN: Oh yes, Tucker is a player. I can give you a little tidbit. One night, Tucker gets a knock at the door and it’s Jill, and he was not expecting her. Tucker is trying to get rid of her the whole time she is standing there, and at the end of the scene, once he finally gets her out of the door, a 20-something year old comes out of his bedroom. I say, “I am sorry this took so long.” And she says, “Less talk and more action, baby.” And I say, “Oh well, I like the sound of that.” And then we get to it…. and so… he is a ‘playa’! (Laughs)
Damn, Jill can't catch a break can she?

I'm looking forward to Stephen's Tucker. Wasn't to interested in this s/l until now but now that he's taking over the role .... YAH!

Great interview. I listened to it and hearing Stephens voice makes me even more excited. What a great roll for him and I am sure he will do it justice. This story is so exciting and his addition makes it all the more so. Stephen rocks!

I know Stephen Nichols is a fantastic actor and nice eye candy yada yada yada....but William Russ was really starting to grow on me. He went against the grain. I'll miss him.
Russ' last day was today in the US. Nichols starts tomorrow.

@ Reg, I get that, but that's typically when you grow up with the parent. In his case, he was given away. Now, unless he grew up with an exceptionally difficult life fraught with abuse and heartbreak there's no way I'm going to buy him "getting back" at Kay, especially since this character is blindingly rich. If he was a younger character, like in the case of SMG's Kendall Hart, I could believe it more. But there are great actors involved so I suppose it can't be any worse than Y&R has done recently.

I do agree with you that it would make sense to have so much pain and anger if the child was younger. I think he said he would see it differently if Katherine was poor when she had him but I think he does not understand why his rich mother would give him up. If anything you would think instead of lashing out at her and getting revenge he would have absolutely nothing to do with her.

I want to give him a bar of soap and a razor and in comparison to William Russ, he SUCKS BIG TIME! He is a creepy looking character and does nothing for the story.
