You know that feeling you get when you've just finished a really good novel, or had really good sex? You feel affirmed. Connected. That's how I feel right now after seeing how BET.com's brilliant premiere web series Buppies wrapped its first season. Fresh Prince of Belair and The Young and the Restless star Tatyana Ali did the work of her acting career as Hollywood princess Quinci, in this amazingly drawn season finale of Buppies from the creative mind of Julian Breece.

Mad props to Breece, his producing partner Aaliyah Williams, Ali, her producing partner/sister Anastasia Ali and the entire Buppies cast and crew for making this past 10 weeks so doggone enjoyable! If the Soap Gods are listening, I will make any sacrifice necessary— even Daytime Confidential publisher Luke Kerr's Battlestar Galactica DVD's— to see this show come back for a second season, preferably in primetime!

This show has heart. I love it. It's just fun to watch. It's one of the only web series I look forward to.

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't even care about the Quinci and Derek storyline until the last two episodes, now I HAVE to know what happens! Plus, I know my boy Truth is gonna show up at Eliot and Priscilla's wedding!!!

As a African American woman I must say that I love this show I do not think I have found myself connected to a show featuring so many African American characters since City of Angels on CBS. I am very proud of BET which is hard for me to say.
THe thing i really love about this show is that it is a relatable show, not because they are black but their plots can happen to anyone of any race, and you can place anyone from the other races in the same story.
Jamey please tell me can they move this show to thwe t.v. or will it be kept as a web series? If it was not for you i would not have found it.

Buppies is good but the 3 to 4 minute format should be extended. Eastenders E20 6 to 9 minutes should be the standard for web shows.
