Did anyone mention Allison Janney? I know that she's been most successful on primetime tv with The West Wing, but she has been in films. My favorites are Drop Dead Gorgeous, The Hours and Juno. She was also in American Beauty and she did the voice for Peach in Finding Nemo. She was on Guiding Light in the early ninties playing Ginger, who I believe was a maid for the Spauldings.

Got to give a shout-out to my favorite, Nathan Fillion. I love him in Serenity, Waitress, and Slither. And he's got to be the classiest ex-soap star I know in that he came back to OLTL just a couple of years ago for the show's 10,000th episode to revive the role of Joey. He's just cool!

Now I know Jamey wasn't there with you all, but how could you forget my girl Robin Wright from Santa Barbara. She was Kelly Capwell for four years. She's been in tons of movies like Forrest Gump, She's so Lovely, Unbreakable and one of my all time favorites. Remember she was Princess Buttercup from the Princess Bride. "As You Wish...."

Lindsay Lohan actually was good on AW. I thought she was very cute and had a kind of nice rapport with the character of Jake McKinnon.
Didn't hear anyone mention Marissa Tomei from As the World Turns I believe nor Al Freeman Jr. or Blair Underwood both of who were on OLTL.
Honorable Mention: Wesley Snipes for playing a sleazy music agent named Reg on AMC.

I did forget about Parker Posey and Robin Wright was on my list, but I forgot her as an HM. I have vague memories of Marissa Tomei, which is weird because she was working alongside Julianne Moore and Christian LeBlanc! Allison Janey wasnt even on my radar.

Robin Wright Penn (Princess Bride) was on Santa Barbara as Kelly Capwell (though she downplays her soap experience from what I heard)

Mike--absolutely loved Steve & Betsy back in the day on ATWT. Meg Ryan and Frank Runyon has such chemistry. I will never forget when Craig (the wonderful Scott Bryce) set Steve up by using scotch tape to get Steve's fingerprints off of a glass, and then planted them so Steve would be arrested because he wanted Betsy for himself.

Suprised that no one had Alec Baldwin (The Doctors, 555-5555) in the Top 5 though:
- 2 Emmys, 3 Golden Globes and 4 SAG Awards for 30 Rock
- Oscar nom for The Cooler
- Hosting the Oscars this year.
- Over 50 movies
- Knots Landing, where he actually showed up for the reunion show years later.
- Best SNL Guest Host many times over.
He is annoying at times, but a talented star nonetheless. I would say he's a much bigger star than Ryan Phillippe or Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Does JJ count? I mean he had some sucess in movies in his first stint on GH, left and had some more really good movies after that. I mean he's been back and forth with tv and film for years and he still went back to the mother ship. No vanity there.
Demi Morre I would never put on any list because she denies her soap roots. I've seen her in countless interviews were she refuses to say she was on a soap or talk about her time on that. She told Rosie on her show once to not go there. Now she can't get good work if it bit her plastic ass.
Meg Ryan, ATWT, to this day she always talks about her soap days with fondness. Even on Oprah she talked about the good old days and her mark on the soap world.
