General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
I wasn't happy with Lucky going over to Jason's and basically telling him all the evidence he has in the Claudia case. First off, why was it necessary to pre-warn Jason? Whose side is Lucky on? And secondly, by telling Jason that Maxie is a witness, doesn't than endanger Maxie's life? Although, I will give Jonathan Jackson credit for having Lucky seem so wild and bewildered in that scene. It was almost like he had ants crawling under his skin.
I loved that Ethan called Lulu and told her his suspicions about Lucky. I love that despite the animosity, Ethan is looking out for his new brother. I loved the Lulu/Lucky scene and that he admitted so quickly that he was drinking. I was hoping he'd tell her the truth about Niz, but I guess that's still to come. I also loved that Luke finally showed up at the end, but I do wonder what Anthony Geary has done to his hair!
I hated that Nikolas actually suggested to Liz that Lulu would keep their secret. Leave poor Lulu out of your disgusting lies.
I still hate everything Lisa and Patrick.This couple seems awfully annoying. I don't like it when extras are given more screen time than some of my favorites. This boyfriend who wants to dump his girlfriend for possibly being wheelchair-bound when he caused the accident is getting on my last nerve. I get that there is somehow going to be a parallel with Lisa and Patrick, but I don't care enough about Lisa to want to know what it is.
There were interesting scenes with Dante and Sonny, Michael and Sonny, as well as Dante, Michael and Sonny. Sonny was ready to bestow his legacy to Dante, who clearly won't want it, but has to play it like he does. Michael was pissed that Dante is an interloper, while Sonny is trying hard to make Michael see that he wants a better life for him. It was well done all around.
I loved the limited Q scene and their interaction with Carly.

Perkie...Lucky and Jason's newfound/rekindled respect/friendship makes complete sense NOW, although before it seemed to reflect Guza's immense love/crush on the two actors than anything else.
NOW, however, Lucky's world has just been turned upside down, and he's struggling to make sense of it. I see a man who has fought most of his adult life to stay on the straight and narrow in order to get the "happily ever after" that seemed impossible if he followed in his father's footsteps. Becoming a cop was really the first strike, since playing the brave hero was the catalyst for his addiction; he wouldn't have gotten hooked on pain pills if he hadn't been injured in the line of duty in the first place. And we all know what "the love of his life" has been up to. Strike two. And Lucky accepted Nik as his brother when Luke referred to him merely as the "Cassadine spawn" or something like that. Strike three.
The way Lucky sees it, if he isn't going to get his "happily ever after" by playing by the rules, then what incentive is there? Look at Luke - he does exactly what he wants, rules be damned, and yet Luke is happier than Lucky has been for a while.
Of course, he also could've been stopping by for the first official meeting of the I Got Screwed (Literally) by St. Lizzie Webber Club. At first Lucky wasn't eligible because he didn't father any children with her, but since Ric was let in under extenuating circumstances, Jason and Zander (the angel, of course) probably figured he had earned the right to join.

I enjoyed the little bit of Q scenes we got today and thought Morgan was a hoot with Alice and Edward was totally inappropriate with Morgan. Wonder how he'll handle two young ladies in his home? I hope not the same way he spoke around Morgan.
Loved the scene with Carly/Michael/Morgan and Carly/Michael. Well done. Carly seems to know that Michael needs help but clearly doesn't know how to get it for him.
Great scenes with Dante/Sonny, Michael/Sonny, Michael/Dante and Michael/Sonny/Dante. Boy did Michael show himself today! I really hope Sonny sees how desperately Michael needs psychological help or there really isn't any hope for him anymore. I can hardly wait until both Sonny and Michael learn that Dante is Sonny's oldest son and Michael's big brother. I think Sonny will deal with it but it will send Michael over the deep end.
I wanted to reach into the tv and slap Nik. How dare he suggest Lulu lie and cover for him and Liz's lies and cheating! I thought he couldn't go any lower but I was wrong!
Loved the Lulu/Ethan and Lulu/Lucky scenes. Very heartfelt and well done by all three actors. Loved the Jason/Lucky scenes as well as the Lucky/Luke scene. I had no problem with what Lucky said to Jason. I get it. And I loved what Lucky said to Luke. But TG, please get to a hair stylist soon!
There were so many powerful, riviting scenes today that I watched it twice!!!

Okay, I think I wanted to smack Michael harder today than at any point since he woke up. That boy needs to get an ass kicking, and fast. I FLOVE that Dante wasn't taking his smack talk and walked back into Sonny's house when Michael started threatening his life!! I can't wait for tomorrow!!
I also can't wait for the upcoming smackfest between Lucky and Niz. It all starts tomorrow, and I can't wait for Liz's world to crumble. I wonder how Nik will respond. I really hope he doesn't do the whole, "Don't blame Liz" thing, but he probably will. I guess that's how guys roll once they've gotten some of Liz's frigid lovin. They all of a sudden start feeling really sorry for her all the time. Although, since Nik, she's supposedly frigid no more, so we'll see.
I loved all the Spencer siblings and Luke getting involved with Lucky's drama. I'm looking forward to seeing how this family bands together during this time. I think Lucky told Jason about Maxie being a witness because he just doesn't give a flying funk anymore and he's ready to blow up his life, ala Carly and vintage Sam. I'm really looking forward to seeing JJ work his magic over the next few months in this storyline.
Last, but not least, I was happy to see Jason tell Lucky that Liz only cared about him, but she never stopped loving Lucky. I've always been of the mind that Liz didn't really love Jason because she never really knew who he was. She made up an idea in her head of who she wanted Jason to be and she hoped and dreamed that one day he would turn into that man. In 2002 and 2008 she said herself that she made Jason up in her head and didn't let herself admit who he truly was. When they finally ended things for good after Jake was taken by the Russians, she admitted to Patrick that she didn't love Jason, but was hopelessly infatuated with him. I always thought this was true, especially since Jason never confided in her a single time about his life. He never trusted her and she never accepted him. Add that to the fact that they had one of the most passionless and sexless "relationships" in all of soap history, and I think we can all agree that a love story this was not.

Hey Jason had tears in his eyes as well.
I'm not a Liason fans (I find them overrated and boring) and while I don't know if Liz loved Jason, I am of the opinion that she doesn't love Lucky. She might love him like a puppy or a brother but this great lovestory between Lucky and Liz has been over and done with for a good 8-10 years.

Is he really though? I always get the feeling that Luke isn't all that happy with his lot in life and the messes he's made, but he puts up a front. Or maybe that's what TG is doing.

I agree. MIcheal was already going balistic at the thought of Dante getting the business when he's not related, imagine how he'll feel to find out that not only is Dante, Sonny's son, but his first born.
Loved the Lulu/Ethan and Lulu/Lucky scenes. Very heartfelt and well done by all three actors
Who knew we'd all come to love Ethan and Lulu so much. Goes to show what good writing can do, when they have to.

I have not been this hyped about GH in a very long time. Love how the current major s/l's not only involve one or more core families but also the new generation. The casting dept has done a fabulous job.
Corinthos - Love the way they are setting up the conflict/rivalry between Michael and Dominic/Dante. This will make the Dante reveal more interesting as it will bring that rivalry to a new level. Brother against brother. Michael won't take it very well, to say the least and we will have more than just Sonny's "betrayal" reaction. Great stuff. Great job by both these actors.
Spencer - Great interactions between all the Spencer siblings. The writing for Ethan has made him likable. Loving anything Lucky. The Spencers will be in the fallout of the Dante reveal because of Lulu/Dante and are headed for a new generation Spencer/Cassidine fued.
Davis/Cassidine - Great interaction also between the Davis siblings. The teen abuse s/l is being well done and will involve the Spencers via Ethan. Can't really get behind Niz, but I don't think they were ever intended to be a couple, just a plot ploy to set up the Spencer/Cassidine fued. Looking forward to the Cassidine side of Nik. New generation Cassidine.
Don't really get the Lucky/Jason BFF bond given all the animosity of the past couple of years but I am enjoying it.
The only downfall right now is the New Lisa character who is stuck in her college years. However, I don't think that she will cause any real problems for Scrubs. I think that Steve Webber will be the one to do that.

I really liked the episode minus the Patrick and Lisa scenes. Tell me again why do they have her here. She's not a good actress and has no chemistry with Patrick. Please hurry and bring Robin back.
Loved the scenes with Dante and Michael. I loved when Dante asked Michael why he was so angry and said if he's angry about climate change too. Michael needs to be taken down a few pegs and I think Dante is the one to do it.
I loved all the scenes with the Spencers. Ethan is actually growing on me. i'm glad Luke is back and hopefully Lucky tells him what is wrong but I'm sure Luke will guess.

I loved everything Spencer today, including Ethan being worried about Lucky and calling Lu for help! I've always liked Ethan, I'm glad he's starting to grow on some of y'all! Loved Luke showing up at the end with Lucky.
BTW-Whoever said it about TG needing a hairstylist..LOL!! But TG doesn't have alot of hair to work with!
Loved the interaction with the Q's, Carly and Morgan. FLOVED Morgan and Big Alice! Alice is one of the charactors that I would like to see more of.
Sam was DROP DEAD GORGEOUS today, and Krissy looked very pretty, too. ESPECIALLY with "Mr. Luke."
When it comes out that Dante' and Michael are brothers, I hope Dante' takes Michael out in the back 40 and gives him a "brotherly" beatdown! Loved that Dante' came back into Sonny's when Michael was going off to Sonny about him! Do NOT take Michael's crap, Dante'!
Did GV's Lucky EVER solve a crime?.......
I shouted with JOY when Jason told Lucky that he'd wanted to tell Lucky about Jake's paternity and Lucky said, "But ELIZABETH told you not to." GOD that made me HAPPY!!!!

FaisonFan... I'm still hoping that one day there will be a paternity switch and Liz will admit that she lied about the whole thing and always knew Jake was Lucky's. In my mind, she tells everyone she just wanted her and Jason to have a bond together and that she thought if Jason kept it a secret, they could keep their fake bond but nobody would ever have to know about it. I've always believed that Liz didn't want Jason to tell Sam about Jake because then her and Jason wouldn't share this secret together, and that was how she manipulated him into always being there for her. I know it's not gonna happen, but a girl can dream, right? Actually, I do think that eventually there will be a paternity switch, but it won't be because of Liz's lies, but some lab mistake. I think that's how they'll finally get LL2 back together.

See, I think it's all a matter of perspective. Lucky could definitely conclude that Luke has been happy because he has limited his contact with him until very recently. So he has really only seen Luke 1) after he found his bestest new son EVER (Ethan), 2) after he swindled Tracy into marrying him so he could get her money, 3) when he "remarried" Laura, etc. Luke has only really shown sadness over 2 things in the recent past: 1) Lucky continually rejecting him, and 2) Laura returning to her catatonic state. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he wasn't really around for the "Loo going crazy and on the run" storyline (and I wish I hadn't been, either, LOL).
As for yesterday's conversation with Jason, I don't see Lucky's motivations being "selling out Dante" as "protecting Maxie," and that is PRECISELY the type of distinction that LUKE would make. If he was REALLY in it to protect JASON, or sell out DANTE, he would have revealed Dante's true identity, IMO. Yet he didn't. He just basically said, "Hey - FYI, I'm off the case so I can't look the other way on those close calls anymore, and given how close she is to you, I thought you should know that Maxie may feel the pressure." At least, that was *my* interpretation.

Boy did I want to go right through my t.v. and slap Michael into next week! For me, the best thing about the Dante/Michael interactions is that Dante is always respectful - never condescending to him, but he doesn't hesitate to let Michael know when he crosses a line. Of course, it makes Michael's ridiculous sense of entitlement and Sonny-sized ego that much more aggravating.
Still, perhaps this will be a brother v. brother storyline where one brother isn't always going to be the punching bag (*cough*Ric*cough*AJ*cough). Like Mayjadjor said, girl can dream...

I think the reason I remember the Sonny/Ric vs the stairs is because at the time Ric was CONSTANTLY going on about Son pushing their mom down the stairs when she was preg. with Ric.

Me being a Jr. and always wanting to be just like my dad, I understand 100% of what Michael feels like. Having brothers w/ different mothers I really understand what Michael is going to feel like when the reveal comes out. Every young man wants to be like his dad, whether he's a doctor or a drug lord so I really don't get the problem you guys have with Michael. Is it right that he want's to be the next Mob Boss in training? No! But it's life and it's probably the most realistic S/L on this show right now. If Sonny had Mac's job then you all would be begging Mike to be just like dear old dad, but because he's the Biggest Boss, you all find it appauling. Exactly how I felt when Johnny did everything he could to get away from Zacrazy, yet chose to work for Sonny. .I've been reading for years now and have never posted anything, so I LOL when I hear all the negatives towards Jason & Sonny, but they are the only reason I watch the show. They are what separates GH from being just like every other Soap on TV. Now that I've given my introduction to DC, I'm sure I'll get a warm welcome...LOL! (About as warm a welcome as Claudia got when Michael opened that Cabin door!)

Um...because he's acting like a total douche! I have a problem with Michael's BEHAVIOR, just like I do with my teenage sister's behavior. I love her, but sometimes, she too is in desperate need of a smackdown. On the other hand, I DISLIKE Keifer, Lisa, and Liz as PEOPLE, which is different.
I think you answered your own question, LOL. Add in the fact that this kid has been shot in the head, kidnapped (twice!), shot a woman, and killed another all before he could VOTE, and I think our objections to Michael continuing the cycle are HARDLY unreasonable.
