Daytime Confidential Down Under
Want to know what can be expected from Neighbours in 2010? Well the new season is going to start out with a pregnancy (or two!?), a new love interest and did i mention that the newest Neighbour will be one you will not easily forget?
What else can you expect from Neighbours' landmark 25th season/ Series producers have promised no one will be leaving in the first six months. Viewers will also be treated to brand new sets! Also look for an unexpected wedding and for a main couple to break up.

Next we have Home and Away!
Its time for the "Bay of Love" on Home and Away this season, with the show returning to its roots and leaving all that people smuggling and gun foolishness behind.
As you can see the one thing they are not leaving behind is funerals! Someone won't make it, but who? On Jan. 29, Home and Away will air its 5,000th episode. Unfortunately, the series has decided not to do a big event like they did with the 4,000th episode, instead they will be celebrating all year long!
Will there be big returns? You can bet your bottom dollar that there will! So far only Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons) is confirmed to return. Reportedly the actress, who just finished up a run on the UK soap Emmerdale, will be returning to Australian screens this March.
Katie Ritchie (ex-Sally) is also rumored to be returning to the series, this year, but then so is everyone else and their mother!

G'day John, lol! I loved the promos! I'm going through serious Neighbours withdrawal. I miss Paul, but his son looks like a turd, lol.
I'm guessing my dream couple Lucas and Donna still aren't together yet on Neighbours?? Damn It, they would be GOLD, lol!

So I just found out Home and Away airs on Dutch TV. Who knew! Today they aired episode 4021. Haven't watched the show yet, but maybe I'll give it a try.

Yay! Welcome back DC: Down Under! I'm really glad you've added in the NZ soap Shortland Street too - I've been watching ep's of that on 7TWO here in Aus and I'm totally getting into it! Pity it's on at the same time as Days, oh well. No more people smuggling and gun shenanigans on H&A huh? Guess I don't need to watch the rest of the year's episodes lol just joking, I will :D
@Mark from what I can gather from Twitter, H&A airs all around Europe! UK is more up to date I believe, but the success of Neighbours means you get to see more Aussie soap goodness in that part of the world lol

so jealous!! It's criminal that some of us don't have easy access to these shows. I would PAY to watch them!! In fact, in the past I have paid to watch them... :( I miss EastEnders so much... Just another good reason to move to the UK I guess, lol

Oh i would love to move to the U.K!
And it is a complete shame, supposedly Neighbours and Home and away are in a bit of a legal fight at the moment and that is why it is not airing here in the US. But i don't know if there is any truth to that.

John, thanks for the info!! Oh and B and I will eventually make it to the UK and of course you're invited! Be warned though, I have the address of Stephen Lord's production company and we will be "casually" walking back and forth right in front of it all day until we "just happen" to bump into him, lol.
