Desperate Housewives' Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan) got zapped like a mosquito in the summer, on Sunday's episode. This after she inadvertently saved Katherine's (Dana Delany) life, escaped being strangled by her husband, avoided killing a masked Orson Hodge (Kyle MacLachlan) by swerving to avoid him in the street and crashing into an electrical pole.

Haven't seen this episode, either, but I'm guessing that it was good & soapy. I hate that Edie was killed off. Katherine would have been a better choice to buy the farm. I always have thought of that character as Bree lite.

Also why couldn't it be Katherine. At least Edie had personality.

I've never been a big fan of Edie but *loved* Nicolete's wonderful acting in this episode. In my opinion, this was the best acting she's ever done on DH. after seeing this, it really is a shame they killed her off. It's aldo a shame that she didn't end up being the Liza Colby recast as someoen here suggested.
