The one I thing is the best couple is not on there. I think Starr and Cole are the best Soap Couple of the decade.

At first glance of just the post title I was like, "Oooh, I have to check this out and see who's there to choose!" When really looking at it, it says DECADE! For me it's GL's Gus & Harley. No question about it. That's the couple I enjoyed most throughout the decade. A close 2nd is AMC's Tad & Dixie. I was so hooked on them at the start of the decade, but overall, their storyline was terrible or non-existent. There are some wonderful other choices, like Otalia, Nuke, Harley & Phillip, Ross & Blake, Josh & Reva, Leo & Greenlee... But I can only choose one - my GusH.

Even though they will only be a couple for a couple of months this decade, I had to vote Kish. LOL

Voting is secret so I won't say for  which couple I voted, but I will point out that as the industry tries to stay afloat they might consider diversity. I count 3 African Americans, 4 Hispanics, and 4 Gay couples. One of those AAs was Evangeline paired with John, the pairing was the first and last time I enjoyed Michael Easton. TPTB need to do more or some color blind casting, why couldn't Lisa on GH have been Black, Hispanic, or Asian, for one recent example?

So many great couples to pick from but I have to go with Jason and Sam!  They always pull at my heartstrings...I love them so. Lol

Anamal, no need to be rude.  I'm a newer soap viewer and have only been watching soaps a few years and don't know most of those couples, so I voted who I personally like. Just cause you disagree so be it. It was either Kish or Nikki & Victor for me.

SO hard to choose! My first choice wasn't on there, either: Marcie and Al/Michael, OLTL. Even death couldn't keep them apart!  I voted for my second choice, Scrubs, b/c I think they are a good representation of a modern couple, struggling to balance their demanding careers w/ family life. Also, showing that a person can live w/ AIDS and still have a fulfilling life is compelling.  While you could hardly call Liason a couple since they were actually together a total of a nanosecond, they are my third choice. They say more w/ their eyes than most couple say to each other in a week!  Then I'd go w/ Zendall, Leo and Greenlee, Todd and Blair and Bo and Hope. Can I have a top 7 list, lol?

Seriously at the close of the 20th century and the start of the 21 century, the best couple or non couple of the decade was Liason. I just loved them from 99-2003.  Then we had them again just for a little while in 2007-08.  It was great while it lasted though I want the next decade to be the Liason wedding decade.

No one does it better than Jason and Elizabeth GH.  They are the best couple/non-couple of the decade to me.  Their eyes say everything.

Jonathan and Tammy! Sexy, heartbreaking and dark. I know many blame those two as the reason the soap died, but the breakout phenom Tom and the subtly georgous Stephanie sold this compelling lovestory.

For my favorite Soap Opera Couple of  the decade has to go with Belle and Shawn Brady from Days Of Our Lives. This was the first young couple I saw when I first started to watch days when I was nine years old. I loved them two so much especially when Kirsten Storms, and Jason Cook were in the roles. They had great chemistry with one another. They dealt with a lot of stuff including all the problems they parents went through. Such as a princess pretending to be your mom. Also your mother being a killer. Them two went through a lot together. I hope Days rescue Jason from GH and recast Belle with Marcy Rylan. They need to come to Salem ASAP.

Where are Edna and Precious? I think the nomination committee is prejudiced against inter-species couples. Shame.

It's an easy one for me... and it's a couple that has actually been on for the last decade and is protrayed by the same actors.  Their chemistry has sparked a following spanning their length of time on the show. I found an on-line sista&brutha-hood who adopted me into their family where we find comfort during the long doughts. I can't think of another couple who's spawned more homemade vids or fan fictions. They even have their own fan fiction awards!!!  They've soldout  two fan events and we are hoping for a third.

Love this couple so much!

 For me, it was a toss up between Leo and Greenlee & Ryan and Gillian.  What tipped the scale is that--after Gillian died--Ryan grief-boinked his way through Pine Valley.  That's when his character was ruined for me.  And it's salt in the wound that he has mentioned Gillian maybe twice since in the past eight years.  She was the love of his life!  Well, she was the FIRST love of his life.  Ridiculous.

So.  Yeah.  Leo and Greenlee.

There are some really great couples on the list....However I had to go with  in my eyes the classic love story of Jason and Elizabeth....while they have been 10 years in the making, their relationship has a solid foundation yet there is plenty of angst to bring in the soapy element!!

 My vote would have gone to Jessica and Cristian (OLTL). I know they ended in 2000, but they were a couple for a tiny portion of this decade so they should have been included. But i voted for my second choice, Simon and Katie of ATWT! After them i would have said Leo and Greenlee (AMC) or JT and Colleen (Y&R).
