Let me get this straight. Vanessa Marcil made a return to GH all but impossible despite the exhausting and nauseating overtures from Guza... only to do what? A soap... online? I thought the whole idea was to maintain her acting status as having risen above daytime and that she couldn't come back b/c she was just so busy with other non-daytime acting gigs. None of this makes sense.

The nail in the coffin has got to be that her "Madison" character is nothing but a reincarnation of GH's "Sam McCall" character. Vanessa.... you're officially cookie-cutter. Congrats.  =)  I really didn't want to see your mousy-whiney antics on GH anyway so I hope this works out of you. Really, I do.

That's crap! Return as Brenda, Vanessa. That would be a way better choice than something like this. Can't believe it...

This actually looks like a web series that I actually will like. It's hard for me to get into any of them to be truthful. it kinda reminds me of a show that would be on cable. But a decent trailer does not make a show. Still I don't think VM will ever come back to GH.

Brilliant con-artist does not, in itself, imply intellectual (book-smart) intelligence or saavy. Merely that she's great at ripping people off. That seems pretty in line with Sam McCall. After all, didn't she spend years ripping men out of their life savings with her black-widow routine? It doesn't take a genius to be a "brilliant con-artist" – more so an astute understanding of the human condition.

From what I have read, VM always wanted to come back to GH, but she wanted a more flexible schedule which GH refused to give her. So...maybe the web soap is giving her that? I can't imagine it's as time consuming as GH.

Vanessa did not leave GH to be a "Big Star" and only do features. She left to take a break and spend more time with her son. She came back to GH twice.

She is working with talented people and having fun with the role which is not the same as her 'Vegas' character.

Personally I don't want her back on GH since the writers are crap now and they wasted her last time. Plus they overworked her. GH treats their actresses like crap compared to the male actors. See how they treated Genie. She wanted a better contract and outs like Tony Geary but they refused then destroyed her character.

I seriously doubt Guza or the producers have made any serious offers to her and what story would they give her? Carly (ugh) dominates the canvas now and so does Sonny even though ratings continue to plummet with them featured in the same old same old. Tiic would have Carly winning over Brenda repeatedly and I don't want to see that.

Sam McCall is another "Brenda-bot" in the long line that have appeared on GH.
I'd love to see VM back on GH but I'm afraid how they may write for her.
Between CarJax, CarSon and Solivia, where would they put Brenda?  They always put her with Sonny or Jax.  Would be good to see her back with Jason again; they were hilarious together. 
I'll watch the web series for Vanessa. It's interesting to note that "Las Vegas" premiered in Sept. 2003. There was a lot of publicity for the show months before it started. Vanessa played Sam Marquez on the show.

 Good for Vanessa!  And as a huge Brenda Barrett fan, I'm begging her to stay away from GH until they get a new executive producer and head writer.

VM brings in the ratings this is something that has been proven, and it pains me but I agree that until there is a change at GH, I want her to stay away.
