Will Dan Gauthier's Return Mean the End for Kevin and Kelly on OLTL?

Dangit, why make characters that we enjoy and are tyed to core families short term runs? I'm estatic about Kelly's return but why not bring Cassie, "bitchy bangs" and Kevin back full time? They can get rid of some of the dead weight while there at it.

 i'm pretty sure he signed a contract! At least that's what SOD said. Unless they got their facts wrong. But i really do think Kevin is back for good.

But about Kevin and Kelly, i do prefer Kelly and Joey. But if they don't bring back Joey, then i want Kelly to stay with Kevin.

I'd love it if Cassie came back with an aged River. I loved Kevin and Cassie back in the day, though Kevin was played by another actor then. I forgot which one, so many Kevin's over the years. I'd love it if Rev. Andrew came back to, I also loved when Cassie and he were married. When they found River in a manger on christmas, I'll never forget that.

I hope Kevin and DG stay longer than short term. Getting rid of him was a big mistake. i really don't care about Kelly, sorry Kelly fans. I want my Cassie back.

Kelly/Joey and Kevin/Cassie would be GREAT! Although I hope they bring back Patrick Thornhart...didn't he get Kelly pregnant years ago?

Kevin Stapleton played Kevin during the Kevin/Cassie years. I will not count the awful Tim Gibbs, and the relationship was already ruined by then anyway.

I just hope they treat Kevin with more respect than they did the last time around. He should be more than the whiny loser who can never compare in his family's affections to great heroes like Todd. And if he's coming back just so Kelly can be free to hook up with someone else, I don't see the point in his return.

DG was the 11th Kevin (and I have watched since the first) and it seemed like his personality changed with each actor and they were  so dissimilar physically that each recast was jarring. Perhaps Sean Kanan could make me care about Kevin Buchanan but DG cannot.
I have missed Gina Tognoni since the day she left and I am excited for her return.
 
I posted on an earlier thread about how angry I was at the destruction of Melissa Fumero's Adriana. how was Adriana the bad guy in her fight to save the relationship that she and Rex  had painstakingly built?  Plus, she is responsible for bringing my current love onto  OLTL, Brody.

Adriana is only good for the fact that she did bring Brody to town.  Although at first I hated Brody I have to say it was all worth it as I love Bress!  They are amazing!

On to the topic at hand now.  Kevin and the return of Kelly and Cassie are great.  I love the concept of Cassie returning and too hope it is not short term.  That would be horrid.  Get rid of Kim and Stacey and keep Cassie and bring back Joey instead.  Those are characters we want to see. OLTL has done a fabulous job of keeping true to it's roots and with the return of Rachael and Susan Haskal as Marty why not go back to the glory days of the mid 90's with a little Cassie, Joey and Kelly too!  

Gina is Kelly!  Screw Heather Tom she was horrid in the role!  As for who could be Joey, I like the idea of DG but am open to anyone.  With the cancellation of GL and luming cancellation of ATWT would allow for a variety of actors for the role.  Not to mention Greg Vaughan as Joey would be interesting and add some intensity to OLTL!  That seems highly unlikely!

As for Laura back as Cassie I love it.  Sadly though I would not have been uppossed to a recast as Cassie is needed.  Especially due to her Mother being Mayor and Mitch being back.  Let him still be around when Cassie comes home.

Rodger Howardth as Todd would just never work!  Todd is Trevor St. John.  They already made knowledge of the whole change in appearance ala Walker Lawerence.  I do not see them doing some weird storyline where Walker is posing as Todd this whole time.  It would be sick and sadistic but they would have to make sure they do it fast while they have Rosco back as Mitch.  Then maybe I could accept Todd coming back.  However it would make life misserable as Trevor has made Todd his own.  It is kinda like if Sarah Brown had returned to the role as Carly.  Laura Wright is Carly now and it would have been weird.  Just some thoughts on that one I guess.  Who knows what they will do.  It might be the real greenlee all over again.  Although that and the real Lucky do work better than the alternatives.  I just don't see this being the case.  To me this is the excpetion where I feel the recast works.  Well this and Cassie DePaiva as Blair.

I just loved reading this post! TSJ is Todd! Yes he is, although I could get with RH being his twin or something. I love RH sooo! In any case, I do remember when Blair was Asian, but KDP has been a great Blair and I wouldn't want her traded in either... just still waiting for her Father to be revealed.

I am all for the returns, I would go nuts if D. Cosgrove came on as Joey! I just love that man! And  Joey was always one of my loves on the show... knowing who his Papa is and the great love story behind him. 

Being that you have mentioned some returns... I would love for Spencer to return. I know, at the end of his brilliant stint a couple of years ago, I was convinced that he wasn't truly dead and that LINDSAY would return. 

As far as Kim and Stacy go, Kim cracks me up and Clint deserves a good storyline besides being cheated on by his brother. I never liked the Clint/Nora pairing anyway.. sort of grossed me out. I also don't support Bo/Nora either... I just don't like Nora at all. She is a crooked DA and bends the law to accomodate the vicious attacks against Todd. Yes, he has done some really nasty things, but if the whole town has been hunting me down and trying to lynch me at every turn, I would be like that, too!

My thoughts are to can AMC if one must go.. but for ABC, OLTL and GH must live on. And I have stopped watching GH for almost 20 years. Just started to watch again as they were going to kill Claudia off, in order to see who we were getting on BnB. Glad I did, because I was uninformed up until that time. GH is a completely different kind of soap opera and I hope that it will continue to thrive. 

AMC................... bury it and use the resources for shows that have promise. Sorry, I love Adam and so........ but I really think it is time for he and perhaps Erica to move to Llanview where you have real cliffhangers to stories that make sense! AND While they are at it, bring Thorsten Kaye with them... Patrick needs to save Marty from John McBain! 

I would happily see Stacy, Kim, Gigi, Shane and Charlie all leave in favor of bringing back Kevin, Kelly, Cassie and Joey.  And I would much rather see Tea and Blair fighting over a great guy like Kevin than fighting over an abusive rapist like Todd.  I didnt always feel that way but for me Todd has regressed over the last couple of years - I dont fault TSJ of that, but I do blame the writers - when they had him beating up a teenaged boy and staging a rapemance with a woman he once brutalized they really lost me.  This is a character that once was viable with Evangeline.  Could we really see Vang with a guy capable of all of that?  I wish they would have tea and Blair both bail on him and have chose one to chase.  Let him go BACK to therapy and then rebuild him from there. 

I'm looking foward to thes returns. I don't remember hearing about Bitchy Bangs and Cassie for some reason, but I'm looking forward to their returns as well.

Forgive me but I am confused as to who BItchy Bangs is.  LOL!  I guess I gotta google that one.
