The Bonnie Hunt Show Gets Pink Slip
By Jillian Bowe on December 08, 2009

Say goodbye to The Bonnie Hunt Show this season. According to Broadcasting & Cable, the crew at Hunt's show were given the bad news yesterday morning and the cancellation shouldn't come as a surprise. The show netted a 0.8 live in addition to same day ratings since the show debuted last year Sept.
Rumblings are Warner Bros., the parent company for The Bonnie Hunt show may add MomLogic as a replacement.

This is very sad news. This is THE daytime talk show I was hooked on.
I have always admired Bonnie Hunt for her wonderfully dry and ironic delivery and her quick wit. Both were on full display in this show which reflected the wonderful charm of her personality throughout.
I will miss:
the great sixties inspired set with its fireman pole.
the Charlie Brown Christmas tree that has been brought out for the holidays both seasons.
Bonnie's chats with her mom, Alice.
the wonderful interplay between Bonnie, the crew, the band and the audience.
Bonnie's always upbeat and positive but never sacharine personality.
the sense of fun that suffused the entire enterprise.
Thanks to Bonnie for all of that. This is truly sad news for the holiday. I hope everyone on the show will be able to ply their considerable talents on other shows. This was a classy piece of television and deserved better ratings than it received.

Bonnie's show was cute, but I didn't watch it every day, naybe just a couple of times a week. After the summer hiatus and the time change I never knew when it was on. If real housewives is what is taking the place of Bonnie's show, it just goes to show networks have completely run of out of ideas. LOL

Update to Bonnie lovers: I called Telepictures today (1-7-10), a division of Warner Brothers. I spoke w/ someone w/ the president of production Hilary McLoughlin (Her name is legitimate-on the website.) Anyway, the best thing to do would be to FAX a letter to her. She apparently is the type of executive who is sensitive to the feedback of the public/viewers. He gave me this number: 555-5555.

Well, I too am sad that this show is cancelled. I have always liked Bonnie Hunts easy warm sense of humor; and like a lot of other comments left, is the only talk show I look forward to watching. Blessings to her and the rest of the crew; I hope you all go on to great success.
