General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Every time Olivia walks into a scene, I resist the urge to change the channel.....she's on way too often having way too many double conversations with people who don't know her secret....I'm really tired of it....

Liz Liz Liz.....how many times have you said "WE HAVE TO STOP THIS"......and how many times have you still jumped Nik's bones.....actions speak a lot louder sweetie....the next time she calls someone a slut is going to be REALLY funny..however, I am liking this storyline.....I wish the writers had the balls to have that final scene be real....that was awesome...lol.....

I was waiting to read your comments! Lucky pulled out that gun outta nowehere and just shot Nik, what a cliffhanger! Why they couldnt do this with the Lucky character while GV was playing him, I have no idea.

Im loving Mobster Michael. As long as he doesnt turn into a mono-syllabic thug who wears the same black t-shirt everyday, I'm good. Max and Milo kinda surprised me, cuz I thought they worked for Sonny, not Michael.

Olivia's alright when she's not around Sonny. And I dont know why Lulu suddenly feels loyal to Sonny just cuz their dads are friends.

Olivia visiting Sonny...AGAIN. *rolls eyes* Must this happen every day?! I'm so sick of her and the "I know you. You're a good man" speeches about Sonny. Lucky should've shot her, instead.

I loved the CarJax scenes. Carly was right about a lot of things but to blame Jax for ALL OF IT was just stupid. I'm glad he called her out on that Sonny crap.

I FF"d Michael and Kristina, today. TPTB need to add more teens, on this show. Teens NOT related to Sonny. Give the mayor a teenage daughter or something.

So what should I call myself, a Nizzer or a Likker. Likker sounds crazier so I'll go with that.

I loved everything about today's episode. Niz is my favorite right now and I love it. Excellent triangle for this Liz fan. Keep it going.

it had to be a dream. it usually takes liz 2 years plus to own up to her mistakes. i'm sure tomorrow she will blame lucky for making her sleep with nik. you know, because being nice and supportive is such a turn off.

Oh, I'm still lovin' Dante/Lulu. I agree about the "officer" comment, though. I need for their dialogue to change up a bit. If I hear her say "Sonny is a dear friend" one more time....Ugh!! That dead horse ain't nothing but bones. It ranks right up there with the "One Year in a Coma" comment. Seriously! We get it.

Where the heck is Bobbie? Her daughter had a high risk pregnancy and a dramatic birth. She has a new grand-daughter but is MIA yet Lady Jane can come half way around the world to visit. Com'on writer's can't you throw us a bone once in awhile.

Loving Mikey as mini mobster. I think it adds more depth to the Dante/Sonny reveal s/l. Also, like that is causing Jason to reflect on some of his choices. Not that anything will come of that but it is nice to see him not so "Stone Cold"

Mike Sr seems to be the only person in town that can show any compassion for Johnny.

Can't wait for all the new stories to unfold. Great stuff in the works. Keep it up GH.

I screamed so loud at the end of the episode that I scared my husband.

I hate Liz/Nik mostly because it's been written badly. Nik was so obsessed with Emily he kept a brain tumor so he could "be with her" and when he finally got the operation, he dumped Natalie to stalk Rebecca and continue the obsession. But now it's Liz he can't keep his hands off? Once again we have a character in desperate need of a therapist. And Perkie, agreed on Nik and the shirt thing, I usually FF but I couldnt because I am loving all things JJ.

Also, distracting, how is the mayor still the mayor, my view of the media is skewed by a lifetime in NYC but really how is he still the mayor?

As for Liz, Fruza can't make me hate her, ever.

Lucky shooting Nikolas and Nik being blown off his feet is the funniest thing I've seen all year!

Wow, Liz and Nik couldn't be less hot. I can't figure out if we're supposed to be "torn" for her. No contest. Disgusting.

Unfortunately, it was all probably a dream. I had such high hopes for a moment there. Hysterical dream, though! Bummer that it'll be a dream that'll show Liz or Nik why they "shouldn't" tell Lucky the truth.

Funny as it was, it kind of makes me mad. If it was really just a dream, now we can never know till the next day whether or not what we're seeing is real or not? Tacky trick.

It was nice to see Jason feeling remorse, but when Michael was almost killed all it did was escalate the violence; they made no effort to change anything in the end. Even getting him back didn't make them re-evaluate their lives. We're just getting lip service for a few episodes, I'm sure.

Couple of things...

if my girlfriend just told me her father killed someone for hurting on of his children, I would think twice before roughing her up again.

I am not a big NL fan, but I have to say I cant believe they are writing her off now. I actually saw some chem with JJ and it would give Lucky someone to rebound with.

Who is the bigger asshat, Jax for just not getting it or Olivia for not even letting Claudia's body get cold before she made her presence known. I couldnt believe how many times Jax referenced Sonny in what was a relatively short convo. Why didnt you protect my son...you slept with sonny...why didnt you protect my son....Sonny is a mobster....why didnt you protect my son...Mahna Mahna sonny do do bee do be. If he had just said, "I love you, I love the boys, I love my daughter and I handled this badly. If you forgive me, I promise you I will show you that I love all our children equally" his ass probably wouldnt be headed to the Metro Court. I so wished Alexis knew about Jerry, K and Mexico. If she was taking Carly's side with only half the info, could you imagine what she would say if she knew.

Skankabeth and Pukalas...wow classy...I hope nobody needed a nurse while she was scratching her itch. I cant wait til Lucky learns about their double dealing ways. He deserves better.

Perkie, Carly said everything she had to say on the mobster front when she tore into him back when Michael got shot. Jason apologized and said I didnt have proof, plus he was the one that spent the night running all over town to save her and all over the globe to get the proof on Claudia - ultimately he is the one that got the goods on her.

Jax dug himself a deeper ditch that even the one Claudia is in right now. He just kept going and going.

Regardless of who gives the order, I wholeheartedly support Eddie Haskell getting some sense knocked into him. Also, I think that M&M were willing to go "encourage him" because he had roughed up K on more than one occasion - not so much b/c Michael asked him to. I know I personally want to reach through the tv and throttle him whenever that toolbox is on my screen.

I *liked* the CarJax scenes. I still think Jax will always resent *anything* related to Sonny, but I was impressed by the fact that he admitted that hiding the truth was a bad decision. I am SURE that they will get past this, but the temporary strain in their relationship makes for good drama.

No comment on SOlivia...I FF their scenes now, and I assume that someone will tell me when there is something worth watching.

ETA: OMG! The chalk outline with the basket at the end represents Claudia, right!?!?! Dude, JF's character is HELLA creepy. I know stalkers can be a little out there, but a "murder shrine?" Yikes.

One more thing re: CarJax. I think Carly's comments in the last scene reveal a lot about why she's so pissed at Jax:

"I just need him to love you and your brothers the same; that's what daddies are supposed to do."

Sonny may be MANY terrible things; but this is the ONE area where he outshines much of his competition. He makes NO distinctions between Michael and Morgan. They are both "his" sons. I think Carly may be feeling insecure, and rightly so, since it seems that her husband has been favoring his child since the beginning.

-Ric favored Molly - even though he should have jumped at the chance to raise his enemy-brother's child.
-ZaCrazy favored John.
-Lucky doesn't seem to favor Cam or Jake - but I'd be interested to see the dynamic if he had is own little Skankabeth running around.
-Luke *hated* Nik.

Perkie - I think the final scene today is Liz daydreaming. I believe Luke goes to Nik about stopping the affair first before Lucky finds out. And I read somewhere that Lucky shoots Rebecca while she's trying to kill Nik which is how she exits GH.

And again, kudos to LW! Nice that Alexis actually saw Carly's side of things for once and agreed with her. That should give Jax something to think about. But I'm worried about how they're writing Michael.

I just love every time they play Adam Lambert's Mad World when they show the graffiti storyline hints! I hope the actual storyline turns out as great as all the intriguing hints.

samrocks-- I can't wait for JF to come on. Its already creeping me out. I noticed too that it was suppose to be Claudia because of the basket next to the outline of the body.

Loved seeing lady Jane..can't imagine what Carly is going to tell her about Jax.

Please hurry and get Olivia off my screen.

I agree, I think that last scene was a dream sequence. I also read those same spoilers about Lucky, sassydreams. (love the name) What? Alexis agreeing with Carly, I thought I was dreaming that one. As for Michael, I think they need to make Jason a Quartermaine again. That way he can look back and show remorse about everything he has done and he can be a better example for Michael.

1. Does Lulu think she's being cute when she calls Dom "officer"? It's dangerous and not remotely funny....not cool, Lulu. Not cool.
2. I know everyone on the podcasts loves the actor who plays Michael (Drew Something?) but I don't buy (and never have bought)his "brain-damaged" outbursts. It just comes across as a kid throwing a temper tantrum when he doesn't get his way. Jason's behaviour changed dramatically with his injury, while with Michael it seems as though he is using it as an excuse to be an ass to everyone/anyone.
3. Was anybody else unnerved last week when Sonny kept reinforcing to Michael that he "did the right thing" and that he was proud of him? I don't care who you are or what you do for a living.....that just bad parenting.
4.Is Nikolas' lack of guilt about the affair because the writers wrote it that way or because the actor isn't bringing it.
5. Now that Keifer knows what happens to people who mess with Sonny's children, why is he STILL going out with Kristina? I was confused when they first got together (what with Sonny being a mob boss and all) but now I'm quite baffled.
6. I'm too conflicted about CarJax to make a firm opinion but I do agree that Carly let Jason/Sonny off the hook way to easily.
7. I thought that Jerry initially refused to do the hit against Sonny. Why is he being blamed for it?

Pheww!!! That's a load off my mind.

Jerry refused to do it HIMSELF but then he suggested Ian. He certainly knew it was going to happen, where and when, he just didnt know michael would be there.

Kaharman...I only know the answer to a few of those, LOL:

1. I forgive the "officer" references because the first time she said it she was drugged, the second time she was slightly groggy in the hospital, and the third time (today), Dante *did* ask for it by saying he was going to "detain her." As soon as he said those words, I immediately thought "cop," before Loo even responded.

3. Nearly everything Sonny does unnerves me.

4. I don't think Nikolas really does "guilty," certainly not when TC plays him. Remember, this is the same man who jumped Courtney's bones when his rape-victim wife didn't "get over it" fast enough for his liking.

7. The Jerry issue reflects sloppy and inconsistent writing. If I recall correctly, not only did he refuse, but he also went to the warehouse to try and stop it. But a year later, the same man is willing to go after two teens because Claudia asked him to!?!?! Whatever. I don't think Jerry is really being "blamed" for it, so much as he was one of the people who KNEW what happened and didn't out Claudia, AND he tried to off the Corinthos kids in Mexico.

I am hoping, BEYOND hoping that it wasn't a dream. I REALLY want the truth to come out and if it is a dream where Lucky shot Nikolas...that just means it will be kept even longer. Ugh. I literally screamed when Nikolas went down. That was a pretty big cliffhanger..and while I am thinking "that can't be real"....I really hope it was.

I don’t know about Michael turning into a mini-mobster either (and I used to call Johnny Bugsy Malone!) But Sonny’s face when Michael said he told M&M to deal with Kiefer was PRICELESS.

I really liked the scenes between Jason & Michael and Jason & Sam. Someone on one of the other threads (can’t remember who) said they used to think Jason was a complex character but not anymore. I actually think the opposite: that Jason wasn’t very complex before (which was part of his appeal, imo) and that now that’s starting to change. SBu is definitely playing him as more emotional now and over the last year, seeing him give up his son for his safety, trying to deal with Michael’s problems and having a more balanced relationship with Sam has made Jason much more interesting to me.

As for Carly and Jax, I hope they break them up. LW and IR have chemistry, but I don’t like Jax with Carly. Carly is still so enthralled with Sonny and Jason, so let her go back into their world Full Time like she wants and let Jax be with someone who doesn’t brings out the worst in him. I should have been sympathizing with Carly today but all I wanted to do was stick a sock in her mouth.

Jax when you fight with Carly maybe you should keep Sonny out of it , Sonny is not a factor this was Jax's choice to keep the truth , He let Michael and Morgan be near Claudia because he wanted that baby more than anything how can she stay with him when she thinks he only loves his daughter ??
And Carly has to forgive Jason , he really didn't have prof that Claudia did it only thinking Jax had his brother word more than Jason ....
JaRly always forgave each other for everything she can not forgive Jason he did try to protect her boys and her , more than I can say about Jax .....

Is it just me or did today really seem like a Friday.

I watch two soaps. One Life to Live and GH. The ending of OLTL was the reveal of Mitch Laurence, and the ending of GH was Lucky plugging his halfbrother in the chest for sleeping with Liz (Which I hopped up and shouted YES!)

I remember back 10 or 20 years ago, they would have only done such big cliffhangers on a Friday.

Anyways, for CarJax and JaSam, I feel, as a new viewer, that of course Jax has much more responsibility than JaSam. JaSam didn't have the proof until last week. Jax has known for most of Michael's coma. He was being a selfish (yes being worried about your own kid over a stepkid IS selfish) tool. I hope that they spend a nice long time apart, because truthfully they are about entertaining to me as watching popcorn pop (better than paint drying, but not by much).

Lulu Dante, Kris Keifer, Sonny Olivia, they were all really meh to me today. Didn't really progress anything, just making sure they got their airtime for the day.

Michael and M & M, that was funny. The goons (lovingly, I really like them) did what Michael asked them to because they didn't want Sonny to be upset that they didn't listen to Michael, and when they heard about Kristina, it was a done deal. I did have to laugh at the realization on Sonny's face, when Michael told him what he did.

I know Jason won't actually rat out Michael, but he should go talk to Carly.

I wish it wasn't a dream, but we all know that Nik was not actually shot, but I know I am not the only one who thought "Thank God, this storyline can be over!"

*snicker* Too true, and I love the enthusiasm with which Max and Milo approached their "favor" for Kristina (*cough* Michael). Seriously, if the writers really have the guts to go through with this storyline and write it well, it could really do a great deal of good for a lot of young girls. I have NO SYMPATHY AT ALL for abusers, even if they're still in high school. Generally speaking, they don't change. However, fear should be a powerful motivating factor to stop abusing your girlfriend if the males in her life will end yours.

OK, see I have real problems with Jax. It has been so absolutely obvious for so long that Jax has issues with Michael because he's more like Sonny than Morgan. Carly is right to throw his ass out. If it were me, probably because I've lived stepmonster problems and seen other live them real up close and personal, there would be nothing Jax could ever say that would make me trust him with my kids. If Carly knew what he said about Michael when she was taken, she would have been hiring a divorce lawyer like *I* would have done as soon as I learned how much Jax disregarded my kid's safety. And yeah, I really do wish Alexis knew. When she finds out, Jax will lose his BFF.

BigDede make room on the Nizzer train because I like them too, shocked as I am especially with JJ back, but I think with JJ back there was no intention on the part of morons in charge to put LnL together.

There is nothing that they can do or ever do that will make me go against or dislike Liz. At least her character was more original than the brenda-bot we got.
