Jonathan Jackson: "Great Intense Material" To Come
On Air On Soaps' Michael Fairman chatted with Jonathan Jackson on what viewers should expect to see with his return as Lucky Spencer.
MICHAEL: I mean, you wouldn’t be back if there was not a major emotional story for Lucky?
JONATHAN: Oh, yeah! There is going to be great intense material. I don’t know long term, but I do know what the audience knows in terms of Elizabeth and Nikolas. There are only certain limited places they can go, and that will get intense at some point. I look at that as a set- up, where it can go anywhere… and the relationship between Lucky and Luke. Tony and I have had some great scenes that feel like re-establishing something. Again, I did not watch the other versions of Lucky, but for me it’s picking up where I left off ten years ago, but now as an adult. There is a lot of interesting chemistry going on there. Then there is Ethan. I have only had some group scenes with him, and there is a lot of potential for story there…and again, with him being a con man and Lucky being a detective. Lucky is Luke’s son, so he has a dangerous side to him that could potentially take him either way, when it comes to that stuff.
Sounds like Ethan better watch out..

OMG so excited there are going to be many intense scenes. I am glad he is picking up where he left Lucky off and not the JY or GV versions of Lucky. I am already grinning ear to ear and can't wait. Also, I hope Lucky will drop being a detective and take up being a private investigator or a bounty hunter. Love these quotes from him, "Lucky is Luke’s son, so he has a dangerous side to him that could potentially take him either way, when it comes to that stuff." Oooh, the dark Lucky. That would be very interesting. Also, I hope they incorporate his music and singing into the show. That would be so cool,like Frisco Jones.

I'm excited to hear that JJ will be getting some meaty stuff. IMO he's great all of the time but he's at his best in a drama filled storyline. I don't know if I like the phrase 'con-man' being used in association with Lucky though. I think of him more as a rogue.
Anyway it's nice to hear that he'll be getting his edge back!

Now that GV already has a new job I can be excited about a Lucky/Ethan/Luke/Lulu s/l. Having all those Spencers, not to mention Tracy, will be so refreshing after all the mob stuff.
Sure hope the writers don't mess it up 'cause there's great potential there!

I hope the writers give Lucky some balls. Helena pretty much emasculated him when she had him brainwashed. Lucky has to stop being so understanding and forgiving and start reacting with some real emotions.

Yesterday when Lucky told Nik that "that bastard knows me better than anyone", I knew from that moment they were going to reunite them in the future and that Lucky was going to start being "Lucky Spencer" again.
I just can't wait. I don't see Ethan being on for long and I don't see Lucky being a detective for long. He has Luke's dark side that will come out. The fallout from Nik/Liz will bring on some great scenes. I just can't wait to see Lucky push Nik down some stairs!

Hehe, the way he was smiling at Lucky when they walked in, saw Nik on the floor & Lucky standing at the top of the stairs... oh man, all's I know is that I thought, "wow, Luke's a real son of a b*tch!" It was hilarious though.
