Anyway, I do believe that GV will find a job soon on another soap. Shouldn't be a problem at all.

I feel bad for Greg. I've tried watching GH but I hate how Lucky is the village idiot while everyone worships Sonny and Jason and that isn't GV's fault. I hope he finds a job somewhere else.

With that being said, Jonathan Jackson returning is huge!!! I can think of few actors who had a similar impact that he has had during his run on GH as Lucky.

Not only that, daytime is getting back one of the best younger actors it has ever had. I might just have to srtart watching GH again.

I hope for the show's sake that JJ return is worth it, because replacing popular actors always has some backlash.

So they finally let GV go because they wouldn't write for him (not because he couldn't act), and now they are bringing back JJ so that they can go in another direction and finally start writing for Lucky. This really sucks. I hope this doesn't bite them in the ass like "The Real Greanlea" did AMC.

I can't imagine JJ as an adult Lucky. Has anyone seen him in anything lately? Does he look like an adult?

My heart breaks!!! I love GV as an actor. Unfortunately the writers didn't give him much material to work with.

I truly hope that Greg finds a job very soon and that where ever he goes they recognize what a gem they have in him.

Poor GV. The writers never gave him a chance and I hate that they are being rewarded for that even though I adore JJ and can't wait to see him again.

I feel sad for GV but great for JJ for coming back as Lucky 1.0. Greg was great, but Guza keep writing Lucky as a fool and I don't think that tiic care about GV. And I hope that any soap picks him up and he can say to Guza, Hey jackass, you loss.

Guza hated GV in the role and wrote him badly (erhm whats his excuse for his writing all the time?) anyway GV is a great guy I met him at a fan event I'm sure he'll go to another soap my personal hope is for him to go to Days Nickolas Alamain anyone?

pspencer618 - my sentiments exactly. i love jj, but just feel like he won't fit in anymore. i've seen him in the other things he's done and just feel like he's beyond this role and it will be weird to see him as an adult lucky.

No, it won't be easy for Vaughan to find a new job. There are few soap jobs because there are fewer soaps!!

This sucks for Greg and his family.

I think it will be easier to find a job since he's been on a few other soaps and primetime. He could always do some primetime work network or cable but he's a former GH'er he'll get scooped up somewere.

I think you're being naive about the state of film and TV industry. Why do you think Jonathan Jackson is willing to come back to General Hospital?? It's not because he found great opportunities out there. There are thousands of people who want to be actors and only a handful are able to support themselves doing so.

Jonathan Jackson has always been described as one of his generations best actors. Did he ever land a role as a series regular on a primetime series? No. Did he ever make it in the film industry other than in indie films or a few horror flicks? No.

Jackson is a great actor but it IS a tough business that is suffering with the economy.

Soap fans don't seem to get how difficult finding work as an actor is.

Tom Pelphrey gained fame and accolades on Guiding Light. But, he didn't find success in Hollywood. He headed back to NYC, GL, and soon ATWT.

Great actor, great guy. GH did him real dirt.

I wish GV nothing but the best. He's a gem and he deserved a lot better than what GH gave him.

The only slightly positive aspect of JJ returning to GH as Lucky for me is the thought that Lucky will finally get some good material and won't be written as the village idiot any longer. JJ's obviously a favorite of TPTB and TG so it definitely gives him a head start. Yet, given the current state of GH and the people in charge of it, I'm not betting the farm. Seriously, SB returned and look what they did to her character? She barely had a chance from day one. Maybe they learned their lesson, but when does GH every learn its lesson?

He needs to go to a show where they get their hot guys shirtless a lot like DOOL or OLTL!

i wish GV the best. i never "felt" him as lucky, but that's mainly because of the crappy writing. i hope he picks up another job, because he is a talented guy.

that being said... JJ is the MAN. he and liz are the reason i started watching GH in the early 90s. they were EPIC. MAGIC. and frankly, i never liked liz with any other actor/character except for jason. if TIIC can actually make this work, reunite liz/JJ's lucky, then i may just be able to get over my liason.

I used to hear that JJ was unhappy with the direction they took Lucky in after he left, so I'm wondering if that means Lucky's character will be different once JJ comes back, or if they will continue him on with the storyline and bad writing they had for GV. It's a shame that GV was excited about his new storyline which sounded, from what he said, like it would be about Lucky getting back at Liz.

I want a JJ/Lucky and Liz pairing so unless they change the storyline, I will be disappointed.

Hopefully JJ's return will mean the end of Ethan!

I'm going to miss GV so much. He was one of my reasons for watching. YES they wrote Lucky horribly (when they chose to write for the character). Rebecca and Greg had great chemistry!! Greg is a great actor and I hope that he finds work soon. My thoughts are with him and his family.

Have him come to Genoa City as the son of Victor's brother Matt. With Victor going why not build up the Newman family?
