The Guiding Light may be out, but people are still talking about arguably one of the biggest issues with its finale, the lack of an Otalia kiss. Tonight on Twitter, Crystal Chappell shed a little light on whether there was ever a kiss or not.

I saw that tweet- but I think it was @unlessstated that it was to.
Doesn't shock me about the kiss not being aired. Still sucks though.

Its quite sad.I mean us fans couldn't even get a peck on the cheek......come on!!! Can't wait till Venice though, where will get one smokin hot kiss from what I hear.

Its crazy that Olivia kissed Doris on the cheek and they aired it but no kiss on the cheek for Olivia and Natalia that makes me think once again that it was EW not CBS she wanted to keep things "platonic" between them she pushed her own agenda until the bitter end.

CBS, P&G and Telenext Media all blow. So they where afraid to air a cheek kiss between "soulmates" now that sucks. These two women acted the hell of their roles though and I hope and pray Jessica lands a new gig soon so that I can follow her just like I am gong to follow CC to Days.

I will definitely be following CC to Days. Normally I wouldn't watch Days because GL was up against them in that 2 pm CT time slot. But now that GL is gone, I'm going to watch Days now. Watching GH would be a joke since it's all about mob, mob, mob.

Censuring a cheek kiss is crazy. The whole storyline in the end was crazy. They had the sex talk, they showed Olivia buying a dildo, but a cheek kiss is censored? Exactly what is there to censor about a cheek kiss? Who would be offended by that?
People keep saying that Wheeler is going to ATWT but isn't it just rumors? I know Kreizman is already there but I haven't heard anything official regarding EW.
I actually think ATWT is getting a lot better, maybe it is Kreizman's doing I don't know but I'm enjoying it.
I will not follow CC to Days.

The decision to censor Otalia is all the more confusing since ATWT, for its faults, does show Nuke as a couple who have kissed, hugged closely, etc. and, although the depiction of young men in love has not been ideal, they are shown as a couple, more or less. I'm dying for someone to blurt out the whole story that went on behind-the-scenes.

Is she being candid or just causing a stir at this point? Has her fingers taken control of her body? Sorry, but there's noting to be gained by stating the obvious, but maybe to promote a new show that is aimed at hooking a target audiance. Get people so manic that their incredible anger will become incredible joy I guess. Is Crystal like Maryanne on Tru Blood, except she doesn't shake to control people, but types? (Okay, I didn't mean that, but it sounded cool.)

That is just unbelivable! I don't understand why they would censor a cheek kiss, something that happens between two women all the time without them being attracted to each other. And then they let Olivia kiss Doris on the cheek? This is further proof that this is all Ellen Wheeler's doing. She clearly wasn't happy with the fact that Olivia and Natalia were in love, which is odd since she supposedly created the paiirng herself. Ugh.

eriklovessoaps: see, but thats the problem if they didnt want to go there then why do all the stuff about soul mates or declarations of love and so on...if tptb didnt have the guts to tell the sl properly then they shoulda left otalia as BFFs like Rachel/Monica or Meredith/cristina.
oooh...and as much as I love some Chappell I wont see DOOL that show is waaaaaaay too crazy for me, thank u very much.
