General Hospital Spoilers!

Finally caught up on this week’s GH… all I can say is life is still getting in the way of my soaps! Well at least I’m current with GH, I’m still 16 episodes in the hole with OLTL. Before the scoop, how about a little commentary? Production wise, the carnival looks beautiful. I DVR in HD and I must say, this is the best the show has looked. I recognize the improvements that occurred when it first went HD however, IMO, the carnival has been beautifully filmed. Now, the actual story, while I like it, I’m not as over the moon with it as some of you are. Let me explain. I love full cast integration, which is what gets me sucked into these storylines in the first place. Well that and the well placed montage with well picked tunes to accompany said montage. While two montages seem a little overdone, especially back to back, I did like the pseudo explanation of how everyone ended up were they did. Of course, my critical eye spotted a few holes.
Where was Cameron? The after the trauma drama mention just didn’t seem like enough. He should have had a mention earlier. Also, my roommate made an excellent point while we caught up last night. One car caused so much carnage? Wouldn’t it have made more sense to have Edward strike another car and both cars go spiraling through the carnival? Since I deleted most of what I missed while I was away, I have no affiliation to this ADA woman, I’m not even sure I caught her name. Her involvement in all this is more than annoying and where the hell was Diane? Did anyone else notice that Andrea and Alexis were very similarly dressed? I thought maybe they were going to throw in a twist but it didn’t happen. Mistake on the wardrobe department’s end possibly?
I’m sure you all want me to weigh in on the Liason stuff with Jake, Lucky and Sam all thrown in. I tried to not feel teased by it all, I half paid attention to the JaSam stuff and Lucky, well they continue to make Luke Spencer’s son this peripheral character and that annoys me to no end. What I really didn’t like? The Nikolas – Elizabeth kiss. Was. Not. Feeling. It. I suppose this is a good place to start the scoop…
Nikolas and Elizabeth hit the sheets or floor or wherever it is that they do the deed. Is it before or after she gives Lucky an answer to his marriage proposal? SPOILERS say the afterglow doesn’t last long as Elizabeth tells Nikolas this was there one and only role in the hay and it looks like Elizabeth accepts Lucky’s proposal to marry once again. Will Nikolas and Elizabeth be able to lose their lust? Will Elizabeth revoke her acceptance?
Michael turns to Sam. He’ll tell her about his memories and Michael wants some help figuring out who knew what and he doesn’t want Jason to know. Will Michael be going after his step-mother and step-father? EET asked for some JaSam scoop so here it is… Who’s watching Jason and Sam as they wakey wakey? Will Molly stand up to the big bad mob enforcer and tell him not to hurt her sister?
Who’s dying? Weren’t we promised a death that would affect one family? Johnny’s life hangs in the balance as Claudia pays dear old crazy daddy a visit. Remember, Sonny and Claudia come to an agreement; ZaCrazy needs to be dealt with once and for all. Back to Johnny… Olivia rushes to her lover’s side but will she turn on her own son? It looks like Olivia warns Johnny not to trust Dominic. Claudia still has issues with her brother’s current love match and really so do I. I think they were hot when it all first began but I don’t really buy them as a lasting pairing. And boy oh boy there SEEMS to be a real Dominic vs. Johnny match up brewing. Sonny wants to test Dominic’s loyalty and the test just MAY be Johnny’s life. Is it just a test or is Sonny seriously considering offing his brother in law? Will Olivia call it quits with her boy toy?
Lord help me, I actually like Lulu and Dominic. Side note: loved her handbag! Will Lulu start to question just what Dominic is doing in the mob? RUMOR has it Lulu MAY start to question if Dominic is really a mobster or someone else.
CRAZY and RANDOM RUMORS… Claudia wants to get knocked up again. Patrick thinks Elizabeth is less than thrilled about her pending nuptials. Jealousy hits when Lucky tells his fiancé that his brother is planning a romantic rendezvous with Rebecca. Ethan asks Lucky to get Nikolas to end his revenge run. Will Ethan ask Edward to help him get Rebecca to ditch the prince? I’m so annoyed with Rebecca calling Edward grandfather. Anyone else? Maxie can’t find a good enough reason to call off the wedding. Michael hits the books. Olivia wants Dominic to forget about Sonny and taking down the mob. Helena’s return… will it send her straight to Rebecca? Does Elizabeth find a friend in Olivia?
Big weekend for my Buckeyes. I know a few of the GH men will be cheering on my Bucks with me!

I love GH these days I am sorry all but GH is very good ...
We have back to the families drama with little mob ..
We have Sonny's clan- Sonny with Morgan, Molly, Kristina , Michael and even with Dante/ Dominick and Alexis .. Sexis are so good ....
The scenes were so cute .. I loved it Sonny looked better this past few episodes ...
I like as the father and uncle ...
We have Jason's family that is bizarre I tell you but I loved yesterday scenes and him talking about Edward and Jake .. I hope that this is a sign of Story line were Jason is getting back to the Q's orbit .....
Now Jason needs to take Jake back ..
because the way things are going Jake will be in a mess were is mother sleeping with a supposed to be uncle ..
I hated the kiss it was so disgusting..
I also loved yesterday when Jason and Sonny talked about their families and not the mob
About the spoilers I love that Molly will talk with Jason it will be so good have her little sister caring for her
Love Michael confiding in Sam .. I think that will be interesting ....
I wonder what Jason will do when he finds out that Michael has a memory about he has been told .. will he tell him that truth ??

I sooo hope they don't kill Johnny off I did hear about him possibly going to the CW but that was a while ago I like this character and the actor is great. I do hear that there having problems finding him a lasting love interest but thats because there arent enough younger women on this show compared to younger men all we really have is Lulu and Maxie for Dante, Johnny, Spinelli, and Matt.

Jasam - loving the reunion. every second of it. everything is written beautifully and i can't wait for what's to come
Niz - idk yet about those two. I still feel for Lucky and I don't know if he deserves whats about to come to him
Johnny - I love him. GH needs him, he brings life to a damaged soul. I'm loving Jolivia but I also am anticipating the triangle with Sonny
Dante - what a charmer
Olivia - Like her, but what's with her being in like every s/l. she has stuff with liz coming, where did that come from? all that lulu stuff when carly/olivia were listening to her .. uh wouldn't lulu feel awk with her ex-bfs new cougar gf listening in on her convo

good to see you, regan! given their one scene together, any thoughts on a johnny/lulu/dante triangle? that might be interesting since lulu seems to have matured since breaking up with johnny and their dynamic has changed.
i don't see how liz and olivia would have anything in common other than having kids with mobsters and i don't know of any mommy and me groups that specialize in that.
what's the word on max? i am so afraid he is the family member who is dying. then diane will have all this guilt over their argument. is he ok? did i miss something?

Regan, do you think they are trashing the character of liz? I really do not understand the Nik and Elizabeth pairing. From spoilers I have read she leaves Jake to go spend time with Nik-not something that I think she would typically do. I thought the Jason and Sam conversation about Edward and Jake was interesting and it seemed to me like an anvil of a custody battle with Jason and Liz.

I ended my tennis hiatus and I loved 9/9 but I stopped 9/10 after Jason walked in on Liz and Nik. I won't be dvring today, though it's raining and I'm not sure there will be tennis. I can't watch what's coming next.

I'm not sure if this is all a trash Liz storyline. I think they've wanted to do this brother vs. brother storyline and instead of doing it with Rebecca (which I thought could have worked if they dropped this "Rebecca is conning Nikolas storyline) they're going with Liz.
I admit GH has been better, but I'm hesitant to jump on the bandwagon just yet. Usually when I do, I get disappointed.
Olivia... I find myself on the fence with her. Some days I like her, others I'm still trying to figure out how she's still here - oh silly me, she spawned a Sonny baby - and Kate is nowhere to be seen. I think her warning to Johnny is to save his hyde a bit but also to try and make Dante's mission more difficult.
JaSam convo about Jake & Edward... it's what I was half paying attention to. Did I like it? It was ok and really a conversation that Jason could have had with a few different people IMO. Did I understand it? Yes.

OMG, Niz sloobing each other down in the hallway made me want to vomit. Acutally, I think I did throw up in my mouth a little. I can't stand this paring.
I love Lulu and Dante and I have NEVER liked Lulu with anyone, but then again, Dante could have chemistry with a dead fish.
I also can't wait until it all comes out that Dante is Sonny's. I hope I don't have to wait too long for that one.
ETA: yes, is going on with Max. I sincerely hope that they are not getting ready to pair him up with this ADA. Although, it would make it interesting give Diane a little competition.

First ATWT and now General Hospital? WTH? Suddenly, two of the worst soaps have become entertaining!
1) Olivia and Johnny = HOT! HOT! HOT!
2) Carly & Jax = wonderful. Please don't break them up!
3) Corinthos & Lansing Kids = great actors! All of the new kids on the GH block are excellent actors. Why can't Y&R hire kids like this for Glo by Jabot 2.0?

P.S.
Still sad not to see any characters of color with a significant role on canvas. Epiphany dishing out advice doesn't cut it. Like her but her role is small and she's denied a love life.

regan, have you heard anything about the fate of ronnie? because if olivia protects johnny and not ronnie (why do i feel like i'm in goodfellas?) than i will be super peeved!
i know people are saying the jason/sam this is rushed, but this liz/nik thing has my head spinning. he loses em, loves her ghost, hooks up with nadine, is interested in claudia, falls head over heels for rebecca, and now can't live without liz - all in 24-36 months? wow, talk about fast and from basically out of nowhere. had they done this slowly after emily died or had them bond while watching their boys after liz and jason ended - maybe i could see it, but this is ridiculous.

GH has 4 of the best young actors working in daytime and primetime. All four are a hell of a lot better than some of the adults on their show and on some other daytime and primetime shows.
The kids are deliver honest and realistic portrayals of pre-teens and teens. They aren't the spoilt, saccharine brats that infest primetime or film. It's refreshing to see such nuanced and honest writing and acting for younger folks.
Yes, Kristina is self-centered and not disloyal to Michael. Yes, Michael can be a jerk. But neither character's behavior is out of bounds for their circumstances. They seem more realistic in their actions, however irritating they be than many of the adults on daytime (their parents especially!).
The Corinthos and Lansing kids stand tall next to the wonderful Shenell Edmonds and Eddie Alderson of OLTL.

Sam knows Jason well she knows the past he has with the Q's ....

Carly - she knows him and knows the Q;s but I don't think she could have been in this talk
thinking of her past with the Q's and the fact that she did help get Jason way form the Q's with Michael ..... I don't think she can be in a place telling him that Edward needs him.
Liz - NOOOOOOOO Still thinking about not telling Monica
Sonny - like Carly - can't
Spinelli - maybe but he does not know all the story ..
Sam - was interacting with the Q's .. she was with them when Jason had the troubles with his head ...
She did worked for Edward for a short time ........
And lets not forget that she didn't push for Monica punishment .. she forgave her ....
I think that the talk was in his place ....
I do hope it will be the beginning of a Jason story about his family the Q's and Jake and Sam ..

Somebody knock me over the head with a sledgehammer or something because I actually kind of liked Ethan with Rebecca yesterday. She feels so fake and out of place with everybody else and I've been hoping that TPTB would finally realize their monumental mistake and turn her back into Emily, but for the first time yesterday I felt like they had an actual connection. When Nick was looking in on her from the doorway and then Ethan came up behind her and put his hand on her shoulder for a nanosecond I felt something. Maybe it's because she and Nick make me want to vomit and I was happy to see them apart.
Completely agree with you though Regan, makes me cringe everytime she says "grandfather" as if she actually is Emily. She has no right to call him that after she's only known him a few months, and how does that give her the ability to authorize a course of treatment for him anyway? That was ridic.
Nik and Liz could have been good a long time ago but this whole thing has been rushed and forced and I can't watch it. But, that being said, so much is going well on the show right now (Molly & Morgan, Dominic & Lulu, the awesome actor who plays Michael, etc..) so at least I don't have too much to ffwd.

katiebug - i don't see an unfit mother storyline at all. i think this is all a catalyst to pit lucky against nik and jason to step up as father. actually when i put it like that, it has very little to do with liz at all. (not saying she's not important, but in those storylines just kind of dressing.)

Personally I could see this as a Lucky pushing to take the kids away from Liz, I mean really all in all he would end up being the most responsible parent. even with his past druge problem he currently comes off smelling like a rose compared to Liz and Jason

I think I could get excited about GH again, if we had a different regime. But this regime has "trained" me well in that I know what lays on the horizon: Sonny, Jason, Carly, violence, mob, and little airtime for anything else. Just watch - GH will be back to "normal" very soon!

I was actually thinking more along the lines of Jason having that conversation with Robin. She was there from the very beginning of his struggles with the Q's. I get at the time she was in Dr mode but it would have been fitting. She knows about Jake and could have been walking by.
Which brings up another thought... why was the neurosurgeon (Patrick) dealing with the kidney patient (Dominic) when there was a toddler with a head injury?

Hi Regan! I've always been more of a lurker than a poster but trust me, Friday rolls around and I literally yell "Regan spoilers today!" (My family thinks I'm nuts)
I only have one question: Do we know around when Carly is supposed to give birth? I feel like she has been pregnant forever and with the whole "Michael remembers something about Jax" storyline, I feel like it's going to be a stress-related birth...again. LOL

Regan I did forget to mention Robin ....
Robin could have been great for this talk BUT the situation wasn't up for this to happen ..
it could have been IF Robin after finding out that Edward needs operation and she needs a family member to sign it .. could have just phone Jason and tell him that his grandfather needs him that could have been a great scenes .. Jason and Robin like the in the past talking about him and the Q's ..
That is why I think they shouldn't have done Jake getting hurt .. they should have done Edward and than Jason is stepping up as his family member ......
And as far as we know Robin does not know that Jake is his son .. I think she does but it hasn't been shown... she is not talking about it with Jason or Liz
And yes Patrick should have been in Jake's case But I think he was in Dante Case because he knows about the secret ....
