You have to love a person who uses an Internet sensation to put one over on people! Michael Muhney had the Twitterverse in a panic earlier today when he tweeted,

Can't believe this is my last day on the set of Y&R. Gonna miss everyone sooo much. They are all such a good group of folks, cast & crew!
My Twitter page went into a state of panic thinking the actor was let go from his scene-stealing role as the youngest son of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). As I assured followers the star was not out of a job, Muhney himself followed up with a tweet,
Mwahahaha!! *evil laugh* It's my last day THIS WEEK! Adam ain't goin' nowhere! I'll be back next week, and the next, and the next...
Apparently the joke did not go over so well with some on the microblogging site causing the actor to tweet later on in the day,
Wow. Seems like 99% of u enjoyed a silly little 10 second prank. But I apologize to the 1% that got mad. Life can be silly, you know? Smile.
Guess some didn't like Muhney pulling an "Adam" on them...

I'm new to twitter, but was around for some of that - I'd noticed his messages only after he'd revealed it was a joke, but found it hilarious, and he does have a great sense of humor! It seems as though he tries to reply to fans though it's clear he gets "hit up" a lot (as do a few other soap stars), which is above and beyond and nice to know. Forgive me for sounding like a squealing fangirl, but I was honored that he re-tweeted something I'd written in response.

Maybe I'm just grouchy this morning, but WTF?? Is he ten??
Why would you even joke about losing your job when some people are hanging on my their fingernails for theirs??
This guy has 2 kids to support..... goofing around like that TO ME just seems incredibly immature......But thats just me.
