It's Daytime Emmy week and that means we get to have some fun making predictions about who will win the coveted statue and who will go home empty handed. Jamey and I had the privilege of being joined on the podcast by The Envelope's Tom O'Neil and TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco to discuss this year's awards.

After the jump I've posted which actors Jamey and I chose to win. You'll have to listen to the podcast to find out why we chose who we did, but I thought it would be fun if you the readers could get involved and predict who should, and will, win on Sunday. Jamey i have to disagree with you with your supporting actress pic.I love me Tamara Braun still to this day she's the only actress i see as carly corinthos she embodied that role.The way her characther was written on days was god awful.The year tamara was nominated i believe 2004 was the year she was robbed.I truly believe this is bree's well deserved year to shine.

If the emmys are going to do there usual lets give the best drama award to whoever had the best disaster i'm hoping that Days can wrestle the award from AMC they did the plane crash but at least they had some real drama behind it (not the same old lets kill a Quartermain that GH does)

I have no idea who will win because some of the previous winners have had me going HUH??? I think some of the most over, over, over acting folks get wins......and I just don't get it.
Real talent has been ignored for years at the Daytime Emmy's when it comes to the soaps.

This'll be the first time in many years that I've watched the Daytime Emmys, and it's solely in the hopes of watching Bree Williamson win. I will be dumbfounded and heartbroken if she doesn't -- I have really never seen anything like the performance she turned in for Nash's death and especially funeral. I mean in ANY performance medium. I think the only possible weight against her would be that some voters might think they're being asked to reward yet another performer for showing "versatility" by playing more than one person(ality), but I really hope it's clear from her Emmy reel (and it would be to anyone who really watched it in consideration) that this Emmy would be for her heartwrenching performance as a lost and grieving Jessica.
Can anyone tell me what the date range is for what they can submit? What exactly is the "season" they're awarding? (I was confused in particular that Kirsten Storms would've submitted her Kelly's tantrum over her Georgie eulogy, but then I remembered the tantrum was in January '08 and the eulogy was a few days earlier in December '07.)

I used to love Luke, but this year, I don't think Tony Geary deserves it at all. I hope GH wins in all the other catagories though.
