Has Austin Peck Been Let Go From ATWT?

If let AP go to afford all these new people on my screen, I will be really pissed....Then again, maybe they let him go to afford using the vets....either way, I'd be pissed...

Well, I think the newbies--Riley, Teri, Audrey, even Hunter--should be let go before Austin. I enjoy his goofy yet lovable portrayal of Brad. I would also cut Meg in a heartbeat before him if they have to lose a Snyder. Having said that, if the show needs to make cast cuts, I can see them letting Brad and Katie ride off into the sunset with their new baby. I don't know if Terri C. has been let go or not. There's a rumor that she may be paired with Dusty, and we know how Dusty can't stay away from pregnant woman who aren't pregnant with his child. He's like a fly on shit when it comes to that. I would also cut Dusty before I'd cut Brad, but that's just me. I know GM has a large following.

If this turns out to be true, would anyone want to see him return to Days?

I guess those Judith Chapman acting lessons haven't paid off.

I wouldn't be all that crushed if he was let go. He's not had anything good to do in a long while... and he's never been a master thespian.

If Austin isn't a good enough actor for ATWT--I KNOW Marie Wilson isn't either--LOL. I like Austin when he does the lighter/comedic stuff. I don't think he is as good with the dramatic scenes.

I really hope this doesn't mean that Katie will be sent packing. Terri C is a really good actress--very uderated and under appreciated (kind of like KMH). She can do comedy and drama equally well. Maura gets most of the kudos (and she deserves kudos), but Terri is very good as well. Plus, Katie is Craig and Margo's sister and an important part of the ATWT canvas.

I have to admit that I have thought that if they killed off Brad --that it would open up a some wonderful stories for Katie/Henry. Katie with new baby leaning on her soulmate Henry-- could be good. I really love those two actors together. Maybe a Henry/Katie/Vienna triangle

Even though I like both Austin and Ewa--I have been thinking that if Brad and Vienna met a sad fate--it could lead to story for Henry/Katie. Suppose Henry and Katie were involved in one of their crazy schemes which they were keeping from Brad and Vienna. Brad and Vienna start to find out about the scheme and are killed in a accident while trying to either help Henry and Katie or bust them for their secrets. Henry and Katie would be racked with guilt but forced to turn to each other to get through it. It wouldn't necessarily be romantic--but it could be.

Troy....are serious about bring Simon back?! That bridge has been crossed and I think they should just leave the Simon/Katie thing in the grave and let Katie move into a diff direction IF the rumor that Austin has been leg proves to be true.

Didn't Nelson write in a blind item a month or two ago that onc of the actors was very unhappy and speaking out about the horrific writing. Maybe it was Austin

Lewis0817 - that's not always true about SID. They were the first one to report that Steve Burton re-signed w/ GH - on a Friday, nonetheless.

ATWT might soon be ending (probably) time to reunite the big couples. If Brad is out then let Katie be alone for a while and then reunite Simon and Katie before the show goes off the air.

All three do this thing when they're in emotional scenes where their eyes bug out.

Much as I like Austin Peck, there's no need for Austin Reed or Carrie Brady to return to DAYS. Their last appearance was an all-out disaster, and the characters they had dramatic/romantc ties with -- Lucas, Sami, etc. -- have all moved on. If they come back, most likely they'll be side players much like Leann Hunley's Anna and Thaao Penghlis's Tony were. The cast of DAYS is fine as it is, give or take two or three actors or so...

I wholeheartedly disagree with the above poster.

Carrie and Austin are important legacy characters. Carrie is the good daughter of Roman Brady (Sami is still a villainess), not to mention a popular heroine. Plus, Kate needs a child in town who doesn't hate her. C&A's return in 2006 was botched, and they need redemption. Remember, these two are one of the most popular couples in Days' history.

No one expects Lucas and Sami to go after Carrie and Austin again after the 2006 disaster, but Nicole could ruffle some feathers. Remember, she and Austin almost got together before he left the show in 2002.

There are plenty of new characters for Carrie and Austin to interact with, and they do not necessarily need to be in a love triangle.

Unfortunately, I doubt the powers that be will bring back Carrie and Austin anytime soon. Patrick Muldoon, the real Austin, has been available all this time and has not shown up on the show.

Nelson Branco just posted on his Suds Report that Soaps in Depth is reporting the reason Austin Peck was let go. It seems that there was some tension on the set regarding a relationship Mr Peck was having with a actress on the show. Would be interested in knowing who the actress is
