Daniel Cosgrove Lands Role In Crystal Chappell's "Venice"

Wow Crystal is turning out to be quite the producer/caster (is that a word?) she's managed to get some amazing talent for her web series, it makes me wonder if its going to be a subscription based show? It also makes me wonder why P&G just didn't hire her instead of Ellen Wheeler or heck maybe she can take Babs Bloom's job.

That is really cool, I'm really gonna have to watch this show especially if she keeps adding favorites like GL's Bill, Billy and Natalia! Can't wait for the others to join!

Crystal Chappell is either the shrewdest businesswoman or the baddest b*tch in the game? Either way, I think she is both and by quietly rounding up some of daytime's most talented, she is generating buzz. I will now be watching because of this announcement, that is for sure. I say brava, La Chappell and good luck with the new venture. I hope Venice is a huge, viral success! That would teach all those stuffed shirt executives over at the networks!!!

Hopefully Crystal will play Gina she hasnt announced anything for sure yet I think she's in negotiations with NBC to allow her to do this on the side, I don't really see the problem though plenty of soap stars have guested on Eden's Imaginary Bitches like Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe Y&R) and Eden herself did the show while she was on AMC right? So you would think Days would want the extra exposure they wouldnt want to tick off the fans that will follow CC to Days. But thats in the "that would make sense world" who knows what they'll do in "soap executive world"

People have insisted to me on this site that there is no indication of whether Crystal is on the show or not. Have things changed? I don't twitter, so I don't know if she's eating salad for dinner or if she's playing Gina. It just sounds funny that Daniel is on the show and his character is the brother of Gina.

So, is it Otalia part two or not? That is the question.

Well in the beginning before Crystal had signed with Days she talked about doing a web soap and then Venice came about which she planned on starring as Gina and producing but then she signed with Days to come back as Carly and from what I can tell there are some contract things she is working on so either NBC wont let her be Gina or they will right now we are just waiting to hear, if she can't be then i'm sure she'll find someone great to play the part. I also am a little worried about her playing Gina because of other characters like Daniel playing her brother and Billy Lewis (don't know his real name) playing her father I'm afraid CC will be to old to play Gina but then again I don't doubt she could pull it off.

Age really doesn't matter. I think he is about 15 years older than Crystal. The girl that plays Olivia's daughter, Ava is ten years younger than Crystal.

I wish she would have just taken GL to the web, but of course, those assholes at Telenext probably wouldn't have any of that. SOoooo..she should just hire EVERYONE from GL, since they're just about the best damn cast on TV!

Jordan possibly playing Crystal's father isn't that bad. Just think if Justin Deas was casted to play the part. As a Buzz and Olivia fan, that would be strange.
