TVG: What was your favourite storyline on Santa Barbara?
PM: Eden and Cruz’s first romance when Eden believed it was she who had pulled the plug on her father’s life support — but it was actually Gina! And Eden marrying Kirk, the preppy villain, because he pretended he knew her “secret.” Marcy and A Martinez [Cruz] always knocked our socks off. The first leg of their romance was very magical, even though they stayed together for most of the show’s run. Eden and Cruz’s epic romance was the best thing about the show. Oh, and Carrington Garland as Kelly was fun to write for as well.

SB is and always will be the best soap of all time. All of the other shows had/have their shining moments but SB was just amazing. When they were not on the ball they were still head and shoulders above the rest. As one of the replies states that photos brings lots of memories. I grew up on Eden and Cruz and Marcy ended up becoming a friend of mine after SB. Just a fantastic show!

it was THE SOAP!!!!
I grew up watching it and it's difficult to chose one storyline so here it goes:
1)Mary Mckormick,it was a huge mistake to write her out,I think she was one of the most beloved characters of all time,I couldn't stop crying when she died and I still have those episodes!
2)the whole Elena Nicholas story a pre-sheila villain that could be her sister!
3)Cruz and Eden's romance was magical!
4)Linda Gibboney as Gina, even though Robin Mattson made the part her own and really loved her!
5)The death of Andrea Bedford!
I'm sure I've missed much but those were my favourites not to start mentining Kelly...

I wish the Bell's would hire Patrick Mulcahey to Head Write Y&R, maybe with a Co-Head writer of his choosing. I think he could really ship that show back into shape.

DaytimeLuv,
Why would you want Patrick M as head writer? What would he add to the show?
