Lucinda Who? Meet Sair!
By Mark on July 02, 2009
A couple of weeks ago I reported that Elizabeth Hubbard (Lucinda, As the World Turns) was going to play a guest role on Dutch soap opera Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden (Good Times, Bad Times). Today she debuted on the show in the role of Sair Poindexter, the American mother of Irene Huygens (Anita Donk). Check out the clip with English subtitles during the few Dutch parts.
Tomorrow is the season finale of this soap, but Hubbard will continue to appear in the first few weeks of the new season starting on Monday, September 7. Both Hubbard and the show are open to more visits in the future.

Hubbard is awesome. It's great to see that another soap, albeit half-way around the planet recognizes her talents!
I remember when Hubbard was the star of ATWT. The show kicked butt then.

Could anyone imagine the reaction if Y&R had an extended sequence featuring someone's Spanish speaking mother visit and every one hold a 5 minute discussion in Spanish? The horror!

My first thought when I saw this was the same as Joss'. It's sad she has to go half way around the world to get a storyline!

Elizabeth Hubbard is great. She contributed years of entertainment, drama, wit to ATWT. How about using this woman in a story. Bring back John Dixon for her --they were wonderful.

I agree that it's kind of sad she has to go to the Netherlands to get a storyline. But it's great seeing her on my favorite soap.

It's great to see her doing that! And the soap itself looks awesome.

I've been watching the dutch soap as well as ATWT for years now and i think it's great to see that they have introduced an American actress into a dutch soap. ATWT is very popular in the Netherlands so Elizabeth Hubbard is not a stranger to soap watchers there.
I don't think she actually got the role because she can't necessarily get a storyline here. She has a boyfriend that is from Holland so there might be a connection there as to why she got a guest role in GTST.
She did a great job on the soap. It was like watching Lucinda in ATWT. She's one heck of an actress.
