GH: Quartermaine Come Home (Images)
Do not toy with us General Hospital! For years Quartermaine family fans have begged and pleaded for the return of the Quartermaine heir to the family fold. Today, Carly (Laura Wright) returned to the Quartermaine mansion, in need of–and asking for–help. Later–in one of those rare moments–the Quartermaine's prodigal son, Jason (Steve Burton), stopped by and Edward (John Ingle) asked him to return too.
The Quartermaines have been one of my favorite ABC soap families, since the day I started watching soaps. Unfortunately, over the past few years, we watched as Emily, Alan, Justice and AJ were killed off. Ned, Dillon and Brook Lynn were written off. Meanwhile, the Quartermaine and Spencer families merged–thanks to Luke's marriage to Tracy–while Edward and Monica were seen less and less.
Over the last few months, the Quartermaines have seemed to make a comeback, even if it is an illusion. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the one good thing about the Ethan and Luke storyline has been how much Tracy has been onscreen. At the same time, Michael (Drew Garrett) coming out of his coma and Rebecca's connection to Emily have provided Edward and Monica with more airtime. As Carly seeks the Quartermaine family's help, is it too much to hope that if Michael returns to the Quartermaine mansion, the family can be saved?
Here's hoping.

I would have prefered it if Mikey had chosen to return to his Q roots, but this will be almost as good. Once in the mansion and exposed to the money and power, it will at least open some doors and give him other options. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Carly should have warned them though about his "impulse control" problem but again, that won't be anything new for Monica.

those scenes were great...
I was actually surprised when they showed the sports car....I remember when Parker an ATWT got a sports car they never even showed it....until it had been stripped.....GH's budget must be insane....
The Q mansion looks great...I look forward to seeing more of it...

I love the Qs too. Especially Tracy, she is so wasted on the show. Seeing Jason "come home", even for just a few scenes, me all sorts of happy. I so hope they Michael back into a Q. Long Live the Qs! LOL

Which AJ do you want him to look like? The short dark one or the taller lighter one who actually looked a lot like Jason?
Funny thing - My neice looks just like me at her age and nothing like her mother. Bugs the woman a bit when people think I am her Mom. Genetics is a crazy crap shoot.

I love the Carly scenes and her talk with Tracy
and than Jason came in and that was fantastic ... Jason was so nervous entering in you could feel that .. and than he talk with Monica was so beautiful .. and I know that Edward was listening in.. and he asked him to come home hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I know Jason will refuse But because Michael will be there Jason will visit him and Edward will see him more and Maybe later Jason will comeback .

I really enjoyed the scenes at the Q mansion, I do wish we'd see more of them. I liked Carly with the Quartermaines, too, she has good chemistry with Edward. It's so sad that Guza and Co. tried to kill off this much loved family, but I don't think it's ever too late to revive them. I'd much rather see TPTB bring back, or cast, a Q character than another mob character (really, I could care less if Jerry Jacks is making an appearance, or crazy Anthony is returning). It was a huge mistake killing off Alan, I can deal with Emily's death (perhaps because I just found her so boring), and even Justus, though I thought the last actor who portrayed him really wasn't bad, and actually thought he had chemistry with Faith Roscoe. But Alan and Monica were a legacy soap couple who still could've had so many more stories to tell. And since Tracy came back full time, I always enjoyed the dynamic between Monica, Alan and Tracy.
Oh well. It's still been nice seeing more of Edward and Monica lately, I do hope it keeps up. They've been seriously missed.

Oh I also wanted to add that I really like how this storyline with Michael is affecting Jason so much. It's interesting to see Jason from the other side of the fence, watching Michael spiral out of control, knowing where it's all leading and wanting to stop it. Also, it was very intriguing watching Johnny's speech to Michael, and watching Jason's face as it all sunk in that Sonny really did take advantage of a brain damaged kid in bringing him into the mob business to work for him. As annoying as Michael is, it's been purely fasincating to watch the tables turn on Carly and Jason, after everything they did to keep Michael away from a greedy, yet safe life with the Q's, and emerse him into this life of violence as Sonny's son.

ITA Conqueringblue - I am enjoying the effect the Michael s/l is having on Jason, more than Michael himself. Dealing with Mikey has made Jason see things from Monica's point of view and realize the mistakes he made at that time. Great stuff!!! Hopefully it will continue and MAYBE be a turning point for Jason.

What is great about the Michael thing is Jason.. I love how he is dealing with the choices he made , we can see it now that he is regretting the choices that he did , how he was with his family ...
And what Johnny said about Sonny taking advantage of Jason was right on And I know that deep down Jason knows that .. But He can't say it ...
I really think that Jason in the future will come back to the Q's Edward is not wrong by telling him to come back .. in the End Edward wish will come true .. I can see it

So now that Carly's seen the horrifying effects of her truly questionable (at best) decisions have affected Michael she comes crawling back to the Q's for help after she wrecked their lives. If it wasn't so sad I'd be yuking up the glee in this sudden turn of events. And now Jason is acknowledging that he has a non-Corinthos family, isn't that nice.
I'm sorry but for this fan its too little to late, the only GH I check out anymore is the one that exists in fanfiction. If this had happened years ago or if Alan were still alive I might actually care. The Qs are going to be used as a prop and when Guza decides to make Sonny and Claudia the catalyst for Michael's healing my favourite soap family will be discarded again. I'm not getting my hopes up for anything good to come out of this, as long as GUza and Jill Farren Phelps are still at the helm nothing will change.

I also want to add that I think it's sad how TPTB let Wally Kurth slip away, because I'd love to see scenes between Ned and Michael (the old Ned though, the ELQ businessman Ned, pruning a new corporate raider type Michael) and it's also sad that Dillon is no longer around to hang out with the boy. Seriously, instead of aging all of Sonny's children to make a new generation of Corinthos's, we desperately need a new generation of Quartermaines. Besides the fact that the Q's are just way more fun than Sonny's gloomy family, all the kids on this show are practically related!

I want them restored as well but I'm afraid that it will only be temporary to ameliorate us fans and then they'll be relegated to nothingness again when Guza and Phelps finish their lipservice or maybe Micharel will at the Qs and then he'll be turned into a real bad seed ala AJ character assasination and only Sonny (and or Claudia) will be able to help him and it'll make the Qs look like they are evil and Carly a mother akin to Susan Smith. I'm just plain scared that TIIC will destroy them even more or just use them as a prop because they are just too good for that.

Mrs. Adam Carrington, I think you are right. This is all just a sop to the fans who, of course, don't know anything about what they really like and want. The Guza/Frons formula for destroying a fanbase is still intact and working, and apparently following the Proctor and Gamble model -- make the show unwatchable so fans won't turn against the sponsors.
Tracy should take Michael under her wing. Both of her sons were tainted with ethics which have never contaminated Tracy. Michael, as we have seen, has all the scruples of a mob prince raised by Sonny Corinthos. Seems like Michael would appreciate all the underhanded dealings and manipulation techniques Tracy could teach him. I doubt if the powers that be have figured this out yet.

how funny sueboo, I just replied to post #3 with the same thing. I think I'd like him to look like Sean Kanan, who is actually Steves IRL cousin. They really DID look like brothers. Yeh my sister jokes that none of her kids look like her, I don't think it bothers her, not that she says. My bro in law and oldest nephew is spitting image, younger nephew looks more like our dad and then my niece looks like me. Yeh crazy crap shoot! LOL!!!
