BREAKING NEWS: Former Y&R Exec Josh Griffith Lands Trial Writing Deal With General Hospital!

Ah nothing like the taste of old blood! General Hospital has added a new scribe to its stable of writers. Word is veteran producer/scribe Josh Griffith, who co-created the late Aaron Spelling's short-lived NBC guilty pleasure soap Sunset Beach with current GH head writer Bob Guza, has been offered a trial script writing deal with the ABC sudser. When we last heard from Griffith, who also wrote for One Life to Live, As The World Turns and my beloved Santa Barbara, he was being bounced from his executive producer gig at The Young and the Restless for allegedly tangling with Auntie Ri Ri (aka Maria Arena Bell). Josh is alright and all I guess, but when is someone gonna hire Sri Rao?

Its not the scripts or the breakdowns that need work,its the long story that needs help. GUZA needs a co-headwriter to balance him out and Frons' to stop meddling would also help.

Yeah I agree w/tori4rmtexas! I think getting Guza a coHW to balance out things would be a start. B/c after starting rewatching again w/new eyes I realize that the pieces are there, but we need ppl to put it together. I think if they do what GL did and divide the HW teams w/ppl like Karen Harris & Michele Val Jean, you know WOMEN!!!!!!!!!, along w/Guza it can go a long way.

Im such a huge fan of Josh Griffith.I loved when Josh and Michael Malone were head writers at oltl.From viki's incest did storyline to martys rape he is one of the best head writers.Hopefully frons names him co head writer

Hopefully this is a step in the right direction... As for Sri, I'm assuming he's got other projects he's working on and might not want to write for a daytime soap
Whatever happened to that ABC Daytime Writers Development program they used to have (or whatever they called it)?? I would think they'd have plenty of fresh meat to pick from, just from that program alone.

The "vision" isn't changing just how it is written. Everytime I get hopeful and its just the same ole airhogs eating the screen. Basically the same ole story....a bunch of new meaningless characters that come and go....
