This just in: According to an insider, Emmy winner Gina Tognoni (Dinah, GL) isn't heading to One Life, as previously reported! “She asked for too much money, so ABC passed,” the mole tells Suds Report. Let’s review: first Tognoni turned down the Emmy-winning part of Carly on GH, and now she’s highballing ABC? Methinks Tognoni needs to call Laura Wright (Carly, GH; ex-Cassie, GL) for career advice. So now that leaves AMC and World Turns as her only options (good luck with that, Tognoni) if the actress doesn’t want to move to L.A. where she should be playing Victoria on Y&R! Dumb move, Gina!

I am thrilled she isnt coming back to OLTL. I am a Blair fan and it seems like there are already too many women in that age bracket. Plus, I really want Kevin back. I would hate to see Kelly with no Kevin.

This article doesn't make sense. ABC owns GH,OLTL&AMC.
Suds is saying that ABC passed because she is asking for to much money (snag), but then the article states that AMC is still an option, AMC is an ABC show as well.

I read someplace that she was thinking about going to AMC, so perhaps all this OLTL stuff was just that, bogus.
She could play Hayley, she could play Greenlee, she could take over the role of Liza. Plus the could bring Jonathan back as well.

All I was saying is that if she wants to continue to live in NYC her only other soap options are ATWT and AMC. I'm not suggesting she'd asked for the same salary on AMC. I hope she'd learn her lesson after this — and we all know ABC would probably green light a big salary on AMC and not One Life, because they could care less about Llanview.

She would make a good Greenlee recast, but if you read the full Nelson Report we had another edition of "Pratt Talkin from his Ass" and he said that Greenlee is alive and wants Rebecca back.

Are any of these sites reliable, because the suds report also said that we should consider it a done deal that she is going to OLTL and now it seems she isn't. Do we know if she really turned down the offeres from CBS or is that all speculation as well.
Maybe she has offers from CBS and she has given these other shows a chance to match it, perhaps she will take a deal with CBS if she cannot get as good a deal with an ABC show, or maybe she is starting to realize out of all the ABC's show she is picking OLTL will be the first to go, perhaps AMC is the better choice.

Guess I was wrong about GL being cancelled, Martha Byrne leaving World Turns, Chris Engen, Dena Higley VS Ed Scott, Otalia being in a romance, Andrea Evans leaving, Martha Byrne writing for B&B, Melody Thomas being written out, and on and on! C'mon! Give me some credit. I wouldn't interview the biggest superstars in daytime if I was wrong all the time.

I know the information was not confirmed or offically commented on, but it was strongly implied that she had her choices and that she could pick and choose what she wanted and that she had picked OLTL.
It's just odd that she is in such demand one day and now she is asking for to much money. I would think the network said this is what we can pay you and then she says yes or no. There had to be an offer, don't the shows make the offer and not the actors or actresses?
Just trying to understand how this all works.

Or maybe like you said ABC would budget more money to get her on another show because they don't care about OLTL. Perhaps this their way of getting her on the show they would rather have her on. Would they do that, considering they know she wants to stay on the EastCoast?

Gina better take what she can and stop playing. We are in a recession and there is no way any soap stars are going to be making bank. For chris sake's Melody Thomas Scott got written off Y&R for refusing to take a pay cut. I would have loved Gina to go back to OLTL but if she thinks she can highball ABC like, she's got another thing coming. I DO NOT want her on Y&R as Victoria. That's Heather Tom's role and I have this gut feeling she'll be back in the role. I would love to see her on Y&R in a completely new role and run with it.

I want to give you kudos for sticking to your sources when it came to GL getting ax and what you printed months before anyone else. I beleive it was you who said that CBS planned to pull the plug on GL even as they agreed to bring back GA, sent them to Universal and made it seem as if the show had time to pick the ratings up. If I'm not mistaken I think it was you that said that was just a big PR front so that CBS didn't look like the bad guys.
You were sure right about that.
I think CC made a smart career choice going to Days, I hope GT doesn't screw things up for herself. To be honest I'm not all that excited about her return to OLTL in it's current state, because I hate all the male leads on the show right now.

I have a feeling that Gina will jump to One LIfe. ABC is smart. They know her options are screwed if she doesn't want to move to LA. She's dumb for saying she doesn't' want to move to LA. Why would they top Y&R?
