Where on the Internet or just exactly through what medium you suppose did the TPTB at AMC know that AMC viewers wanted the storyline? Seriously, where? Was it perhaps through a soap mag such as SOD or similar? I suppose enough viewers have written to the show saying how bout pairing Erica with Ryan. This storyline is going to be good for Susan Lucci's ego b/c Erica Kane comes off as trying to be the "sh*t" all the time, a perennial bomb shell in her mind and the object of every man's desire. That skinny bitch! I was glad to see when Jamie Luner's Liza Colby "bitch slapped" Erica.

i guess the new story line is going to be "how erica kane got her groove back" lol.

I'll bet there is a DWTS ball room dancing type scene at some point. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we see Susan Lucci and Cameron Mathison paired together on the next season of DWTS so that their intended "chemistry" can ooze all over primetime. lol

It was only a matter of time before Erica and Ryan got around to each other.

Well, Erica has always thought that Ryan could do no wrong, even when he was treating her daughter like shit, so I figure this has been a long time coming. Maybe it will take Ryan treating her like shit to knock Erica's rose colored glasses about his being a hero and all-knowing off her nose.

As long as it kills Rendall forever. That's all I want.

I think it's hot, nasty and fun. Alexis and her daughters shared men on Dynasty. If done right, it could be sexsational!

Oh I thought of another thing this could mean...how much you want to bet that Erica gets pregnant? I mean he's almost as magical as Sonny on GH. lol

This has the potential of being a great storyline...in all honesty, these two share more chemistry than any two characters on the show (including Zendall!)....Actually they have potential to be together long term...can you imagine...after they escape the wrath of Kendall...Greenlee returns just in time for their wedding...racing back on a motorcycle of course...

I'm actually looking forward to this! Erica Kane! YOU GO GIRL! BE THAT COUGAR! GRAB THAT RYAN LAVERY MEAT AND SHOW HIM HOW A REAL DIVA CAN MAKE HIM FEEL!!

This might turn out to be a great summer storyline, if written right. With the botched up murder mystery and TurboNuLiza walking around PV, this might be the only thing I'll tune into AMC for.

I remember when Bianca was in the hospital and they where waiting outside while Kendall told her about Mimo's death. I remember how Ryan wordlessly sit down next to Erica, and took her hand, in that moment I thought, "these two need to hook up, at least once before it's too late."

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not watching AMC after what Pratt did to Bianca, but if he had done this before throwing my favorite character/actress under the bus I would have liked it.

I gotta tell ya this could be hot! At least it gets him away from Kendall and with a love interest he hasn't had before. Plus its Susan Lucci she even had good chemistry with that bear back in the day so her and Cameron might work.

If it make Ryan less self righteous, I all for it.

I think it's a great idea. Erica needs a viable love interest and the show is probably to cheap to bring on a guy for her. Ryan is a good choice as it brings up all sorts of story complications. What's wrong with a hot, nasty storyline? Isn't that what soaps are all about? I think it can only bring heat to the show. It's one of Pratt's few good ideas.

UGGGH. Erica and Ryan?? Really? YUCK for so many reasons. Its not just that his son is her grandson, its also that Erica has been like a mother to him since back when she was involved with his alleged father, Chris Stamp. But as much as I hate the idea, I bet it drives up ratings, and it is true that SL and CM are in that exclusive club of soap stars that have that mainstream press appeal - I have always thought that helps a show ;0)

I think Erica could actually make me enjoy Ryan again. At the very least, it could be very funny.

International appeal? Really??? As an international viewer I really have never heard of either mentioned overseas ever.

There both "big" in the states but no so much anywhere else.

Anywho, they might as well pair them up.

I am happy with anything that will keep the ratings going up! People seem to like to bash AMC around here- but we have to remember its the only ABC soap that has seen significant jumps in the ratings in the last 12 months. They are doing something right.

I like the idea of Erica stealing Ryan from Kendall. Kendalls such a bitch. Im just curious what the scenario will be that will draw these two together? I also like Erica with Adam- that oozes all kinds of sex appeal.

U hit this right on the head that the story could be great IF DONE RIGHT and with JHC and Chuckie P in charge, it ain't gonna be right. In fact its gonna be all shades of wrong.

If Peter Bergman can be paired with Sharon Case and Eric Braden can be paired with Raya Meddine, why can't Susan Lucci be paied with Cameron Matheson? BRING IT ON, BABY!!!

Quite frankly I rather see her pay Drag Queen Liza back with an Erica Kane full body emotional and physical beat down than have her sleep with block head.

If it helps the show and is good story line, why not?

Hopefully, Erica will smack some sense into blockhead Ryan. Of course, given Ryan's track record, maybe Erica should book an appointment with her shrink because she'll inevitably become a loon.

"It's DELICIOUS"! as JHC would say in that Long Island accent! For yrs. we have seen this coming and you know what I think it'll be interesting and if done right it'll probably bring in viewers.

Have you all seen La Lucci in a bikini? She is one super-hot mama. Bravo to Ryan for getting him some of that.

On the plus side, I'm all for anything that keeps Ryan and Kendall apart. Zendall are the money couple in that triangle. I also think that as others have said, "IF" this is done right, they could bring publicity to the show.

On the negative side (and I'm prepared to get slammed for this) who the hell did Golden Boy CM piss off to get paired w/ SL? EVERY ONE of her leading men has been written out after only a little while, except Walt Wiley. I like Erica and Jackson, but my favorite of her lovahs has been Chris Stamp (Jack Scalia), though I was not watching during the Dimitri days.

Ryan and Erica are a little icky together since she's his baby's grandma and he's been with mother and daughter and she's been w/ "father" (Chris Stamp; he was proven not to be Ryan's dad after all, right?) and son. But, like a car wreck, I'll probably still be compelled to watch.

BTW, do they have a squish name yet? Eran? Ryrica? Eryan? Ryca? Not sure I like any of those.

 Mr. Giddens, I share your intrigue at this pairing. I loved their little flirtatious/chem test a couple of months ago and I like where this could go. (And I can't wait to see Jack's reaction! LOL)

Since Erica had Kendall when she was 14, wouldn't that make Kendall, like, 48? Ryan was already cougaring it up with her???
