A Liason confrontation? Hmmm? That has a negative sound. But, that doesn't necessarily mean it has to be bad, does it?

I hope the Liason scene is not a fight. But with the way tptb are pushing Jasam I bet it is!!! Do you know anything at this point?

I haven't posted here in so long but I read the column everyday. I watched my first partial episode in several months two nights ago. Ehh. I find DC to be way more entertaining although I miss my soap.

EET, liason was my favorite so I rarely agree with anything you say about Liz or the pairing. I thought that your comment today made sense and would be good TV. So, I'm pretty sure that it will not occur.

My biggest problem with liason is not that they are not in a house happily married but (like so many other things on this show) the second half of their story made no sense. The liason stuff during the SOS (which I thought was pretty good and soapy) through the MC and black and white ball was good. The rest really sucked. If they were not my favorite couple I would have totally FF. I felt that they really didn't get a good middle or end. So, I would love for them to be in each others orbits again. They should be fighting at least. They should be suffering with each others absence. I would tune back in for that and I'd try to give everything else a chance b/c I miss my soap.

Well Melanie on that we can agree, I dont think Jiz had a good ending or middle. Where we would probably disagree is that MOST of the storylines in the past few years (with the exception of the MC storyline) have been pretty lame in terms of telling the end of the story. Isnt the end of a storyline suppose to generate new story, at least most of the time? That is how I felt about JaSam....because of the way tptb wrote that story, JaSam were vowing their love, Jason was telling Lizard he would marry her even though he loved Sam and then Sam turned nutty in a matter of weeks. I have long argued that if they were going to break up JaSam and go with Jiz for all this time, they should have given JaSam a teary good-bye where she says she cant live with him fathering a child with someone else even if they ulitmately decided it wasnt safe enough to raise the baby together. Everything else could have been written exactly the same way, but that would have been a much more emotional ending, an ending about LOVE (which most of keep saying we want more of on our soaps)that was true to the characters and the relationship they shared, and the rest could have all played out the same, even the LuSam stuff, and they wouldnt have had to damage the character of Sam to get to where they wanted to go.

I really hope we get more details on the fight. I have to assume its about Michael vs. Jake. Will Lizard say why are you around him? Will she tell him to get away from him? Will she say your lifestyle (the mob) did that to this poor boy. I really wish the character would go back to her feisty roots (instead of being a luke apologist and Rebecca alarmist) so I would love for this to be a throwback to that version of the character.

I'm actually enjoying GH these past few weeks. The sets look great, it's looking better and better each day in GH and they got some potential good stuff coming on. All these negative comments from people who don't watch anymore won't get me down. I'm actually in a pretty good mood when I watch the show, I'm even okay with Jason lately, and everyone knows how I hate Jason.

Oh, I forgot to add. My moneys on Sonny being the babies father. Since everyone is okay after the tumble, I mean if Claudia was having Ric's baby she would have miscarried already. I'd be shocked if it was Ric's, especially since he's off the show.

A Liason confrontation......my money's on big time make up sex......YEAH!

They sure are getting their money's worth with those stairs. Now every couple of weeks, someone needs to take a tumble down!

I hope LIASON does not fight about Jason near Michael..

EET, i could actually digest and take your comments seriously if you didn't write like a 12 year old with a grudge. honestly, do you have to keep pushing the sophomoric "nicknames" for your least favorite characters and couples? for goodness sakes, grow up. you are one of the main reasons i don't bother to comment on GH threads too much. almost every time you post, all you do is drop flame bait all over the threads.

LOL Txriot...I am amused. I am not sure why you have to have your panties in such a twist over the word Lizard. Seriously I didnt even come up with the worst of the names and since she hasnt been on 24-7 I havent felt compelled to rag on her nearly as much. And what about the pejoratives various posters use in reference to Samtastic McCall? I guess those are more mature in your eyes LOL?

Now back to what I actually said. I am curious about the confrontation. It should be interesting to see if there is an argument, what will it be about. I actually think these two characters have a lot to be frustrated and angry over and that they never have that confrontation makes the story, at least for me, feel unfinished. Lizard USE to have a serious back bone. And I will say, as I said back when it happened, the knock down drag out they should have had was back when Jason took over the mob from Sonny ostensively to protect Morgan. If my lover and the father of my child put the needs of some other woman and her child ahead of ours, he would hear about it. Shouldnt she, at some point, have something to say about everything thats going on. And if she has something to say about Michael, I agree with GHLover, she cant tell him he cant be around Michael as its a totally different situation - if SOnny is around Michael, then the danger is going to be there no matter what Jason does.

And since I am talking about things unsaid, I hope before we get the JaSam reunion that there is some discussion of the lies Jason told Sam. Obviously, writing her witnessing Jake's kidnapping was far worse than the writers having Jason lie over and over to his fiance, but she has acknowledged on multiple occassions her guilt and regret over her mistakes. If they are going to give it another try, I would like to see him own up to some of his as well.

Oh and the Nik Reb thing is driving me batty. The fact that all these people in PC are freaking out, is it wrong to ask why tptb didnt have any of them showing concern over the last year at various points where his life was on the line? Thats not a Lizard slam or an Alexis slam as much as it is a knock on the writing.

Finally, Melanie talked about the middle and ending of the Jason and Lizard relationship and how it didnt make sense. Again, I agreed not as a knock on Lizard, but as a knock on the writing, and I mentioned they did the same to JaSam. But, to get away from those two stories, how about Skate. Didnt love that pairing, but where was the middle and ending of that story? It left me with a big, HUH? She hasnt even been by the hospital. I still dont get what happened to the Russian mob and the strange voice on the telephone? Again, HUH? what was that. And why did Jerry plant the videos....was the point of that really just to make Claudia nuts? And the list goes on. Solid story telling shouldnt just have a controversial or powerful start, but also a meaty middle and a satisfying wrap up. If saying that GH doesnt do that is baiting, so be it.

I have heard several people mention that Jason owes Sam an apology. I guess we will have to agree to disagree because I have heard Jason tell Sam that he is very sorry that she was hurt with all of this and he was wrong to push her away and make decisions for her. That is the only apology she deserves.

Thank you for keeping us updated. When Guza broke up Liason I stopped watching GH. Dealt with alot over the past 30 years but finally gave up. I will however watch the confrontation or whatever it might be with Liason. When the two of them are on screen together, no words are ever needed. Do you have any insight when this is going to happen?
