RUMOR REPORT: Will Chrishell Stause Stick Around on AMC?

We're beginning to hear rumblings that All My Children starlet Chrishell Stause might be sticking around Pine Valley after all. According to sources, Stause so impressed AMC excutive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers with the upcoming scenes where Amanda gives birth and decides to give her baby up for adoption that the exec stepped up her efforts to get Stause to re-sign around for another year. What? An executive actually valuing a star who is popular with the fans? As Daytime Confidential previously reported, Stause had allegedly been intimating that she planned to leave the show this summer, however recent developments could lead to a change of heart.

"Chrishell kicked the scenes out of the park," says one mole. "They were amazing, MUST SEE. Plus Jake and Amanda are a big hit with the fans."
For my money, I hope AMC is able to convince Stause to stay. She has the potential to be one of the show's biggest heroines. The growth Stause has shown as an actress in recent months has been nothing short of phenomenal, and her chemistry with Ricky Paull Goldin could be bottled and sold by Fusion as a new fragrance and companion novel—sold at a Wal-Mart near you. Think of it, Chemistry by Amanda Dillon. Wow, so this is how Fronsie's mind works!

"Chemistry" - I love it. I do hope she sticks around. I read somewhere else that that's what might happen - she'd be sticking around longer.

Jamey - are you going to post that it was indeed Stuart - as you, I and probably lots more AMC aficionados surmised, was the legendary character that would be and was fatally shot.

I would love to see her as a recast Mackenzie Browning on Y&R. She would have loads of chemistry with Billy Miller. Not to mention the rest of the Y&R cast.

**SoapSnob** With David Lago's Raul coming back to GC and he and Mac are supposed to be engaged, this I am going to have to see if those two will have any believability as a couple. I don't mean to speak negatively of CF but I am just not feeling her and Billy Miller. I understand the character is going through an adjustment of being back in GC after having been away in Darfur - seeing all the devastation, but still there's no chemistry.

I was wondering if Chrishell leaving was a done deal because just yesterday she was telling fans on twitter that she still cannot comment about her contract status, but when she was able to she would. That confused me because I thought it was a done deal her leaving AMC.

Sorry, just don't see it at all. All I see is Ricky Paull Goldin playing down to CS. She's awful. But then again, this show is too. And maybe that's what appeals to the audience, the other stuff is so bad. Ricky has been awesome in his other roles but this is just bad. I thought CS had all these other offers?? You wait, she'll stay cause this is as good as it will get for her. She makes Mandy Bruno look like Meryl Streep.

AMC really needs to get her to stay. She has grown so much as an actress, and they have FINALLY put her front burner. Plus, if she stays, we might get to see Kate "Janet From Another Planet" Collins again!

I really hope that AMC realizies what a find they have in Chrishell and doesn't just backburner her if she does stay. She's super talented and could have easily taken any other offers she was given. Sad to think that Frins and Co. need this much fan uproar before they realize what talent they have on their hands.

The decision to put Chrishell Stause and Ricky Paull Goldin back together was an excellent move. He has a knack of bringing the best out in anyone he shares scenes with. CS has referred to him as her best acting partner ever. So, no coincidence, IMO, that CS's game has been on the upswing. She's working with one of the best.
