As The World Turns Spoilers
Hey kids! Thought I'd treat you to some As The World Turns spoilers.
Damian/Meg/Paul/Rosanna: While in town, Paul bumps into Sally, the babysitter he bribed. She's looking for more money to keep mum about what she did for him the night of the fire at the Snyder farm. Unfortunately for Paul, Damian happens to see this and snitches to Meg. Meg and Dusty arrive and are able to get Sally to spill all to the police.
Later, Meg finds out Paul fled Oakdale with Eliza and gets Barbara to help her get Paul to return with Eliza. Meg promises Babs she won't turn Paul in if she can get him to return with the baby. Meanwhile, Damian locates Paul's pilot and convinces him to stall. Paul puts the pieces together and decides to abandon his car and flee to another town. Dusty enlists Bonnie's help. She agrees, but tells him to let her and the police do what they're paid to do. Damian gets Lisa to help with Meg's plight by being a double agent after she starts to feel that Barbara isn't being truthful with the gang. Barbara is a bit suspicious of Lisa when she comforts her over the entire situation. Damian tries to ensure Meg that she'll get Eliza back. While on the lam, Paul runs into old flame Rosanna! She tells Paul she's broke and has been working at a co-op farm to get by..(WTF!?)
Jack/Parker/Carly: Jack is understanding with Parker's choice to drop out of school. The same can't be said for Carly. Meanwhile, Carly's drinking gets her into some serious problems with her family and the law.
Katie/Vienna/Henry: Katie finds out her adoption lawyer is a phony and has a showdown with Vienna. Afterwards, Vienna runs after Katie and has a tumble and loses the baby. Henry partakes in a poker game in order to pay Katie and Brad back the $10,000. He gets word about Vienna's miscarriage and blames Katie.
Alison/Hunter/Emily: Hunter tries to get a date with Alison, who shoots him down. Somehow he ends up kissing Emily! Em lets him know she isn't planning to May-December romance again. Hunter leaves with egg on his face. Later on, Alison decides to ask Hunter to join her with Casey when they go out. When Hunter sees the two in a close moment he leaves.
Down the line:
Barbara's love life gets a jolt.
Damian/Lily/Luke/Holden: Father and son become close and Damian gets closer to Lily. Holden will be the odd man out when looking at the family that was and he doesn't like it.
Larry: When he returns, the Stewart women are a bit skittish.
Riley Morgan: He will create some drama in the Hughes family.

If this is the crap that is going to be on my screen when Maura West goes on maternity leave I don't think
I could stomach it.....What the hell is Rosanna doing working on a farm????? Did I miss something??? because I thought she fell back into a coma when we saw her last?????oh well, I guess I'll take a little break from ATWT soon,hopefully Maura doesn't take too long.....

i also will be taking a break from atwt when maura goes on maternity leave.. she's the only reason i continue to watch this show. and i am not happy about the way katie and henry are treating eachother.

And this is sweeps month? Is this the best they can do? Wait, don't answer that. This is the third time baby Eliza has been kidnapped this year, the second time by Paul. Vienna has a miscarriage after a fall--Jean "the baby killer" Passanante strikes again! Damian being pulled into the vortex of suck--why soap gods, why? And where the hell is Nuke? One, if not the, most popular couple is off while we are subjected to Paul vs. Meg vs. Dusty round 2,375,226? These recycled plots and storylines have got to go or the World will stop turning for sure.
On another note, I love Maura West, but my God, there are other people on the show. It is not As Carly's World Turns. If the writing was good, we would be invested in the storylines and want to watch despite Maura's maternity leave.

I change the channel to OLTL but with McBoring and the dumb KAD s/ and the Morsaco Fiasco, I guess I be reading a book before tuning into this mess of a show.

Trust me, stick with OLTL. Even if John can be a McPain in the arse, that show is still 1000 times better than ATWT. I basically switched over to OLTL a couple months back (thanks DC for the tip!) b/c I couldn't take that Paul and Meg shit anymore on ATWT. I still watch for Nuke, but that's about it.

Wait a minute HOW IN THE HELL IS ROSANNA EFFING CABOT BROKE?
Paul is living in her house and off her cash and she is in a FRAKKING co-op farm!!!!!!! She needs to get her bitch back, kick Paul Manning out of her house, kick Craig's ass (I love me some Craig) and help Carly.
This show is just plain useless and now ith Damien entering the vortex of suck, Paolo Seganti should have just stayed evil gay-bashing daddy.
Jean Passanante should be ashamed of herself and the WGA should kick her out.

Well, I certainly wanted an "umbrella" storyline, for more than just 3 to 4 characters. It's a shame that what is described for Paul/Meg/Dusty/Rosanna is somehow THE BEST that ATWT head writer can come up with for those characters, is MORE proof that this show is definitely in the final throws of death.
Rosanna's broke and working on a co-op FARM?
The last time that I can recall, wasn't she in another coma.
I know that we shouldn't pre-judge, before we actually see the storyline on screen, but c'mon now.

This show is such a hot mess.
And remember that Passanante said the show would be playing to its strengths for May Sweeps. How horrible is it to know she's talking about the crap in the spoilers?
And how could you forget the joyous news that Casey & Ali trade "I love you" next week and have sex. Cant wait for that, huh?

Someone mentioned OLTL. Vicki basically called a "Time Out" on her life and ran away to some small time in Texas and became a waitress. She met new people/friends, gained a new prospective on her life and family back at home AND ended up falling in love with another man, who treats her with love and respect.
Why can't something like this happen on ATWT?!
It's like the residents of Oakdale are in this continuing time loop and the storylines keep getting repeated every couple of years with the SAME characters.

Yes, ATWT is bad. If Cady came back for this, I would rather have her back on aMC than on this mess of a show. I don't know what the fascination with the Vortex of suck but if I was the head writer. I would get rid of Paul and Meg, have Roseanne be a bitch again, make barbara and Carly business partners, give Nuke a real s/l and be happy for six months, and hook Lily and Damien up. but the writers are so dumb that they don't know what to write.

Well, I am looking forward to the Lily/Luke/Holden/Damian story as well as Cady McClain's return. I'm guessing that ATWT will follow the real world and will depict Cabot Motors as having gone under because of the economy and its effect on the auto industry thereby leaving Rosanna broke. Now, how she woke up from a coma and managed to make it Stateside from Switzerland is another question altogether.
If Rosanna were to claw back and revoke the $49M or so left in Parker's trust fund, then she should be OK.
The rest I can do without.
