UPDATED: Guiding Light's Runaway Bride

Updated: Three more pictures after the jump.

Guiding Light's Natalia (Jessica Leccia) strapped on a pair of Julia Roberts' running shoes from Runaway Bride and high tailed it out of the church before Frank could marry her. Olivia (Crystal Chappell) followed after her and found Natalia, who admitted to Olivia that she is in love with her. Once again poor Frank (Frank Dicopoulos) doesn't have a clue. After the jump I've included the Dixie Chick music video for "Ready to Run." I thought it might apply to today's episode.

Watching Olivia walk hand-in-hand with her daughter out of the church after letting Natalia go was so touching and great filming technique.

beautiful scenes in the snow! (quickest blizzard in Illinois history) but very romantic!

Now if Natalia would go back to her positive thinking from Wednesday's episode, all would be right with the world!!

This whole week was filled with Otalia goodness! This storyline has been so well written and portrayed. If GL gets saved, I believe it will be largely because of Otalia and how popular they are.

am i the only one who thought they got a stunt double to run out of that church? i mean, i love jessie as much as the next person, but she is so pregnant. i really hope they didn't actually make the poor little mama hike up her dress and high tail it out of there.

but her with the crinoline hanging down and that horribly ugly coat....so cute.

PS: how unbelievably adorable is that last picture. man i love me some liv with her jellybean!

This was an absolutely amazing Otalia week. We got confessions from both Liv and Nat that they love one another. They sill have a lot to work through but the journey and the payoff will be worth it. CC and JL rocked this whole week.

Anyone who doesn't think the new production model for GL isn't working, needs to look at this week's entire Otalia arc, from the graveside confession, to the ceremony in the church, then the final scenes with snow falling around the gazebo (and even the last shot with Liv walking out with Emma). Stunning. I'm still utterly in shock, heartache, delight and awe from this week, one of the most extraordinarily beautiful (and drama filled) portrayals of two people finally, finally sharing their feelings for each other.
That last moment just before Natalia ran, as her voice starts to crack upon her vows, and she utters "as I stand here before God" but cannot finish, my heart just broke in two because you could feel, see her pain. And then to watch her bolt, when you know that was the last thing she wanted to do, but the only thing she could, it was just an amazing moment of television.
This storyline continues to defy my every expectation, and is bringing out the romantics even in diehard cynical types like me (now reformed cynical type). Wow, just wow, I'm in love with Guiding Light.

This week's episodes had me holding my breathe not for each scene, but each LINE!!! The writing was masterful and Masterfully handled by the amazing Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia. How these two passed high school chemistry with out each other is beyond me... cuz they are highly volatile together on screen... The looks,, the tears the honesty...dayum! Poor Frank, I actually felt for him this week.. His passion for love came through very clearly... I hope he realizes that he has something special to offer a woman who actually might be into him (I'm looking at you BLAKE)

The stage is set for more conflict, but I say bring it on. IT is the stuff super couples are made of!!!!!

The Otalia storyline this week was one of the best written, well-crafted, best acted in over 30 years.

Every day this week I was at the edge of my seat experiencing every delicious emotion - pulling hair out, cheering, and crying, wanting more and more. The acting by Crystal, Jessica, and Frank this week was breathtaking. Crystal and Jessica's chemistry is so amazing.

Can you say Super Couple? Otalia is one of those rare supercouples that will transcend daytime, much like Luke and Laura did on GH over 30 years ago.

I cannot wait for the next two weeks when the gals take their relationship to the next level!

Kudos to Ellen Wheeler, Jill Lorrie Hurst, Crystal, Jessica, Jacqueline, Frank, EJ, and Justin for creating the best love story on television period.

What a great show. The angst isn't over yet. The beginning of the week belonged to CC/Oliva and end of the week JL/Natalia. Can't wait to get home everyday and watch GL, esp Otalia. Wow.

This episode (entire week actually) has been spectacular. However, that final scene with Olivia and Emma was pure perfection in every possible way (acting, writing, set up...). That there is pure example of everything that is right with this kind of production model. Absolutely beautiful.

This week of Otalia has me emotionally, physically and mentally wrecked. It has me turned me into an alcoholic and a choco-holic in my attempts to deal with heart wrenching scenes. Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia were simply outstanding, and the writing was brilliant. I'm glad that they are not on over the weekend as my mind and body needs to rest after this week's events!! The scene where Natalia attempts to say her vows and Olivia's reaction was simply amazing and award winning for both actresses. GL delivers a fantastic show day in day out, and as far as the Otalia storyline goes, it has kept us speculating about what's going to happen next, and thus far, the writers haven't disappointed us. As for the scenes in the gazebo in the middle of a snow blizzard..that has to be one of the most romantic scenes EVER. I also have to say a huge KUDOS goes to Orlagh Cassidy for her part in this week's events....she was simply brilliant and magnificantly laugh out loud funny. I hope we see more of her in the future. Well Done GL Smile

I agree with all your comments, I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was next. Its not the lesbian part of it, just the love story. Both women are so beautiful and they look at each other with that love. I thought I read someplace the CC and Jessica do really
have a great relationship and do care about each other too. Their eyes are so telling. Why don't we all get a campaign going to write to the owners of the show and or CBS and let CBS know at least that their game show
or talk show is old hat. I for one won't watch. I hope this show gets saved. Maybe the demographics are not right for the ratings and maybe they should be looking at another group. With all the great story lines lately, why aren't the numbers higher? What age group are you in? I am 51 years old, but have been watching for 15 or more years, way back when Roger Thorpe was on.

why don't you write to the writers and owners of the show? We can't sit back and watch the show end...
Its been good since they changed and got right, the new production model.

This week left me with no words. It was simply amazing. Everything from Olivia's graveyard confession to Natalia admitting she loved Olivia back to Olivia and Emma walking out of the church alone was amazing. I have never seen a story in daytime even come close to the perfection of this love story. Its not about gender, its about love.

A thought about the production style...love it. It has come such a long way from a year ago. GL needed that time to adjust and perfect it. They are finally at that point. Everything is beatiful and it looks amazing. You feel like you are right there with the actors. GL deserves more time to grow on this progress.

Everyone, please help save this show. It is deserving.

Otalia were phenomenal this week. They made Guiding Light shine brighter than ever!

Thank you Ellen Wheeler for the story and for the production model. The scenes were beautiful, intimate, and much better than on any other soap.

Thank you Jill Lorie Hurst and the writing staff for crafting such a nuanced and deep love story. It is a thing of beauty.

Finally, thank you to the cast of GL. Orlagh Cassidy as Doris is a real gem. Crystal is beyond words. Jessica showed her true talent this week. And Frank D. is putting out his best performances in years.

Thank you P&G for not giving up on the Light! GL and Otalia are riveting television!

Great week for Guiding Light. I read spoilers and I still was on the edge of my seat during the wedding! Will she/won't she stop it, she will? When will she stop this? Are we sure? It was down the the last possible second! Runaway bride shot too! LOL!

Now of course the question - now what?
Great soap!
