On today's ABC episode of Daytime Confidential Luke, Jamey, Regan and Tina discuss the latest in All My Children, General Hospital and One Life to Live storylines and news, including:
Jamie Luner makes her Pine Valley debut. Chuck Pratt blames his writing woes on Eden Riegel. Pratt Falls, the series, debuts in reaction to Pratt's comments. Bobbie Eakes has a connection to cult hit Sordid Lives.
Helena Cassadine returned to torment the citizens of Port Charles. As a fan of all things Cassadine - except Sam McCall - Luke is ecstatic, but are Jamey, Tina and Regan? Billy Dee Williams returns to the "hospital" in General Hospital, but why? General Hospital is set to debut in HD and the filming is looking better, with the exception of a few people who look like they hit a bad tanning booth. Tristan Rogers believes that General Hospital: Night Shift was the pathway to the future. Why is it that stars like Rogers and the majority of fans understand what is going on, but the executives don't?
Talia becomes the latest victim of One Life to Lives' serial killer, wouldn't it be nice if it were Stacy? Viki provides advice to Clint. Should Viki be Llanview's "talk to" or should she be driving story? Jared and Natalie are protecting Chloe's identity. How long can this last before it comes out? Could Destiny's brother be the rumored love interest for Rachel Gannon?

Glad that Jamey is back on the podcasts. I don't watch the ABC shows but I usually listen to you all's podcast and Jamey you get the quote of the day with "you can dress up a plate of shit as pretty as you want with garnishes and parsley but it's still shit"
I about spit my coffee out when I heard that. Good podcast Regan and Tina you all are funny too!

I agree with Tina. I dont watch the show I just glance at spoilers.
WHy is John the focus of the KAD storyline. UGG
And Jared and Natalie are boring. I don't even care about him. Same with Cole. The teens are on to much.

Luke was dead on about the Amanda-Jake storyline. Its the best thing on AMC right now and losing CS would be dreadful. Bring on Jamanda.

Really good episode, I enjoyed everything.
I guess i didn't really notice how 'realistic' the conversations on OLTL were because I am so used to it on EastEnders, Home and Away, Neighbours, etc that it happening on a USA soap just seems like another day in the park.
I am still sticking with Fish being the KAD, i dont know if it will turn out that way, but I have said it was Fish since the start so i will stick with it lol.
I am enjoying Rachel and glad she is back.
Helena....i like her, but i just dont really see the point to her coming back, she is good but what was the point? Why did the episode she came back on have to be before the HD switch? Why didn't they use Helena's return as the first episode in HD? I would have completely retooled it and had Helena's return episode be a bigger focus on her, but thats all. Anyways keep up the good work.

When I saw the debut of Liza back in Pine Valley, and she was going at it with zack on the poker table 1 min after zack came into the room, I thought for a second that they already knew one another. Then, they broke the kiss and Zack was saying something about no names. Oh, they DON'T know one another. Why does AMC do crap like this at sweeps all the time! You guys touched on it on the podcast that alot of the women characters debut are like this. I'm so glad it's just not me that feels this way. Other people see it too.
The tone of AMC seems to be just throw women at the hot studs of the show during sweeps wether is makes sense or not.
Kendel sleeps with Ryan a few weeks after "the love of Ryans' life" dies and after they go to identify the body.
Aiden and Annie fall in love and sleep together while she is still in the hospital. Shouldn't they be fighting falling for one another? I don't know why Aiden would fall so fast for someone who was obsessed with Ryan, the guy that stole his wife!
