Ratings For Amber Tamblyn's The Unusuals Continue To Drop

If you are enjoying Amber Tamblyn's The Unusuals, like I am, don't get your hopes up that it will be sticking around and enjoy it while you can. According to The Live Feed "Even running against repeats at 10 p.m., Unusuals (5.3 million viewers, 1.3 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) placed last in the hour and dropped a couple tenths from last week to its lowest rating yet in the adult demographic." The Unusuals was also among USA TODAY's list of shows on the bubble. This is so unfortunate for Tamblyn. I had really hoped that this would be a hit for her.

They should have never taken Life on Mars off the air. THAT was one of the best shows on TV

I actually like this show and it's one of the few new shows this season that I've watched. It doesn't have a lead in that matches who will probably watch it though. Although I watch Lost and The Unusuals, I suspect most of the Lost viewers don't really care about a cop show.

Amber is a great actres and for her sake I hope she lands another job soon, but I can't feel sorry for ABC. This is what they get for pulling the plug on a great show, Life On Mars, too soon. Did ABC really think this show would be any better? LOM even had better ratings!

I like the show, which means, it will be canceled! Let's see so far, Life on Mars, Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone, and, I'm drawing a blank, all canceled due to low ratings.

I'm still so upset they took off Life on Mars! Loved ABC as a kid and it's true, they just don't give shows a chance! I will never get involved with a show again with them! This is why the ratings are so bad. Everyone knows as soon as you get into a show, ABC will cancel it. I miss Life on Mars!

I like the show. It's funny and quirky and therefore doomed. I'm still having a little trouble seeing "Emily Quartermaine" all grown up (line from this week's episode: "I could never he a slut; who wants to see that many penises?" but that's probably just me. I always considered NL's Emily on GH a completely different character, especially once she slept w/ Sonny (Eww!).
I wish the networks could give these shows more than a 1 month chance. Granted, some of the new shows don't deserve it, but shows such as this, Castle, Eli Stone, Pusing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, etc. need time to find an audience. People forget that shows like Seinfeld, Cheers and Friends were not instant hits. It took time for people to find them and warm up to them. Seinfeld was on as a summer series and mid-season replacement show for over a year before being picked up as a full series. Cut these shows some slack, or promote them better, but give them a chance to find an audience.

It seems networks really do not want to support any new shows it is very discouraging to the viewer to invest time or interest in new shows if they will only be pulled off air for even less than season. This show The Unusuals was set to take over after ABC cancelled Life On Mars. Life On Mars was a great show superb casting, excellent production values and brillant writing it should have been given the green light for another season to really get its audience footing. I wish we could replace the Neilsen box rating system (outdated in this day and age)with one that truly reflects the total numbers of viewers out there.

I liked the first couple, but the last two have left me kinda cold. I adore Amber Tamblyn but the rest of the cast seems pretty one note. I actually perfer Cupid.

Sorry but I am with Dariclone, I like AT but the rest of the cast doesnt do much for me. The one show I am really hoping gets renewed is Castle. I think its really finding its footing, although Monday at 10 is a rough timeslot.

I wish we could replace the Neilsen box rating system (outdated in this day and age)with one that truly reflects the total numbers of viewers out there.
