Leann Hunley OUT of DAYS!

Looks like another one bites the dust over at Days of Our Lives. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Leann Hunley (Anna) has been let go by Ken Corday and Co. The actress, who reappeared on our screens back in June 2007 from a 21-year sabbatical, posted in her website's guest book:
Hello Darlings! I worked my last day on DAYS today ... Anyway, THANK YOU for all your sweet wishes and support over the last year and a half. I had a wonderful time bringing Anna back to life and will miss 'her' more than just a little.
The only positive thing about her departure is that it will be around the same time that co-star Thaao Penghlis is slated to leave his role as Tony DiMera. In other news, DAYS leading lady Molly Burnett (Melanie) has just received an entire wing at the DAYS studio for her dressing room.

So many Molly haters, hahahaha. Molly Burnett is one lucky girl. I cannot hate on her. Whatever she is doing shes is making her money in these tough times, lol. Do what you do boo-boo. I'm not mad at ya.
A HUGE part of me wants her to win an Emmy. Can you just imagine the craziness. Now that would be some shocking soap *ISH right there!

i'm not that surprised. i just wanted to call out ken corday real quick. after rachel melvin announced her exit, ken said the cast cutting was done. just goes to show you can't trust a damn thing he says.

When it was announced Thaao was out, I knew she would be out too. It's a shame. She's a terrific actress. But truth be told, they weren't utilizing her either. I'm sure she find success somewhere else just like most of the others Days has canned. Their loss is someone else's gain.

Leann's exit is not likely financially dictated. She was on recurring status and obviously not making as much as the contract stars. Unlike, say, Sami and Bo, who get paid a set salary, recurring actors get paid on an episode-by-episode basis.

I am pissed as hell About Leann!!!!!! I mean enough is enough. I have alrewady personally written Dena, Ken and the Sony executives about this mess. I mean if we fans stood up and said we were not gonna take this they would stop. Please SOny FIre Ken COrday and Dena Higley and replace them with people who have passion for this business still. Otherwise do us all a favor and CANCEL DAYS OF OUR LIVES once and for all. I mean its been dead now for awhile. I want my Diedre, Leann, Mary Beth, Stephen and Thaoo back NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!
